01 What makes it unique
The Ahara 380FL leaves East to West's factory at 14,819 lbs dry with 4,401 lbs of cargo capacity. East to West publishes no GVWR for this line, so the loaded rating is not quoted on this page and is not computed from the other two figures. What the cargo number covers is defined by the factory: fresh water, gear, food, batteries and every dealer-installed accessory come out of it. Fresh water is 8.3 lb per gallon, so filling the 64-gallon fresh tank spends 531 lbs of the 4,401 lbs before anything else goes in.
Pin weight is 3,220 lbs, 22% of the dry weight as published; it rises as the trailer is loaded and comes off the truck’s payload, not its towing rating, so check it against the payload on your own door sticker (pin weight and payload).
Off hookups: 176 gallons of grey and black capacity against 64 gallons of fresh water, so fresh water runs out first (tank sizes by length).
Against the rest of the Ahara roster this is the 5th of 8 floorplans by dry weight, in a line that runs from 12,064 lbs to 15,794 lbs. It sits in the middle of the line by weight.
Plan the tow on loaded weight, not the 14,819 lbs dry figure: half the published cargo capacity brings this plan to about 17,019 lbs. East to West publishes no loaded rating for this line, so the ceiling is the one on the trailer’s own weight label (how to read trailer weights).
East to West’s line listing and this floorplan’s own factory page agree on all 4 shared figures. No GVWR is published for this line, so dry plus cargo has no rating to check against. A missing row means East to West does not publish that figure (how figures are verified).
East to West publishes no floorplan description for this plan in the channel this page is built from - only the numeric specification block. Rather than describe a layout from the floorplan code, which would be a guess dressed as a fact, this page carries what the factory publishes and says where it stops. 380FL is a Ahara designation and this site does not decode it into a layout claim.
How the 380FL differs from the other seven Ahara floorplans. Most distinctive first. Sibling pages may cover other model years than this one (2026). How these ranks are worked out.
- Cargo capacity, 4,401 lb: largest of eight; next is the 382LK (3,996 lb).
- Pin weight, 3,220 lb: heaviest of eight; next is the 390DS (3,115 lb).
- Pin weight as a share of dry weight, 21.7%: largest of eight; next is the 390DS (19.9%).
- Dry weight, 14,819 lb: fourth-heaviest of eight, between the 382LK (14,654 lb) and the 385DS (15,009 lb).
- Length, 41 ft 3 in: fourth-shortest of eight, between the 382LK (40 ft 7 in) and the 383UR (41 ft 4 in).
- Exterior height, 13 ft 5 in: tallest of eight, level with the 385DS; next are the 382LK and 390DS (13 ft 4 in).
- Grey tank, 88 gal: smallest of eight, level with the 297MK, 365RL and 382LK; next are the 383UR, 385DS and two others (132 gal).
- Black tank, 88 gal: largest of eight, level with the 385DS, 390DS and 395FB; next are the 297MK, 365RL and two others (44 gal).
Next to the 382LK (2027 page), the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 380FL is 165 lb heavier by dry weight, has 405 lb more cargo capacity, has a pin weight 570 lb heavier, is 8 in longer, stands 1 in taller and has a black tank 44 gal larger; the two publish the same fresh tank and grey tank.
Next to the 385DS, the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 380FL is 190 lb lighter by dry weight, has 590 lb more cargo capacity, has a pin weight 400 lb heavier, is 2 ft 6 in shorter and has a grey tank 44 gal smaller; the two publish the same exterior height, fresh tank and black tank.

The 2027 model year, as East to West lists it
East to West’s own floorplan page lists the 2027 Ahara 380FL with the figures below (read 23 Oct 2026). They are that year’s record. The specifications above are the 2026 record; the two are not merged, and neither fills a gap in the other. Against the 2026 record above, these figures differ: hitch weight 3,220 lb in 2026, 3,065 lb in 2027; unloaded vehicle weight 14,819 lb in 2026, 15,089 lb in 2027; cargo carrying capacity 4,401 lb in 2026, 3,976 lb in 2027; length 41' 3" in 2026, 41' 6" in 2027; height 13' 5" in 2026, 13' 3" in 2027. East to West publishes no GVWR for this floorplan, so none is shown and none is computed.

