01 What makes it unique

The Jay Feather 29BHB is the largest of these six and the one built for serious family time. It pairs a private front bedroom with rear bunks and adds the feature large families ask for most — an outdoor kitchen, so cooking and cleanup move outside rather than crowding the galley. At 34 feet it sleeps ten and carries the most payload of the group, while keeping Jay Feather’s residential finish.

The build is the same step-up platform stretched to its largest family form — Norco® Z-frame, Stronghold VBL™ laminated walls, Magnum Truss™ roof, 11 cubic-foot 12-volt fridge — with an 8,500-pound GVWR on a 6,820-pound dry weight. That yields 1,680 pounds of payload, the most of these six, and the 55-gallon fresh with a 68-gallon gray supports an extended family stay.

It is a trailer that wants a capable tow vehicle and a full-size site, at an MSRP near $51,000 — but for its size and ten berths it remains the value end of the premium-feature family trailers. For a large family planning week-or-longer trips who want indoor-outdoor living and room for everyone, the 29BHB is the flagship of the Jay Feather line.

03 Jay Feather floorplan family

Jay Feather is Jayco's lightweight step-up travel trailer — a notch above the value Jay Flight SLX, built on an American-made Norco® Z-frame with vacuum-bonded laminated walls, an 11 cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator and residential touches. The 2026 line runs nineteen floorplans from compact Murphy-bed couples' trailers up to 36-foot family bunkhouses. The 29BHB on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page, and the rest of the line is catalogued on the hub.

Most Jay Feather floorplans carry a single slide and an optional king bed in place of the standard 60×80 queen; several add an outdoor camp kitchen. Jay Feather replaced the discontinued White Hawk in Jayco's range for 2025, absorbing its more-featured positioning. Additional floorplans (front-kitchen, rear-living, and bunk layouts) are documented on the line hub. Always confirm equipment and weights against the unit's own weight sticker.

04 What owners & reviewers report

Outdoor kitchen for long trips

An exterior camp kitchen moves cooking outside — the feature large families value most on extended stays.

Most payload of the six

1,680 lb of payload on an 8,500-lb GVWR is the highest here — room for everything a big family brings.

Indoor-outdoor family living

Double bunks, a slide and the outdoor kitchen make it a genuine basecamp for week-plus trips with everyone aboard.

Big trailer, big tow vehicle

At 34 feet and 6,820 lb dry it needs a capable truck and a full-size site — not a casual-weekend rig.
