01 What makes it unique

The ML206 is the entry point to Alliance’s main Delta travel-trailer line and its lightest plan: a compact 23-foot-11 couples trailer on a single slide-out, sleeping two, at 5,040 pounds dry. It is the Delta for a couple who wants the line’s equipment set in the smallest, most tow-friendly body — light enough for a properly rated half-ton pickup or a capable mid-size SUV, and the only main-line Delta with a single 15,000-BTU air conditioner rather than the dual-A/C setup of the bigger plans.

Every Delta rides a bumper-pull tandem-axle chassis with a walk-on seamless PVC roof, a double-insulated front wall, a heated and enclosed underbelly, 62 cubic feet of drop-frame pass-through storage, Goodyear Endurance tires with Counteract beads on aluminum rims with a spare, a MorRyde Step Above entry, electric auto-leveling, a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator and a 400-watt solar package with a 30-amp MPPT controller and 3,000-watt inverter prep on 50-amp service. Alliance publishes a 7,450-pound GVWR against the 5,040-pound dry weight, leaving a 2,410-pound cargo capacity — the biggest margin in the profiled main line — on a 580-pound tongue, with 45-gallon fresh, grey and black tanks. At a starting MSRP around $45,000, with street pricing below placard, the ML206 is the lightest, most affordable way into the Delta line for a couple towing with a half-ton or capable SUV.

Overall length and height are drawn true to scale from the published figures, no exterior width is published for this plan, so no end view is drawn. Axle count is as published; axle position, wheel size and the nose profile are schematic. This is a size drawing, not a floorplan, and not a claim about body shape.

Holding tanks

Published tank capacities on one scale. A full fresh tank is about 375 lbs of water — roughly 16% of this plan’s 2,410 lb cargo capacity, before you load anything else.

These graphics are generated from the same verified record that builds the table above, and are published under this site’s own licence — nothing here is traced from, or derived from, a manufacturer drawing or photo. Where a figure is not published for this plan, the graphic that would need it is omitted rather than estimated. The full record is in the published dataset.

What it takes to tow this

Built from this floorplan’s verified weights. We publish the trailer side only.

Minimum tow rating your vehicle needs7,450 lb
Published dry tongue weight580 lb
Loaded tongue weight, typical range745–1,118 lb
Minimum receiver hitch capacity7,450 lb towed / 1,118 lb tongue
The tongue weight above is dry. It is the figure the manufacturer publishes for an empty trailer. Loaded — with water, propane, batteries and your gear — it runs higher, which is why the range row uses loaded weight. Sizing your truck off the dry number under-budgets your payload.
The arithmetic that actually binds. Open your driver’s door and read the payload figure on the yellow-and-white sticker — that number is specific to your truck as built. Subtract from it: loaded tongue weight (use the range above), every passenger, everything in the bed and cab, and the weight-distributing hitch itself where one is used. What is left is your margin. Payload, not tow rating, is what most half-ton owners run out of first.

We do not publish tow ratings for specific trucks. A single model can vary by thousands of pounds depending on engine, axle ratio, cab, drivetrain and package — the only authoritative figure is the one on your own door jamb. Loaded tongue percentages are industry convention for travel trailers (10–15% of loaded weight), not a measurement of this unit. Hitch classes are not used here as a rating: SAE J684 covers trailers to 10,000 lb GVWR and does not define Class V, and capacity boundaries differ between manufacturers — read the rating stamped on your hitch.

03 The Delta floorplan family

Delta is Alliance RV's travel-trailer line — half-ton-friendly bumper-pull towables and a cross-shop against Grand Design's Imagine, Jayco's Jay Flight SLX, Forest River's Salem / Wildwood and Keystone's Passport. Seven floorplans are profiled in full and linked below; the remaining plans, including the new single-axle Delta Solo sub-line, are catalogued and shown muted. The ML206 on this page is highlighted.

