01 What makes it unique
The Jay Feather 30RKB is built around a freestanding kitchen island. Rather than a galley pinned to one wall, the rear of the trailer opens into an island-centred cook’s kitchen — more counter, more prep room and a social layout where the cook faces the living area — while a private bedroom sits up front. Twin slides push the walls out on both ends, so a 36-foot floorplan that nominally sleeps four lives like a much larger couples’ coach for two who treat cooking as the centre of camp.
Underneath is the full Jay Feather platform — an American-made Norco® Z-frame with integrated A-frame, a vacuum-bonded Stronghold VBL™ laminated floor, the Magnum Truss™ roof and an aluminum-framed rounded front. An 8,995-pound GVWR on a 7,245-pound dry weight leaves 1,750 pounds of payload — among the most generous of the profiled Feathers — and the 11 cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, 55-gallon fresh tank and residential finish carry over from the rest of the line. A molded front cap is standard on this plan, giving it the more finished nose of the larger Feathers.
It sleeps four but is really an island-kitchen couples’ trailer, near an MSRP of $52,600 before the usual dealer discounting. For two who want a true cook’s kitchen with an island rather than a wall galley, and the space that twin slides and 36 feet allow, the 30RKB is the kitchen-forward flagship of the rear-galley Feathers — a step up in size and finish from the twin-slide 27MK.

The 2026 line runs nineteen floorplans from compact Murphy-bed couples' trailers up to 36-foot family bunkhouses. The 30RKB on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page, and the rest of the line is catalogued on the hub.

Most Jay Feather floorplans carry a single slide and an optional king bed in place of the standard 60×80 queen; several add an outdoor camp kitchen. Jay Feather replaced the discontinued White Hawk in Jayco's range for 2025, absorbing its more-featured positioning. Additional floorplans (front-kitchen, rear-living, and bunk layouts) are documented on the line hub. Always confirm equipment and weights against the unit's own weight sticker.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Freestanding kitchen island
A rear island gives more counter and prep room than a wall galley and puts the cook in the living space — the 30RKB’s defining feature.
Twin slides, generous payload
Two slide-outs open both ends of a 36-foot body, and 1,750 lb of payload is among the highest of the profiled Feathers — room for gear on long stays.
Molded front cap standard
A molded front cap comes standard on this plan, giving it the more finished nose and aero profile of the larger Feathers.
Sleeps four, built for two
The island-kitchen layout trades berth count for cooking and living space — right for couples who cook, not for families needing bunks.
05 How it compares
A shorter twin-slide rear-island-kitchen coach — the same cook-forward idea in a lighter 33-foot body for couples who want less trailer.
A similar-length twin-slide coach that trades the island kitchen for a dedicated rear lounge and a third tank of gray — living-first rather than kitchen-first.
A premium laminated-aluminum trailer with more finish and capacity at a higher price than the Feather.
