01 What makes it unique

The 3420 is Brinkley’s rear-patio entertainer, a redesign of the popular 3400 built from owner feedback — the living area flipped to put the windows and seating on the camp side, an extra foot of length, and more storage. Its signature is a Zero-Gravity rear patio rated to 1,500 pounds, with solid flooring, full railing and a one-touch weather wall, plus a wet bar just inside with a 12-volt fridge that stays powered on the road, and a full outdoor kitchen with an outdoor TV and bar sink. Inside, a center-island kitchen with a 30-inch residential microwave, a 16-cubic-foot refrigerator and a large adjustable-shelf pantry serves a living room with a 64-inch tri-fold sofa (a 54-by-70-inch sleeper), theater seating, a televator and a fireplace. A dual-entry walk-through full bath separates it from a private front bedroom with a king bed slide-out and washer/dryer prep.

It is a heavier, longer plan that rides on 8,000-pound tandem axles. RVUSA lists a published 17,695-pound GVWR against a 14,794-pound dry weight, leaving a 2,901-pound payload and a 2,612-pound dry pin — figures that want a properly rated three-quarter-ton or one-ton truck. The full Brinkley build carries through on the monotube triple-powder-coated chassis, a CURT Touring Coil suspension with ABS, a Helux king pin and brass plumbing, with two air conditioners, a 370-watt solar package and the class-leading 79.5-inch bed and bath ceiling height standard.

At an MSRP of $136,263 it is one of the more expensive plans in the line, reflecting the rear-patio package. For a couple who entertains — indoors or out on a true three-season rear deck — and wants a king bedroom and a gourmet kitchen in Brinkley’s luxury build, the 3420 is the line’s social coach.

The Brinkley Model Z is a mid-size luxury fifth wheel built by Brinkley RV, an independent manufacturer founded by RV-industry veterans. The full line runs to twelve floorplans for 2026; eight are profiled here and four more are catalogued above. Every plan rides on the same monotube triple-powder-coated chassis with 7,000-pound tandem axles on 8,000-pound leaf springs, a CURT Touring Coil suspension with ABS and a Helux king pin, and a fully enclosed, heated underbelly, and ships with a 370-watt roof solar package (740-watt ready) with a 50-amp MPPT controller, a 16-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, brass plumbing fittings and a tankless on-demand water heater as standard — with a class-leading 79.5-inch bed and bath ceiling height. Body specifications (lengths, heights, payload, tanks, sleeping, slides and awnings) are RVUSA-verified against the 2026 structured spec records, each page fp-slug and title checked; dry weight, GVWR, payload and pin weight are published per plan, and each plan's dry weight plus payload equals its GVWR exactly. Real loaded pin weights run higher — always weigh the loaded coach and confirm against your truck's payload and rear-axle ratings.

04 What owners & reviewers report

Zero-Gravity rear patio

A 1,500-lb rear deck with solid flooring, full railing, a one-touch weather wall and a powered wet bar — a true three-season outdoor room.

Outdoor kitchen + king bed

A full outdoor kitchen with TV and bar sink, plus a private front bedroom with a king bed slide-out — the entertainer’s layout.

8,000-lb axles

Heavier 8,000-pound tandem axles (not the 7,000-pound axles of the lighter plans) under a 17,695-lb GVWR — confirm a properly rated 3/4- or 1-ton truck.

Grey-tank figure

RVUSA lists a 90-gallon grey tank; some manufacturer press material for the prototype quoted 130 gallons. The published RVUSA structured figure is used here.
