01 What makes it unique

The Wildwood X-Lite 26ICE leaves Forest River's factory at 6,288 lbs dry with 1,497 lbs of cargo capacity. Forest River publishes no GVWR for this line, so the loaded rating is not quoted on this page and is not computed from the other two figures. What the cargo number covers is defined by the factory: fresh water, gear, food, batteries and every dealer-installed accessory come out of it. Fresh water is 8.3 lb per gallon, so filling the 39-gallon fresh tank spends 324 lbs of the 1,497 lbs before anything else goes in.

Forest River’s 2026 Wildwood / X-Lite brochure draws the 26ICE with a Versa-Tilt custom king bed with a closet and overhead cabinets at the front. Mid-coach: a hidden pantry, shelves and a wardrobe; a fireplace and TV; a dinette and a Versa-Lounge in a slide; and a kitchen with a microwave, a fridge and overhead cabinets. At the rear: 46-by-74-inch double-over-double bunks and a bath with a shower. It shows one slide-out and a 16-foot awning. Outside it labels an outside fridge and full pass-through storage. Layouts change with options; check the unit itself.

Tongue weight is 785 lbs, 12% of the dry weight as published; it rises as the trailer is loaded and counts against the tow vehicle’s tongue-weight and payload limits (tongue weight by size).

Off hookups: 90 gallons of grey and black capacity against 39 gallons of fresh water, so fresh water runs out first (tank sizes by length).

Against the rest of the Wildwood X-Lite roster this is the 8th of 10 floorplans by dry weight, in a line that runs from 5,063 lbs to 6,688 lbs. It sits in the heavier third of the line.

Plan the tow on loaded weight, not the 6,288 lbs dry figure: half the published cargo capacity brings this plan to about 7,036 lbs. Forest River publishes no loaded rating for this line, so the ceiling is the one on the trailer’s own weight label (how to read trailer weights).

Forest River’s line listing and this floorplan’s own factory page agree on all 4 shared figures. No GVWR is published for this line, so dry plus cargo has no rating to check against. A missing row means Forest River does not publish that figure (how figures are verified).

Forest River publishes no written floorplan description for this plan; the layout described above is read off Forest River’s own floorplan drawing for this model year. 26ICE is a Wildwood X-Lite designation, and this site does not decode the code itself into a layout claim.

How the 26ICE differs from the other nine Wildwood X-Lite floorplans. Most distinctive first. Sibling pages may cover other model years than this one (2026). How these ranks are worked out.

Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are not published in this channel.

04 Notes on this floorplan

What Forest River does not publish for this line

Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are not in Forest River’s specification channel for Wildwood X-Lite, so this page does not publish them and does not estimate them (how figures are verified).

There is no factory GVWR for this trailer

Forest River publishes dry weight, cargo capacity and tongue weight for every Wildwood X-Lite floorplan and publishes no GVWR for any of them. The factory's own glossary defines cargo capacity as GVWR minus UVW, which means the rating can be worked out - and a figure you worked out is not a figure the manufacturer published, so this page does not print one. Use the weight label on the trailer itself, which every Forest River unit carries.

Weigh it before you tow it

Forest River calls its unloaded weight an estimated average for a standard build, and options and dealer add-ons change it, so weigh your own trailer loaded the way you travel (how figures are verified).
