01 What makes it unique
The Salem Hemisphere 314BUD is the full-Hemisphere bath-and-a-half bunkhouse — a private rear bunk room with a convertible Versa Queen, a front private bedroom, a U-shaped dinette and plenty of living space, plus a second half-bath that guests can reach through the rear entrance, in a 38-foot-9 body opened by two slides and an outside kitchen. The factory calls it one of its most popular full-size bunkhouses. Its twin in the Wildwood Heritage Glen 314BUD is the identical trailer in different décor.
It carries the full-Hemisphere build: a vacuum-laminated “Aluma Frame” sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls, Nordic Marble counters, a 10-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator, an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube with a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner, a fireplace, JBL audio and a 50-inch TV. An outside kitchen extends the galley to the campsite; a 200-watt roof-solar package is optional. Unusually for the line, the 314BUD is not offered with washer/dryer prep — the second half-bath takes that space.
With an 11,510-pound derived GVWR the 314BUD leaves about 2,667 pounds of cargo capacity — strong for a family bunkhouse — over a 1,310-pound tongue, and the factory notes it stays towable by many newer half-ton trucks with weight distribution; a three-quarter-ton adds margin. Tanks run 45 fresh, 78 gray and a large 60-gallon black to match the bath-and-a-half. For a family that wants two bathrooms, a private bunk room and an outside kitchen in the Hemisphere’s laminate build — with the identical Wildwood Heritage Glen to cross-shop — the 314BUD is the two-bath family pick.

03 Salem Hemisphere & Wildwood Heritage Glen floorplan family
Forest River's Salem Hemisphere and its twin the Wildwood Heritage Glen are the same premium-laminate travel trailers built on the same factory line, differing mainly in graphics and décor and sharing an identical floorplan roster. Hemisphere sits at the top of the Salem / Wildwood travel-trailer ladder — a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" coach with a one-piece fiberglass roof, Nordic Marble counters, an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube and an automotive windshield — in two tiers: a lighter Hyper-Lyte series of half-ton plans and a heavier full-Hemisphere series of triple-slide family and couples' coaches. The 314BUD on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The line runs to roughly two dozen travel-trailer floorplans plus a fifth-wheel range; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

Every Salem Hemisphere and Wildwood Heritage Glen trailer is built on a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls and wide-stance 42-inch axles, and ships with an Elevated Value Package (one-piece fiberglass roof, 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, JBL audio, flush-floor slides) and an Expedition Package (60-by-80 or 72-by-80 beds, 18,000-BTU Furrion main A/C, enclosed underbelly with 12V tank heaters, washer/dryer prep). The full-Hemisphere plans add a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner (not the 261FKRB or 265BSRB), an electric fireplace on most models, a 50-inch smart TV and an outside kitchen on the larger bunk and rear-living plans. A roof-mounted 200-watt solar package is optional on every plan. Lengths, weights and equipment change with options, region and model year — always confirm against the unit's own weight sticker. Additional Hemisphere travel-trailer floorplans (and the Hemisphere fifth-wheel range) are catalogued on the line hub.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Two bathrooms + a private bunk room
A bath-and-a-half — the second half-bath reachable from the rear entrance — with a private rear bunk room, a U-dinette, a front bedroom and an outside kitchen; the factory calls it one of its most popular full-size bunkhouses.
No washer/dryer prep
Unlike most full-Hemisphere plans, the 314BUD does not offer washer/dryer prep — the second half-bath occupies that space. Noted for shoppers who want in-trailer laundry.
GVWR is derived, not published
Forest River publishes UVW (8,843) and CCC (2,667) but not GVWR; the 11,510-lb figure is UVW + CCC, Forest River’s own definition. Flagged.
Sleeps up to 10
Forest River omits a sleeping count; dealers list the 314BUD at up to 10 across the front bedroom, bunk room, U-dinette and a convertible. The highest figure assumes every convertible is made up as a bed.
Needs a capable tow vehicle
At 8,843 lb dry with a 1,310-lb tongue and an 11,510-lb GVWR, the 314BUD wants a strong half-ton with weight distribution or a three-quarter-ton — confirm against your door-jamb placard.
Selling price, not MSRP
Dealer MSRP placards on this plan run past $70,000 while selling prices cluster around $48,000; the figure shown is dealer-typical and flagged.
05 How it compares
The triple-slide family bunkhouse — a single full bath but three slides, an island and a massive outside kitchen with washer/dryer prep.
The other triple-slide family bunkhouse — a kitchen island and outside kitchen in a similar-length body, lighter on payload.
