01 What makes it unique
The Wildwood X-Lite 25RLXL leaves Forest River's factory at 5,363 lbs dry with 2,000 lbs of cargo capacity. Forest River publishes no GVWR for this line, so the loaded rating is not quoted on this page and is not computed from the other two figures. What the cargo number covers is defined by the factory: fresh water, gear, food, batteries and every dealer-installed accessory come out of it. Fresh water is 8.3 lb per gallon, so filling the 40-gallon fresh tank spends 332 lbs of the 2,000 lbs before anything else goes in.
Tongue weight is 565 lbs, or 11% of the dry weight. Ten to fifteen percent is the conventional band for a bumper-pull trailer, and this plan sits inside it as published. Tongue weight is not fixed: it moves with how the trailer is loaded, and weight added ahead of the axles raises it. A weight-distribution hitch is the normal fitment at this tongue load, and the tow vehicle's tongue-weight limit is a separate number from its trailer-weight limit.
Tank capacities are 40 gallons fresh, 60 grey and 30 black, 90 gallons of waste capacity against 40 gallons of supply. The ratio is what governs how long the trailer can sit off hookups: waste capacity exceeds fresh, so the fresh tank is the binding constraint and refilling extends the stay. Forest River publishes these three figures per floorplan, and they are the factory's numbers rather than a segment average.
Against the rest of the Wildwood X-Lite roster this is the 3rd of 10 floorplans by dry weight, in a line that runs from 5,063 lbs to 6,688 lbs. It sits in the lighter third of the line. Comparing floorplans inside one line is more reliable than comparing across brands, because every figure here comes from the same factory channel on the same day.
A useful way to read these figures is to stop planning against the dry weight. Nobody tows a trailer at 5,363 lbs: that is the weight before water, batteries, propane, bedding, food, tools and anything the dealer bolted on. Load half the published cargo capacity and this plan is already near 6,363 lbs on the road. Because Forest River publishes no loaded rating for this line, the ceiling has to come from the trailer's own weight label rather than from this page, and the comparison you make against the tow vehicle should use the loaded figure.
Every number above was captured twice from Forest River and checked against itself before it was published. The line listing and the individual floorplan page are two separate factory renderings of the same trailer, and this plan's 4 shared figures agree exactly on both. There is no published GVWR on this line, so the usual arithmetic check - dry plus cargo equals the rating - has nothing to test against here. Where a figure is missing from this page it is because Forest River does not publish it in this channel, not because it was hard to find - and the row says so rather than being quietly dropped.
Forest River's own description of this floorplan reads: “The 25RLXL is designed around comfort, with a rear living area made for relaxing and a large kitchen counter with plenty of room for morning coffee or dinner prep. Campfire-View Panoramic Picture Windows bring the campsite into your living space, while Never-Ending Hot Water 60K BTU Tankless Water Heater keeps the comforts of home close wherever you travel.” That is the factory's marketing copy rather than a specification, and nothing in it is treated as a verified field on this page - layout descriptions, sleeping arrangements and feature claims in factory copy are not carried into the spec table unless the factory also publishes them as specifications.
How the 25RLXL differs from the other nine Wildwood X-Lite floorplans. Most distinctive first. Each rank counts only the siblings that publish that field, and a figure most of them share is left out. Not every one of these pages covers the same model years as this one (2027); each figure is the one its own page prints, so a rank compares pages, not one model year.

03 The Wildwood X-Lite floorplan family
Four 2027 Wildwood X-Lite floorplans with a full factory record. They run 5,363 to 6,208 lb dry on lengths of 28 feet 8 inches to 33 feet 7 inches, with hitch weights of 565 to 790 lb and cargo capacities of 1,582 to 2,000 lb. Forest River publishes no GVWR for these plans in this channel, so none is shown and none is computed.

Three of these four 2027 plans were also on the 2026 roster and keep their 2026 pages, each with its 2027 record shown separately; 25RLXL is new for 2027. Five further roster entries are listed on the hub without a page. Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are not published in this channel.
04 Notes on this floorplan
What Forest River does not publish for this line
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are absent from Forest River's specification channel for Wildwood X-Lite, so they are absent here. They are not estimated from the segment, not carried over from a sibling floorplan, and not taken from a dealer listing quoting itself. A tire size in particular is a safety-relevant number that differs between two codes a digit apart, and this site does not guess one.
There is no factory GVWR for this trailer
Forest River publishes dry weight, cargo capacity and tongue weight for every Wildwood X-Lite floorplan and publishes no GVWR for any of them. The factory's own glossary defines cargo capacity as GVWR minus UVW, which means the rating can be worked out - and a figure you worked out is not a figure the manufacturer published, so this page does not print one. Use the weight label on the trailer itself, which every Forest River unit carries.
Awning size is not published for this floorplan
Forest River publishes an awning size for some Wildwood X-Lite floorplans and not for this one. The row reads as unpublished rather than being filled from a neighbouring plan in the same roster.
Weigh it before you tow it
Every figure on this page is a factory publication for a standard build. Forest River's own footnote on unloaded weight calls it an estimated average based on a standard build with optional equipment, and options, dealer-installed accessories and the previous owner's additions all move it. The only weight that governs your towing decision is the one under your own trailer on a scale, loaded the way you actually travel.
05 How it compares
5,854 lbs dry, 491 lbs more than this plan, and 1,828 lbs of cargo capacity against this one's 2,000 lbs. Stepping up a floorplan usually buys length before it buys payload.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 40-gallon fresh tank is about 332 lb of water, 17% of the 25RLXL’s 2,000 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,668 lb. Across 10 Wildwood X-Lite floorplans the water share runs 15% to 37%, and 7 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Wildwood X-Lite 240BHXL at 16% and Wildwood X-Lite 263BHXL at 20%.
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Wildwood X-Lite 240BHXL, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 7 of the 7 fields both publish (this plan first): length 28 ft 8 in vs 28 ft 10 in; dry weight 5,363 lb vs 5,343 lb; cargo capacity 2,000 lb vs 2,227 lb; hitch weight 565 lb vs 570 lb; fresh tank 40 gal vs 44 gal; grey tank 60 gal vs 74 gal; black tank 30 gal vs 32 gal.