Delta is Alliance RV's travel-trailer line — the maker's move into lighter, half-ton-friendly bumper-pull towables, launched in July 2023, alongside a lighter Delta Ultra Lite and a new-for-2026 single-axle Delta Solo sub-line. The 2026 range runs to fifteen plans filed by RVUSA as Delta plus the Solo plans; seven floorplans are profiled here in full and the remaining plans are catalogued from published specifications below. Every Delta rides a bumper-pull tandem-axle chassis with a walk-on seamless PVC roof, a double-insulated front wall, a heated and enclosed underbelly with 12-volt tank heaters, 62 cubic feet of drop-frame pass-through storage, Goodyear Endurance tires with Counteract balancing beads on aluminum rims with a spare, a MorRyde Step Above entry, electric auto-leveling, a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator and a 400-watt solar package with a 30-amp MPPT controller and 3,000-watt inverter prep on 50-amp service. Tongue weight, GVWR, dry weight and CCC are published per plan and each plan's dry weight plus CCC equals its GVWR exactly. Dry weight is a factory estimate; real loaded tongue weights run higher — always weigh the loaded trailer and confirm against your vehicle's tow rating and payload.

04 What owners & reviewers report

Lightest, cheapest main Delta

At 5,040 pounds dry, a 580-pound tongue and a starting MSRP around $45,000, it is the most tow-friendly and affordable plan in the main line.

Couples layout, single slide

A compact single-slide plan sleeping two — the Delta for a couple who wants a small, easy-towing trailer.

Biggest cargo margin in the profiled main line

Its 2,410-pound CCC is the largest of the profiled main-line plans — real room for gear and water.

Verify the tow vehicle honestly

Even at 5,040 pounds dry, confirm your half-ton or SUV’s tow rating, payload and hitch class against the loaded weight, not the brochure figure.

06 Loading it for a trip

This floorplan carries its water comfortably. A full 45-gallon fresh tank is roughly 16% of the 2,410-pound cargo capacity, leaving the ML206 with a usable gear budget even when you tow full.

Weight budgetFigureWhat it means
Cargo capacity as published (CCC)2,410 lbEverything you add: gear, water, propane, batteries, food, people’s belongings.
Fresh tank filled (45 gal × 8.34 lb)−375 lbWater is the heaviest thing most owners add, and it is added first.
Cargo budget left with a full fresh tank2,035 lb16% of this plan’s capacity is spent before a single bag is loaded.
Per sleeping position, water aboard1,017 lbA rough share of what is left across the 2 berths this plan sleeps.

The published dry tongue weight of 580 pounds is 12% of the 5,040-pound dry weight, which sits inside the 10–15% band usually quoted for stable towing. It is still a dry figure: loading the front pass-through and the fresh tank both push it up.

Nothing above changes the ceiling. Loaded to its 7,450-pound GVWR the ML206 is towing 2,410 pounds more than its 5,040-pound dry figure, and that is the number your vehicle has to be rated for — not the brochure weight.

Tank balance is generous here: 45 gallons of fresh against 45 grey and 45 black, so waste capacity keeps pace with supply and the fresh tank is the constraint that ends a dry stay.

07 Where this floorplan sits

Ranked by GVWR, the ML206 sits 2 of 7 in the Delta line: 7,450 pounds against a line that runs from 5,650 to 10,450 pounds. That position is the useful thing to know, because the plans immediately either side of it are the real alternatives.

Either side of it in the same line: Delta BH181 is 1,800 pounds lighter at 5,650 lb GVWR; and Delta 262RB is 800 pounds heavier at 8,250 lb GVWR.

Against the ML206: the Viking 26BH is 5 ft longer; the Hideout 24RBS is 15 lb heavier and 5 ft longer and sleeps 4 more; the Passport 2080MK is 35 lb heavier and 1 ft longer and sleeps 2 more. Those are differences in the published numbers only — what they cost, how they are built and how they live are separate questions each of those pages answers on its own terms.

