Terms of use

What the published figures can be relied on for, how the dataset may be reused, and where this site's authority stops.

DATA LICENCE · Reuse with attribution WEIGHTS PUBLISHED · Dry REVIEWED · 28 July 2026

CamperTrailers.com publishes transcribed manufacturer specifications for North American travel trailers and fifth wheels. These are the terms that publication runs on, and the one section that matters more than the rest is section 02, because it concerns weight.

01 What is on offer here

Information, and nothing else. This site sells no vehicles, holds no inventory, brokers no introductions and takes no advertising. Prices shown are manufacturer list figures where a manufacturer published one; they are a reference point rather than an offer, and no page here constitutes an offer to sell anything.

02 Relying on the figures

Confirm against the unit and your door jamb before you tow

Every hitch, tongue and pin figure published here is a dry weight — the manufacturer's number for an empty trailer. Loaded, they run materially higher. Options, dealer-installed equipment and mid-year re-specification all move published weights, and the authoritative figures for a specific trailer are on that trailer's own placard and weight sticker, while the authoritative figure for what your vehicle can pull is on its door jamb. Where anything on this site disagrees with either of those, they are right.

Specifications are transcribed from named manufacturer and dealer-network sources under a published verification standard, and figures that no source publishes are omitted rather than estimated. That standard is strict, and it still cannot make a transcription infallible. Nothing here is a substitute for weighing a loaded trailer, reading its placard, or checking your own vehicle's ratings. No page on this site states what a named tow vehicle can pull, and any figure elsewhere that pairs a trailer weight from here with a vehicle rating is a combination neither source stands behind.

03 Using and republishing the data

The catalog is published as a single machine-readable file at the dataset page under this licence, reproduced here verbatim from the dataset itself:

Licence

Free to use and republish with attribution to CamperTrailers.com. Attribution must carry the qualifiers: hitch and pin figures are DRY, and any record with gvwr_derived true has a GVWR obtained by addition rather than transcription.

The qualifiers are the condition, not a footnote. A dry hitch weight republished without the word dry, or a derived GVWR republished as though it had been transcribed from a factory sheet, is a figure that has been made less true by being copied. If you are pulling data at any scale, take the dataset file rather than scraping the pages — it is the same numbers, structured, with the qualifiers attached as fields, and it does not break when a page template changes.

04 Names and trademarks

Manufacturer, brand and model names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used on this site to identify the products they name. Their use here does not imply affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship or approval by any manufacturer, and none of them reviews or pays for what is published. Where a brand's own published figures disagree with each other, the disagreement is printed rather than tidied away.

05 Accuracy, availability and liability

  • Errors are corrected, not defended. When a published figure is shown to be wrong it is fixed against the source and the correction is recorded on the page. The contact page sets out what makes a correction actionable.
  • The material is provided as it stands. Specifications change without notice, and a page reflects the sources available when it was built. No warranty is given that any figure is current, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
  • Decisions taken on these figures are yours. To the extent the law allows, this site accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on a published specification — which is the ordinary position of a reference work, and the reason section 02 asks you to confirm against the unit.
  • No uptime commitment. Pages are added, rebuilt and occasionally withdrawn. Nothing here is promised to remain available at a given address, though URLs are treated as durable and are not casually retired.

06 Links out

Where this site links to a manufacturer page, brochure or public dataset, that material belongs to whoever published it and is governed by their terms rather than these. A link is a citation of a source, not an endorsement of what else is on the far end of it.

07 Changes

These terms were last reviewed 28 July 2026. Material changes will be dated here rather than applied quietly.
