01 What Roamer Light Duty is
Roamer Light Duty is Highland Ridge's half-ton fifth-wheel roster, and for 2026 it is not a single body type: Highland Ridge files four of its seven floorplans as fifth wheels and three as travel trailers. Five reach a full profile here, 7,075 lb to 8,790 lb dry across 29 to 34 feet. The hitch figures separate the two halves cleanly, 1,430 to 1,644 lb of pin weight against 850 lb of tongue weight, and each plan's page states which it is rather than inheriting the line name. Dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published GVWR exactly on all five.
Across the whole Roamer Light Duty roster the published dry weights run from 7,075 lbs to 9,820 lbs, cargo capacities from 1,470 lbs to 2,325 lbs, and dry pin weights from 850 lbs to 1,644 lbs. Exterior lengths run 29 to 38 feet. Those are Highland Ridge's figures for a standard build, captured from the factory roster block and confirmed against each floorplan's own factory page.
Highland Ridge publishes a GVWR for 7 of the 7 floorplans, and on 7 of those the arithmetic ties out exactly: dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published rating to the pound. That check is run on every plan before it is profiled here, and a plan that fails it is catalogued with the disagreement printed rather than quietly corrected.
02 Floorplans profiled in depth
5 of the 7 Roamer Light Duty floorplans are profiled in full below, each on its own page with the complete factory weight, dimension and tank block. The profiled set is spread across the weight range rather than taken from one end of it, so the lightest and heaviest plans in the line are both represented. Every plan profiled here publishes a full field set and, where Highland Ridge publishes a GVWR, passes the dry-plus-cargo arithmetic check.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | Length | Cargo | Pin wt | GVWR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 27RBOS | 7,075 | 30' 1" | 2,325 | 850 | 9,400 |
| 274BHS | 7,635 | 30' 6" | 1,865 | 1,430 | 9,500 |
| 24MLDS | 7,975 | 29' 3" | 1,525 | 1,495 | 9,500 |
| 28DBSS | 8,525 | 34' 6" | 1,470 | 1,630 | 9,995 |
| 304BHS | 8,790 | 33' 7" | 1,810 | 1,644 | 10,600 |
Every figure in this table is a Highland Ridge factory publication for 2026, captured twice - from the line roster block and from each floorplan's own factory page - and cross-checked field by field. Highland Ridge publishes no sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size or MSRP for this line, so there are no columns for them.
03 Also in the 2026 line
The remaining 2 Roamer Light Duty floorplans are catalogued here from the factory's published figures. A plan is catalogued rather than profiled when the factory has not yet published its full field set, when its own published figures disagree with each other, or simply because the profiled set is capped. Nothing in this table is estimated.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | GVWR | Cargo | Pin wt | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 29RLTS | 8,335 | 10,200 | 1,865 | 1,010 | Published figures disagree |
| 31TBTS | 9,820 | 11,995 | 2,175 | 1,230 | Published figures disagree |
Catalogued plans carry the factory figures Highland Ridge publishes and nothing else. A row reading “Not published” means the factory does not publish that field for that plan - it is never a placeholder for a figure this site could not be bothered to find.
04 How to choose
Sort this line by the constraint you actually have. If the truck is fixed, start at the weight column: the lightest plan in the roster is the 27RBOS at 7,075 lbs dry and the heaviest is the 31TBTS at 9,820 lbs, and that spread is wide enough that the two ends are not the same buying decision. If the truck is not fixed, sort by cargo capacity instead - the 27RBOS carries the most at 2,325 lbs, and payload is the number that runs out first on a long trip.
Do not sort by floorplan number. Highland Ridge's codes encode length loosely and layout not at all, and this site does not decode them into layout claims. Two plans with adjacent numbers in this roster can differ by hundreds of pounds of dry weight and by more than that in dry pin weight, which is the figure that determines what the truck has to be.
Where Highland Ridge publishes a floorplan description it is quoted on the plan page and identified as factory marketing copy rather than a specification. Where it publishes none, the plan page says so instead of describing a layout that nobody has verified. That is the difference between a catalogue and a brochure.
05 What to weigh before buying
What this line is
Two floorplans in the 2026 Roamer Light Duty roster, 29RLTS and 31TBTS, moved to Highland Ridge's Roamer Travel Trailer roster for 2027 and are catalogued there. They are named here without a page, because one trailer does not get two pages on this site.
The four fields Highland Ridge does not publish
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are absent from Highland Ridge's specification channel for Roamer Light Duty. They are absent from this site too. None of the four is estimated from the segment, inferred from a sibling floorplan or lifted from a dealer listing quoting its own guess back. Tire size matters most of the four: two codes a digit apart are different tires with different load ratings, and a misread is a safety claim.
Match the truck honestly
The plans here run from 7,075 lbs to 9,820 lbs dry with dry pin weights of 850 lbs to 1,644 lbs. Dry weight is not towing weight - water, batteries, propane, gear and dealer-installed accessories all sit on top of it, and pin weight rises with them. For a fifth wheel the pin load comes off the truck's payload rating rather than its towing rating, which is the number most often quoted and the wrong one. Read your own door sticker, and weigh the trailer loaded the way you actually travel.

Roamer — factory roster, MY2026
Roamer is Highland Ridge's full fifth-wheel roster and is catalogued under this hub rather than on one of its own: it publishes four floorplans in its best model year, below the five-plan floor this catalogue applies before it builds a hub. These are the heaviest trailers on the Roamer hub, and the dry pin weights below are the figure that decides the truck.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | Length | Cargo | Pin wt | GVWR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 27RKSS | 8,555 | 32' 9" | 1,845 | 1,665 | 10,400 |
| 264RLS | 9,735 | 32' 8" | 2,065 | 1,790 | 11,800 |
| 32RLTS | 11,050 | 36' 7" | 2,150 | 2,120 | 13,200 |
| 35MRQS | 13,125 | 42' 1" | 2,275 | 2,535 | 15,400 |
4 floorplans, every figure read from Highland Ridge's own per-plan factory pages. Dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published GVWR exactly on all 4.
Roamer Travel Trailer — factory roster, MY2027
Roamer Travel Trailer is a BUMPER-PULL roster on a hub whose other two rosters are fifth wheels, and it is a model year ahead of them: these figures are MY2027 where the rest of this hub is MY2026. The hitch figures below are tongue weights, not pin weights. Two of the three, 29RLTS and 31TBTS, were published inside the 2026 Roamer Light Duty roster and moved here for 2027.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | Length | Cargo | Tongue wt | GVWR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 27FKDS | 8,110 | 31' 7" | 1,690 | 1,205 | 9,800 |
| 29RLTS | 9,485 | 37' 11" | 2,215 | 1,205 | 11,700 |
| 31TBTS | 9,745 | 38' 8" | 2,250 | 1,070 | 11,995 |
3 floorplans, every figure read from Highland Ridge's own per-plan factory pages. Dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published GVWR exactly on all 3.
