2026 WinnebagoVoyage 2730RL

The compact rear-living Voyage — dual opposing slides open a seven-foot-ceiling living room with standard theater seating, a hidden pantry and the refrigerator in the second slide, and a rear tri-fold sofa under the back window — all in a 31-foot body. The plan Winnebago showcased when RV News named the Voyage its 2022 Travel Trailer of the Year.

01 What makes it unique

The Voyage 2730RL spends both of its slides on the living room: theater seating rides one, a hidden pantry and the 15-cubic-foot refrigerator ride the other, and a tri-fold sofa with a sofa table sits across the rear wall under the window. With the galley and a spacious bath amidships and a front true queen bedroom, it is the entertaining plan of the compact half of the line — and the floorplan Winnebago introduced when RV News named the Voyage its 2022 Travel Trailer of the Year.

The build is the shared Voyage package — NXG engineered steel frame, 2-inch FILON MAX fiberglass over Azdel Onboard composite, a painted gel-coat front cap, a one-piece walkable TPO roof and an enclosed radiant-foil underbelly on tandem 5,200-pound axles — with the 15,000-BTU True Trax ducted air conditioner, the 30,000-BTU furnace, the fireplace and 200 watts of solar standard. The published dry weight plus payload equals the 10,400-pound GVWR exactly, matching the published axle ratings.

One number sets the 2730RL apart, and not favorably: it is the only Voyage without a second grey tank — 49 gallons total where every other plan carries 96 or 98 — so boondocking couples should plan their dump stops accordingly. At 7,479 pounds dry with an 826-pound tongue and 2,921 pounds of payload, the towing math is friendly. For a couple who want a genuine dual-slide living room in a trailer that still fits ordinary sites, this is the compact entertainer.

03 Voyage floorplan family

Winnebago's Voyage line — eight 2026 half-ton family travel trailers on the laminated FILON MAX / Azdel build, from a 27-foot-11 rear-bath entry to a 38-foot-11 triple-slide flagship bunkhouse, rated to 10,400 pounds on the five lighter plans and 11,000 on the three heaviest. The 2730RL on this page is highlighted; every 2026 plan links to its own profiled page.

Every Voyage rides tandem 5,200-pound axles on Goodyear Endurance Load Range E tires, with a 60-gallon fresh tank, a 15-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, a 15,000-BTU True Trax ducted air conditioner, a 30,000-BTU furnace, a fireplace and 200 watts of rooftop solar standard on every plan. GVWR is 10,400 pounds on the five lighter plans — a figure the published axle ratings sum to exactly — and 11,000 on the three heaviest (3235FK, 3438RK, 3538BR), where the balance above the axle pair is carried on the tongue. On every plan the published dry weight plus payload equals the GVWR exactly. Figures are RVUSA structured records cross-checked against Winnebago's factory specification table AND the factory brochure, which agree exactly; tongue weights, awning lengths, axle ratings and second-grey-tank capacities are factory figures. Always confirm against the unit's weight sticker before towing.

04 What owners & reviewers report

A real living room at 31 feet

Dual opposing slides and seven-foot ceilings open the main room the way far longer trailers do — theater seating comes standard here, not as an option.

The hidden-pantry slide

The second slide carries a concealed pantry alongside the refrigerator — galley storage without eating floor space.

The only single-grey-tank Voyage

49 gallons of grey capacity total, versus 96–98 on every other plan — the factory table marks the second grey tank N/A on this floorplan alone. Long-stay couples should weigh this against the 2831RB or 3235RL.

Award-launch pedigree

Winnebago debuted the 2730RL in spring 2022 as RV News crowned the Voyage its Travel Trailer of the Year — the plan built to show the line off.