03 The Ahara floorplan family
Ahara is East to West's full-size fifth wheel, and it is a truck decision before it is a floorplan decision. Nine floorplans run 11,759 to 15,794 lb dry across 34ft 5in to 44ft 1in of exterior length, and the pin loads run 2,310 to 3,220 lb on the seven profiled plans. Pin weight is the number to read first, because unlike a tongue load it sits directly on the tow vehicle's payload rating rather than being partly carried by the trailer's own axles -- and 3,220 lb of pin comes off that payload before any passengers or gear are added. Cargo capacity runs 2,731 to 4,401 lb. Two further plans are sold dealer stock only and are catalogued rather than profiled.
| Floorplan | Nominal | Dry weight (lb) | Cargo, CCC (lb) | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 325RL - DSO | 34' 9" | 11,759 | 3,741 | Dealer stock only |
| 297MK | 34' 5" | 12,064 | 3,746 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
| 365RL | 36' 11" | 12,994 | 3,321 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
| 383UR | 41' 4" | 13,939 | 2,731 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
| 380FL | 41' 3" | 14,819 | 4,401 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
| 378BH-OK - DSO | 41' 1" | 14,844 | 3,931 | Dealer stock only |
| 385DS | 43' 9" | 15,009 | 3,811 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
| 390DS | 42' 10" | 15,664 | 3,451 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
| 395FB | 44' 1" | 15,794 | 3,016 | Ahara Fifth Wheels |
Ahara is published by East to West across nine floorplans for 2026: seven under an Ahara Fifth Wheels grouping and two more as dealer stock only. East to West publishes dry weight, cargo capacity, pin weight, all three exterior dimensions and all three tank capacities for every plan. It publishes no GVWR for any of the nine, so the loaded rating reads not published and is never computed from dry weight plus cargo capacity. The two dealer-stock-only plans, 325RL and 378BH-OK, carry published weights and are listed with them, but they are grouped by stock status rather than by body type, so nothing about their configuration is inferred here. East to West is a Forest River company, and Ahara is not a Forest River-badged trailer.
04 Notes on this floorplan
What East to West does not publish for this line
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are absent from East to West's specification channel for Ahara, so they are absent here. They are not estimated from the segment, not carried over from a sibling floorplan, and not taken from a dealer listing quoting itself. A tire size in particular is a safety-relevant number that differs between two codes a digit apart, and this site does not guess one.
There is no factory GVWR for this trailer
East to West publishes dry weight, cargo capacity and pin weight for every Ahara floorplan and publishes no GVWR for any of them. The factory's own glossary defines cargo capacity as GVWR minus UVW, which means the rating can be worked out - and a figure you worked out is not a figure the manufacturer published, so this page does not print one. Use the weight label on the trailer itself, which every East to West unit carries.
Weigh it before you tow it
East to West calls its unloaded weight an estimated average for a standard build, and options and dealer add-ons change it, so weigh your own trailer loaded the way you travel (how figures are verified).
05 How it compares
13,939 lbs dry against this plan's 14,819 lbs, a difference of 880 lbs.
15,009 lbs dry, 190 lbs more than this plan, and 3,811 lbs of cargo capacity against this one's 4,401 lbs.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 64-gallon fresh tank is about 531 lb of water, 12% of the 380FL’s 4,401 lb cargo capacity, leaving 3,870 lb. Across 8 Ahara floorplans the water share runs 12% to 19%, and this plan’s is the lowest. Nearest on that share: Ahara 382LK at 13%.
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Ahara 385DS, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 5 of the 7 fields both publish (this plan first): length 41 ft 3 in vs 43 ft 9 in; dry weight 14,819 lb vs 15,009 lb; cargo capacity 4,401 lb vs 3,811 lb; hitch weight 3,220 lb vs 2,820 lb; grey tank 88 gal vs 132 gal. They match on fresh tank and black tank.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 2 recall campaigns and 1 owner complaint (model years 2005 on) against the Ahara line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
Too few reports to show a pattern. 1 complaint has been filed on this line — not enough to say what fails most often. It covers fuel/propulsion system.
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Ahara line page.
