Camper Trailer Weights by Brand: Dry Weight, GVWR and Weight per Foot
How much travel trailers and fifth wheels weigh, brand by brand, from the figures each maker publishes, and what changes once length is taken out.
Short answer. Across 1,221 travel trailers from 11 brands that publish a dry weight (n=1,221), the median is 6,093 lb, or 203 lb per foot of length. Brand medians run from 5,802 lb (Heartland) to 7,099 lb (Alliance RV), and part of that gap is length: per foot, the spread narrows to 184–222 lb. Keystone prints no dry weight or GVWR on the pages this site reads, so it has no weight median here. A brand median describes the lines this site profiles, not the maker’s whole range.

Brands with at least 5 travel-trailer floorplans here. A median is shown when at least 5 floorplans publish the figure (n shown); “Not published” means none does. The dry range links the lightest and heaviest floorplan. GVWR medians leave out GVWRs a page computed rather than transcribed. Hitch is the maker’s published tongue weight. Airstream’s weight is its “unit base weight” with LP and batteries, not a dry weight, so it reads slightly high against the others. These are each page’s headline records; the Airstream chart shows Airstream’s 2027 figures wherever Airstream publishes them.
Weight per foot: comparing brands of different sizes
Median of published dry weight divided by published overall length, travel trailers, lb per foot. Computed here from two published figures per floorplan; no maker publishes it.
A brand whose lines run long will have a heavy median even if its trailers are built light, so the table below sets each brand’s median length and its share of short trailers beside its weight per foot. Across every travel trailer here the median is 203 lb per foot (n=1,200).

What a brand median does and does not tell you
It describes the lines here, not the brand. This site profiles the lines listed below, chosen by search demand, and a brand’s median moves when a line is added. It says nothing about build quality or how a trailer holds up.
Line mix drives it. A brand whose lines here include toy haulers or destination trailers carries heavier medians than one profiled mostly through lightweight lines. The weight-per-foot column narrows that, and each floorplan page carries its own figures.
Not every maker publishes every number. GVWR, cargo capacity and hitch weight are missing for some brands on the pages this site reads; what each trailer maker publishes counts it brand by brand. A missing figure is never filled here.
Dry weight is not towing weight. Plan a tow against GVWR and your vehicle’s own ratings; tow match does that, and the weight chart shows how weight rises with length.
