01 What Ahara is
Ahara is East to West's full-size fifth wheel, and it is a truck decision before it is a floorplan decision. Nine floorplans run 11,759 to 15,794 lb dry across 34ft 5in to 44ft 1in of exterior length, and the pin loads run 2,310 to 3,220 lb on the seven profiled plans. Pin weight is the number to read first, because unlike a tongue load it sits directly on the tow vehicle's payload rating rather than being partly carried by the trailer's own axles -- and 3,220 lb of pin will exhaust the payload of many three-quarter-ton trucks before any passengers or gear are added. Cargo capacity runs 2,731 to 4,401 lb. Two further plans are sold dealer stock only and are catalogued rather than profiled.

There is one thing to know before comparing Ahara against anything else: East to West publishes no GVWR for this line. Dry weight, cargo capacity and dry pin weight are published for every floorplan; the loaded rating is not. The factory's own glossary defines cargo capacity as GVWR minus unloaded weight, so the rating can be worked out - and a figure worked out is not a figure the manufacturer published, so this site does not print one as though it were. The weight label on the trailer itself carries the real number.

04 How to choose
Sort this line by the constraint you actually have. If the truck is fixed, start at the weight column: the lightest plan in the roster is the 325RL - DSO at 11,759 lbs dry and the heaviest is the 395FB at 15,794 lbs, and that spread is wide enough that the two ends are not the same buying decision. If the truck is not fixed, sort by cargo capacity instead - the 380FL carries the most at 4,401 lbs, and payload is the number that runs out first on a long trip.
Do not sort by floorplan number. East to West's codes encode length loosely and layout not at all, and this site does not decode them into layout claims. Two plans with adjacent numbers in this roster can differ by hundreds of pounds of dry weight and by more than that in dry pin weight, which is the figure that determines what the truck has to be.
Where East to West publishes a floorplan description it is quoted on the plan page and identified as factory marketing copy rather than a specification. Where it publishes none, the plan page says so instead of describing a layout that nobody has verified. That is the difference between a catalogue and a brochure.

Ahara is published by East to West across nine floorplans for 2026: seven under an Ahara Fifth Wheels grouping and two more as dealer stock only. East to West publishes dry weight, cargo capacity, pin weight, all three exterior dimensions and all three tank capacities for every plan. It publishes no GVWR for any of the nine, so the loaded rating reads not published and is never computed from dry weight plus cargo capacity. The two dealer-stock-only plans, 325RL and 378BH-OK, carry published weights and are listed with them, but they are grouped by stock status rather than by body type, so nothing about their configuration is inferred here. East to West is a Forest River company, and Ahara is not a Forest River-badged trailer.
Five fields East to West does not publish, and GVWR is one of them
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size, MSRP and GVWR are all absent from East to West's specification channel for Ahara. The GVWR absence is the unusual one and it is not an omission on this page: the factory spec block runs pin weight, unloaded weight, cargo capacity, dimensions and tanks, and stops. Any GVWR you see quoted for a Ahara came from somewhere other than East to West's own channel.
Match the truck honestly
The plans here run from 11,759 lbs to 15,794 lbs dry with dry pin weights of 2,185 lbs to 3,220 lbs. Dry weight is not towing weight - water, batteries, propane, gear and dealer-installed accessories all sit on top of it, and pin weight rises with them. For a fifth wheel the pin load comes off the truck's payload rating rather than its towing rating, which is the number most often quoted and the wrong one. Read your own door sticker, and weigh the trailer loaded the way you actually travel.
