01 What makes it unique

The Salem Hemisphere 308RL is the most spacious Hemisphere built for couples — a triple-slide rear-living coach with a panoramic-window lounge across the back, a kitchen island, a front bedroom with a custom king bed, and, past the bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe and a washer/dryer area sized for a separate washer and dryer. It is the one Hemisphere plan without a front windshield, by design. Its twin in the Wildwood Heritage Glen 308RL is the identical trailer in different décor.

It carries the premium-laminate build of the line: a vacuum-laminated “Aluma Frame” sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls, Nordic Marble counters, a 10-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator and an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube with a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner. Two awnings (12 and 14 feet) and a free-standing dinette option extend the living space; a JBL sound system plays inside and out, and a 200-watt roof-solar package is optional.

With an 11,385-pound derived GVWR the 308RL leaves about 1,842 pounds of cargo capacity and a 1,185-pound tongue, so it needs a capable half-ton or a three-quarter-ton truck. Its 90-gallon gray tank is the largest in the line — useful for the longer stays this coach invites — against 45 gallons fresh and 30 black. For two who want a residential rear lounge, an island kitchen and real laundry capacity in the Hemisphere’s laminate build — with the identical Wildwood Heritage Glen to cross-shop — the 308RL is the couples flagship.

03 Salem Hemisphere & Wildwood Heritage Glen floorplan family

Forest River's Salem Hemisphere and its twin the Wildwood Heritage Glen are the same premium-laminate travel trailers built on the same factory line, differing mainly in graphics and décor and sharing an identical floorplan roster. Hemisphere sits at the top of the Salem / Wildwood travel-trailer ladder — a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" coach with a one-piece fiberglass roof, Nordic Marble counters, an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube and an automotive windshield — in two tiers: a lighter Hyper-Lyte series of half-ton plans and a heavier full-Hemisphere series of triple-slide family and couples' coaches. The 308RL on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The line runs to roughly two dozen travel-trailer floorplans plus a fifth-wheel range; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

Every Salem Hemisphere and Wildwood Heritage Glen trailer is built on a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls and wide-stance 42-inch axles, and ships with an Elevated Value Package (one-piece fiberglass roof, 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, JBL audio, flush-floor slides) and an Expedition Package (60-by-80 or 72-by-80 beds, 18,000-BTU Furrion main A/C, enclosed underbelly with 12V tank heaters, washer/dryer prep). The full-Hemisphere plans add a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner (not the 261FKRB or 265BSRB), an electric fireplace on most models, a 50-inch smart TV and an outside kitchen on the larger bunk and rear-living plans. A roof-mounted 200-watt solar package is optional on every plan. Lengths, weights and equipment change with options, region and model year — always confirm against the unit's own weight sticker. Additional Hemisphere travel-trailer floorplans (and the Hemisphere fifth-wheel range) are catalogued on the line hub.

04 What owners & reviewers report

The most spacious Hemisphere for two

Triple slides, a panoramic rear lounge, a kitchen island, a custom king bedroom and a walk-in wardrobe with room for a separate washer and dryer — the couples flagship of the line.

Biggest gray tank in the line

At 90 gallons the 308RL’s gray tank is the largest of any Hemisphere travel trailer — matched to the longer stays a rear-living couples coach invites; fresh is 45 and black is 30.

GVWR is derived, not published

Forest River publishes UVW (9,543) and CCC (1,842) but not GVWR; the 11,385-lb figure is UVW + CCC, Forest River’s own definition. Flagged.

No front windshield

The 308RL is the only Hemisphere plan built without a front windshield — the front cap is solid where the laundry/wardrobe sits. This is by design, not an omission.

Selling price, not MSRP

Dealer MSRP placards run into the $60,000s while selling prices cluster around $47,000; the figure shown is a representative dealer-typical selling price and is flagged.