Those are the nearest travel trailers from other lines by weight — one per line, picked by proximity on that figure and nothing else. They are listed so the same tow vehicle can be checked against real alternatives, not because they are equivalent inside; layout, build and price diverge sharply across that group.

For scale, the Delta floorplans profiled here run 4,689 to 8,330 pounds dry and 23 to 37 feet of exterior length across 7 plans. Where a floorplan falls in that spread usually says more about which vehicle can tow it, and which site it fits, than the layout name does.

Every profiled floorplan in this line, with the full weight table, is on the Delta line hub.

08 Common questions about the ML206

How much does the ML206 weigh?

It leaves the factory at 5,040 pounds dry, and its manufacturer-set loaded ceiling (GVWR) is 7,450 pounds. Real towing weight lands between the two and depends entirely on what you load. Use the GVWR when matching a tow vehicle; the dry figure is only useful for comparing floorplans against each other.

How much can the ML206 carry?

Cargo carrying capacity is 2,410 pounds. That is the whole budget: water, propane, batteries, gear and everything you bring. Filling the 45-gallon fresh tank uses about 375 pounds of that.

What is the tongue weight of the ML206?

The published dry tongue weight is 580 pounds. It is measured empty; loaded, it runs higher, and it comes out of your tow vehicle’s payload rather than its tow rating.

What size tow vehicle does the ML206 need?

Your vehicle needs a tow rating of at least 7,450 pounds — this floorplan’s GVWR — and enough payload left over for the hitch load, passengers and anything in the bed. This site does not publish tow ratings for specific vehicles, because one truck model varies by thousands of pounds across engine, axle ratio, cab and package. The figure that governs is the payload sticker on your own door jamb.

How many people does the ML206 sleep?

It is rated to sleep 2. Rated sleeping positions include convertible furniture, so count the beds against how you actually travel rather than against the number.

What are the tank capacities on the ML206?

Fresh 45 gallons, grey 45 gallons, black 45 gallons. Tank sizes set how long the floorplan can sit away from hookups, and the smallest of the three is what ends the stay.

How long is the ML206?

Exterior length is 23' 11". Measure against your site length and your storage before committing — the exterior figure is the one that has to fit, and it includes the tongue or pin box.

Every figure in these answers is read from this page’s verified specification table. Where the manufacturer publishes nothing, the question is not answered rather than estimated.

09 What this page publishes, and what it does not

This catalog tracks 18 specification fields per floorplan. Named sources publish 16 of them for the ML206. The rest are not shown, because the alternative is reading a figure across from a sibling floorplan or from what the segment usually does — and a number nobody published is worth less than an admitted gap.

Not published for this floorplan: exterior width, interior height, tire size (a tire description is published, a size is not). If you find one of these in a manufacturer document for this plan, it belongs on this page.

The completeness figure at the foot of this page (92%) measures the same thing on the full field set: it is a measurement of how much this floorplan’s manufacturer publishes, not of how much research went into the page.

How every figure here was sourced and checked is set out on the methodology page.

11 NHTSA safety record

This floorplan belongs to the Delta line, and NHTSA holds 2 owner complaints against that line. They are separate records and are not added together — a recall is a manufacturer-confirmed defect with a remedy; a complaint is one owner’s account, which NHTSA does not verify.

NHTSA holds no recall campaign against this line, and that is an answer rather than a gap: every query we put to NHTSA for it returned an explicit zero, not an error. A campaign can still be filed under a parent name, so check the VIN of the specific trailer.

Too few reports to show a pattern. 2 complaints have been filed on this line — not enough to say what fails most often. They cover equipment and unknown or other.

Recall coverage is not complete — our harvest of NHTSA’s recall API ran 1,556 queries, of which 0 failed and 242 returned an explicit zero. A line can still be under-reported where NHTSA files a roster under a parent name, or where a match rests on the wording of the recall rather than its model field. Complaints come from the complete bulk file but are unverified and self-selected: a high count tracks how many units a line sold at least as much as how well it was built. Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Delta line page.
