01 What makes it unique
The Aurora Light 19RBS leaves Forest River's factory at 5,033 lbs dry, with a published GVWR of 7,033 lbs and 2,000 lbs of cargo capacity between the two. Cargo capacity is 28% of the loaded rating, and Forest River's own definition is worth reading before you plan against it: cargo capacity is what remains for fresh water, gear, food, batteries and every dealer-installed accessory. Fresh water alone is 8.3 lb per gallon, so filling this trailer's 38-gallon fresh tank spends 315 lbs of that 2,000 lbs before anything else is loaded.
Tongue weight is 666 lbs, or 13% of the dry weight. Ten to fifteen percent is the conventional band for a bumper-pull trailer, and this plan sits inside it as published. Tongue weight is not fixed: it moves with how the trailer is loaded, and weight added ahead of the axles raises it. A weight-distribution hitch is the normal fitment at this tongue load, and the tow vehicle's tongue-weight limit is a separate number from its trailer-weight limit.
Tank capacities are 38 gallons fresh, 30 grey and 30 black, 60 gallons of waste capacity against 38 gallons of supply. The ratio is what governs how long the trailer can sit off hookups: waste capacity exceeds fresh, so the fresh tank is the binding constraint and refilling extends the stay. Forest River publishes these three figures per floorplan, and they are the factory's numbers rather than a segment average.
Against the rest of the Aurora Light roster this is the 11th of 15 floorplans by dry weight, in a line that runs from 2,643 lbs to 7,374 lbs. It sits in the heavier third of the line. Comparing floorplans inside one line is more reliable than comparing across brands, because every figure here comes from the same factory channel on the same day.
A useful way to read the pair of weights is to stop planning against the dry figure. Nobody tows a trailer at 5,033 lbs: that is the weight before water, batteries, propane, bedding, food, tools and anything the dealer bolted on. Load half the published cargo capacity, which is modest for a family trip, and this plan is already near 6,033 lbs on the road. Compare that number against the tow vehicle, not the dry weight, and leave margin on top of it - the published GVWR of 7,033 lbs is a limit rather than a target.
Every number above was captured twice from Forest River and checked against itself before it was published. The line listing and the individual floorplan page are two separate factory renderings of the same trailer, and this plan's 4 shared figures agree exactly on both. Dry weight plus cargo capacity also equals the published GVWR exactly, which is the arithmetic check this site runs on every profiled floorplan. Where a figure is missing from this page it is because Forest River does not publish it in this channel, not because it was hard to find - and the row says so rather than being quietly dropped.
Forest River's own description of this floorplan reads: “Rear kitchen layout provides an open floor plan perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. Ample storage and smart design make this model great for long weekends or remote camping trips.” That is the factory's marketing copy rather than a specification, and nothing in it is treated as a verified field on this page - layout descriptions, sleeping arrangements and feature claims in factory copy are not carried into the spec table unless the factory also publishes them as specifications.
How the 19RBS differs from the other fourteen Aurora Light floorplans. Most distinctive first. Each rank counts only the siblings that publish that field, and a figure most of them share is left out. Not every one of these pages covers the same model years as this one (2027); each figure is the one its own page prints, so a rank compares pages, not one model year.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (7,033 lb) and the upper loaded tongue estimate (1,055 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 10–15% of GVWR on the tongue, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433).
03 The Aurora Light floorplan family
Fourteen 2027 Aurora Light floorplans with a full factory record, from 2,643 lb dry at sixteen feet to 7,374 lb dry at thirty-six feet. Tongue weights run 277 to 976 lb and cargo capacities 1,201 to 2,000 lb. Forest River publishes a GVWR for all fourteen, from 4,143 to 8,874 lb, and dry weight plus cargo capacity equals it exactly on every one.

Thirteen of these fourteen 2027 plans were also on the 2026 roster and keep their 2026 pages, each with its 2027 record shown separately. The 19RBS was on the 2026 roster with every figure TBD and is profiled for the first time from its 2027 record. 13REX shows TBD against every figure and is listed on the hub only. Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are not published in this channel.
04 Notes on this floorplan
What Forest River does not publish for this line
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are absent from Forest River's specification channel for Aurora Light, so they are absent here. They are not estimated from the segment, not carried over from a sibling floorplan, and not taken from a dealer listing quoting itself. A tire size in particular is a safety-relevant number that differs between two codes a digit apart, and this site does not guess one.
Weigh it before you tow it
Every figure on this page is a factory publication for a standard build. Forest River's own footnote on unloaded weight calls it an estimated average based on a standard build with optional equipment, and options, dealer-installed accessories and the previous owner's additions all move it. The only weight that governs your towing decision is the one under your own trailer on a scale, loaded the way you actually travel.
05 How it compares
5,018 lbs dry against this plan's 5,033 lbs, a difference of 15 lbs. Same line, same factory channel, same model year - so the gap is a real one rather than a difference in how two brands measure.
5,988 lbs dry, 955 lbs more than this plan, and 1,780 lbs of cargo capacity against this one's 2,000 lbs. Stepping up a floorplan usually buys length before it buys payload.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 38-gallon fresh tank is about 315 lb of water (water counts as cargo: 49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.2), 16% of the 19RBS’s 2,000 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,685 lb. Across 15 Aurora Light floorplans the water share runs 16% to 26%, and 12 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Aurora Light 21BH at 16% and Aurora Light 23BHS at 18%. Your own unit’s figure is on the label inside its entry door (49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.3).
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Aurora Light 22EPIC, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 6 of the 8 fields both publish (this plan first): length 25 ft 6 in vs 25 ft 11 in; dry weight 5,033 lb vs 4,806 lb; GVWR 7,033 lb vs 6,806 lb; hitch weight 666 lb vs 594 lb; grey tank 30 gal vs 44 gal; black tank 30 gal vs 29 gal. They match on cargo capacity and fresh tank.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA files neither recalls nor complaints under the name Aurora Light. That is a filing convention and not a clean record — the roster sits under the parent line, Aurora.
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Aurora line page.
