01 What makes it unique
The Access 28FK zones its 32 feet like a small home: the galley takes the front, a large pass-through bathroom sits amidships, a dinette faces slide-out seating that converts to a Murphy+ bed for guests, and a true rear queen bedroom occupies the quiet end. A massive front storage area handles the bulky gear that would otherwise ride inside.
It rides the tandem package — NXG engineered steel frame, Tuff-Coat metal exterior, one-piece TPO roof, enclosed radiant-foil underbelly, tandem 4,400-pound axles on 15-inch Load Range E tires, a 13,500-BTU ducted air conditioner, a 30,000-BTU furnace, a 60,000-BTU tankless water heater and a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, with a 60-gallon fresh tank and dual grey tanks totalling 96 gallons. Dry weight plus payload equals the 8,800-pound GVWR exactly.
The front kitchen shows up on the hitch: at 998 pounds the 28FK carries the heaviest dry tongue weight of the mid-length plans — the galley's appliances and cabinetry ride ahead of the axles — so the tow vehicle's payload math deserves a look before the floorplan wins. Its 2,010 pounds of payload asks for disciplined loading, too. But for a couple who want a real rear bedroom, a genuine front kitchen and a Murphy+ berth for guests, the 28FK is the one drawn that way.

The Access splits into two build classes. The four single-axle plans (15- and 18-series) are rated to a 5,100-pound GVWR on one 5,100-pound axle, with an 8,000-BTU roof A/C, an 18,000-BTU furnace and a 6-gallon DSI water heater. The ten tandem plans carry an 8,800-pound GVWR on 4,400-pound axles — the 32BR uniquely on 5,200-pound axles for 10,400 pounds — and add a 13,500-BTU ducted A/C, a 30,000-BTU furnace, a 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, a 10-cubic-foot refrigerator and a 2-inch accessory receiver. On every plan the published dry weight plus payload equals the GVWR exactly. Figures are RVUSA structured records cross-checked against Winnebago's factory specification table; tongue weights, awning lengths, axle ratings and dual-grey-tank capacities are factory figures. Always confirm against the unit's weight sticker before towing.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Apartment-style zoning
Kitchen forward, bath amidships, bedroom aft — the 28FK gives real front-to-back separation.
A Murphy+ berth for guests
The dinette's slide seating converts to a Murphy+ bed — a guest berth without a dedicated bunk room.
Heaviest tongue of the mid plans
998 lb on the hitch dry, from the front galley — check the tow vehicle's payload placard.
Mind the payload
2,010 lb of cargo margin against the front-loaded galley — weigh the loaded rig.
05 How it compares
The rear-living plan — a lounge with a view and lighter tongue, instead of the front kitchen and rear bedroom.
The big family bunkhouse — a rear bunk room and bath, sleeping seven.
The laminated front-galley rivals — compare tongue loads, bedroom placement and build.
