01 What makes it unique
The 28RB takes the same 28-foot shell as the 27FB and flips it end for end. Putting the bedroom at the rear turns the front of the trailer into one open, window-wrapped living and galley space — the brightest, most social front end in the line at this length.
It's the plan for buyers who spend their waking hours in the main cabin and want a private, closed-off bedroom to retreat to at night. The galley is larger than the front-bedroom layouts allow, and the rear bath sits alongside the bedroom rather than splitting the hallway.
Weight lands almost exactly where the 27FB does — 5,900 pounds dry, 7,600 GVWR, 860 on the hitch — so the tow-vehicle math is the same: a capable mid-size or full-size truck with weight distribution. Tank capacities (39 fresh, 37 grey, 35 black) are well balanced for a couple or small family taking longer trips.

03 Flying Cloud floorplan family
The current Flying Cloud line — five floorplans from a 23-foot couples' layout to a 30-foot family bunk build. The 28RB on this page is highlighted; each other plan links to its own profile.
| Floorplan | Nominal | Bedroom | Sleeps | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 23FB | 23 ft | Front | 4 | Lightest; U-dinette, rear bath |
| 25FB | 25 ft | Front | 6 | Best-seller; convertible lounge |
| 27FB | 28 ft | Front | 5 | Walk-around queen + side lounge |
| 28RB | 28 ft | Rear | 6 | Rear bedroom, larger galley |
| 30FB Bunk | 31 ft | Front | 8 | Family bunks; sleeps 8 |
Most plans also come in a Twin-bed configuration sharing the parent shell. Four 2025-and-earlier layouts (25RB, 26RB, 30FB Office, 30RB) were discontinued for 2026 and are documented separately.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Bright front living
Moving the bedroom aft opens the whole front of the trailer into a window-wrapped lounge and galley — the most spacious-feeling front end at this length.
Private bedroom
The rear bedroom closes off from the living space, a layout couples and small families tend to prefer over the open front-bedroom plans.
Balanced tanks
At 39/37/35, capacities suit longer trips without the front-bedroom plans' compromises — a practical everyday hauler.
Real tongue weight
860 lb on the hitch and 7,600 lb loaded means a capable truck and a weight-distribution hitch, the same as its 27FB sibling.
05 How it compares
Shorter and a touch lighter, front bedroom with a convertible rear lounge — less galley and no dedicated rear bedroom.
Adds bunks, a second A/C, and capacity for eight, at 800 lb more dry weight — a full-size-truck family trailer.
Same length and weight, but front walk-around bed instead of rear — open lounge vs. a bed you can circle.
