01 What Range Lite is
Range Lite is Highland Ridge's half-ton travel-trailer line and the longest-running roster the manufacturer publishes, live in every model year from 2023 to 2027. Eight floorplans reach a full profile for 2026, from 4,935 lb dry on a 23-foot 4-inch tandem to 6,960 lb on a 33-foot 2-inch, with dry tongue weights of 605 to 845 lb. That is a narrow band by travel-trailer standards and it is the point of the line: every plan is aimed at the same tow vehicle. Dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published GVWR exactly on all eight.
Across the whole Range Lite roster the published dry weights run from 2,560 lbs to 6,960 lbs, cargo capacities from 940 lbs to 1,890 lbs, and dry tongue weights from 220 lbs to 845 lbs. Exterior lengths run 17 to 33 feet. Those are Highland Ridge's figures for a standard build, captured from the factory roster block and confirmed against each floorplan's own factory page.
Highland Ridge publishes a GVWR for 9 of the 9 floorplans, and on 9 of those the arithmetic ties out exactly: dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published rating to the pound. That check is run on every plan before it is profiled here, and a plan that fails it is catalogued with the disagreement printed rather than quietly corrected.
02 Floorplans profiled in depth
8 of the 9 Range Lite floorplans are profiled in full below, each on its own page with the complete factory weight, dimension and tank block. The profiled set is spread across the weight range rather than taken from one end of it, so the lightest and heaviest plans in the line are both represented. Every plan profiled here publishes a full field set and, where Highland Ridge publishes a GVWR, passes the dry-plus-cargo arithmetic check.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | Length | Cargo | Tongue wt | GVWR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 200MLM | 4,935 | 23' 4" | 1,465 | 605 | 6,400 |
| 211RKM | 5,130 | 25' 5" | 1,370 | 610 | 6,500 |
| 220DBM | 5,550 | 26' 8" | 1,445 | 655 | 6,995 |
| 230MKD | 5,725 | 28' 7" | 1,675 | 660 | 7,400 |
| 250RBL | 5,915 | 30' 1" | 1,585 | 715 | 7,500 |
| 260RLL | 6,095 | 31' 4" | 1,505 | 615 | 7,600 |
| 270DBL | 6,550 | 32' 3" | 1,650 | 845 | 8,200 |
| 280MKI | 6,960 | 33' 2" | 1,890 | 720 | 8,850 |
Every figure in this table is a Highland Ridge factory publication for 2026, captured twice - from the line roster block and from each floorplan's own factory page - and cross-checked field by field. Highland Ridge publishes no sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size or MSRP for this line, so there are no columns for them.
03 Also in the 2026 line
The remaining 1 Range Lite floorplan is catalogued here from the factory's published figures. A plan is catalogued rather than profiled when the factory has not yet published its full field set, when its own published figures disagree with each other, or simply because the profiled set is capped. Nothing in this table is estimated.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | GVWR | Cargo | Tongue wt | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14LW | 2,560 | 3,500 | 940 | 220 | Published figures disagree |
Catalogued plans carry the factory figures Highland Ridge publishes and nothing else. A row reading “Not published” means the factory does not publish that field for that plan - it is never a placeholder for a figure this site could not be bothered to find.
04 How to choose
Sort this line by the constraint you actually have. If the tow vehicle is fixed, start at the weight column: the lightest plan in the roster is the 14LW at 2,560 lbs dry and the heaviest is the 280MKI at 6,960 lbs, and that spread is wide enough that the two ends are not the same buying decision. If the tow vehicle is not fixed, sort by cargo capacity instead - the 280MKI carries the most at 1,890 lbs, and payload is the number that runs out first on a long trip.
Do not sort by floorplan number. Highland Ridge's codes encode length loosely and layout not at all, and this site does not decode them into layout claims. Two plans with adjacent numbers in this roster can differ by hundreds of pounds of dry weight and by more than that in dry tongue weight, which is the figure that determines what the tow vehicle has to be.
Where Highland Ridge publishes a floorplan description it is quoted on the plan page and identified as factory marketing copy rather than a specification. Where it publishes none, the plan page says so instead of describing a layout that nobody has verified. That is the difference between a catalogue and a brochure.
05 What to weigh before buying
What this line is
Highland Ridge publishes nine Range Lite floorplans for 2026 and eight are profiled here. 14LW is catalogued but has no page under Range Lite: Highland Ridge split it out into its own Range Lite LW roster for 2027 and it is documented there, because one trailer does not get two pages on this site.
The four fields Highland Ridge does not publish
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are absent from Highland Ridge's specification channel for Range Lite. They are absent from this site too. None of the four is estimated from the segment, inferred from a sibling floorplan or lifted from a dealer listing quoting its own guess back. Tire size matters most of the four: two codes a digit apart are different tires with different load ratings, and a misread is a safety claim.
Match the tow vehicle honestly
The plans here run from 2,560 lbs to 6,960 lbs dry with dry tongue weights of 220 lbs to 845 lbs. Dry weight is not towing weight - water, batteries, propane, gear and dealer-installed accessories all sit on top of it, and tongue weight rises with them. Highland Ridge's own footnote calls unloaded weight an estimated average for a standard build. Read your own door sticker rather than a brochure maximum, and weigh the trailer loaded the way you actually travel.

Range Lite LW — factory roster, MY2027
Highland Ridge split one floorplan out of the Range Lite roster for 2027 and publishes it as Range Lite LW. It is catalogued here rather than on a hub of its own, because a single floorplan is not a hub. The figures below are the 2027 record; the same floorplan appeared inside the 2026 Range Lite roster with different published weights, as two model years of one trailer normally do.
| Floorplan | Dry wt | Length | Cargo | Tongue wt | GVWR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14LW | 2,515 | 17' 6" | 985 | 230 | 3,500 |
1 floorplan, every figure read from Highland Ridge's own per-plan factory pages. Dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published GVWR exactly on all 1.
