01 What makes it unique
The 2615 is the bigger of the two profiled Cyclone travel trailers: thirty-four feet eight inches overall on a thirty-two-foot-eight box, with an eight-foot-one main interior height and a twenty-one-foot awning. It sleeps four and carries the same mandatory packages as the 2214 — the Ramp and Cargo Equipment package with its 30-gallon locking fuel tank, garage D-rings and Tuff-Ply liner, and the Camping in Comfort package with a 60,000-BTU on-demand tankless water heater, 106 gallons of fresh water, a glass-front 12-volt refrigerator and a 13,500-BTU air conditioner.
The weights are published complete and tie out exactly: 8,640 pounds dry plus 4,610 pounds of cargo capacity equals the 13,250-pound GVWR. That 4,610-pound figure is the most of either Cyclone trailer. The dry tongue is 1,270 pounds. One thing is missing and it is missing at the factory: Heartland's own model card publishes a price of zero for this plan, which is its way of saying no base price is set. We show no placard price rather than borrow a dealer number. This is also one of two floorplans the trade catalogs have not caught up with — their MY2027 Cyclone record does not carry the 2615 at all, while Heartland's own page does.

These graphics are generated from the same verified record that builds the table above, and are published under this site’s own licence — nothing here is traced from, or derived from, a manufacturer drawing or photo. Where a figure is not published for this plan, the graphic that would need it is omitted rather than estimated. The full record is in the published dataset.
What it takes to tow this
Built from this floorplan’s verified weights. We publish the trailer side only.
We do not publish tow ratings for specific trucks. A single model can vary by thousands of pounds depending on engine, axle ratio, cab, drivetrain and package — the only authoritative figure is the one on your own door jamb. Loaded tongue percentages are industry convention for travel trailers (10–15% of loaded weight), not a measurement of this unit. Hitch classes are not used here as a rating: SAE J684 covers trailers to 10,000 lb GVWR and does not define Class V, and capacity boundaries differ between manufacturers — read the rating stamped on your hitch.
03 The Cyclone floorplan family
Heartland publishes Cyclone as two separate lines that share no floorplan codes: the Cyclone fifth wheel and the Cyclone travel trailer. Both carry the same mandatory Ramp and Cargo Equipment package — a 30-gallon fuel tank with a locking enclosed pump and timer, garage D-rings and a Tuff-Ply rubberized floor liner — and both publish their weights completely, which is rarer than it should be. The 2615 on this page is highlighted; each profiled plan links to its own page. Heartland does not publish a garage length for any Cyclone, so that column is absent from this catalog rather than estimated.
| Floorplan | Type | Length | GVWR | Sleeps | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2214 | TT | 28 ft 1 in | 11,700 | 4 | Entry Cyclone — the smallest and cheapest in the family |
| 2615 | TT | 34 ft 8 in | 13,250 | 4 | The larger trailer — most payload of the two, no published price |
| 3511 | 5W | 41 ft 2 in | 17,800 | 6 | Entry fifth wheel — the lightest pin of the three |
| 3913 | 5W | 46 ft 5 in | 21,000 | 8 | Most cargo capacity in the family — 5,565 lbs, sleeps eight |
| 3914 | 5W | 46 ft 11 in | 21,000 | 8 | The longest Cyclone — sleeps eight, heaviest pin |
| 2816 | TT | — | — | 4 | Catalogued — the factory publishes no weights for this plan |
The Cyclone travel trailer is the bumper-pull half of the family, published by Heartland as an entirely separate line sharing no floorplan codes with the fifth wheels. It carries the same mandatory Ramp and Cargo Equipment package - a 30-gallon fuel tank with a locking enclosed pump and timer, garage D-rings and a Tuff-Ply liner - and the same complete weight publication. Heartland publishes no garage length. Tongue weights are factory dry figures; weigh the loaded trailer and confirm against your vehicle's door-jamb placard.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Most cargo capacity of the Cyclone trailers
4,610 pounds published, against 4,255 on the 2214. Dry plus cargo equals GVWR exactly.
No base price published
Heartland's model card carries a price of zero for this plan, which means no base price is set. No placard price is shown here and no dealer figure is substituted.
The trade catalogs do not carry it yet
Heartland's MY2027 page publishes this floorplan; the third-party catalog record for MY2027 Cyclone does not include it. The factory is ahead, and the factory governs here.
No garage length
As with every Cyclone, Heartland publishes no garage dimension. Omitted, never estimated.
05 How it compares
Six feet shorter with 355 pounds less cargo capacity — but it has a published $64,868 base price.
A 13,000-pound-GVWR trailer toy hauler with the longest garage Grand Design builds — twenty feet seven inches, published.
A 17,800-pound-GVWR fifth wheel sleeping six, with three A/C units and a 17-cubic-foot refrigerator.
06 Loading it for a trip
This floorplan carries its water comfortably. A full 106-gallon fresh tank is roughly 19% of the 4,610-pound cargo capacity, leaving the 2615 with a usable gear budget even when you tow full.
| Weight budget | Figure | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Cargo capacity as published (CCC) | 4,610 lb | Everything you add: gear, water, propane, batteries, food, people’s belongings. |
| Fresh tank filled (106 gal × 8.34 lb) | −884 lb | Water is the heaviest thing most owners add, and it is added first. |
| Cargo budget left with a full fresh tank | 3,726 lb | 19% of this plan’s capacity is spent before a single bag is loaded. |
| Per sleeping position, water aboard | 931 lb | A rough share of what is left across the 4 berths this plan sleeps. |
The published dry tongue weight of 1,270 pounds is 15% of the 8,640-pound dry weight, which sits inside the 10–15% band usually quoted for stable towing. It is still a dry figure: loading the front pass-through and the fresh tank both push it up.
Nothing above changes the ceiling. Loaded to its 13,250-pound GVWR the 2615 is towing 4,610 pounds more than its 8,640-pound dry figure, and that is the number your vehicle has to be rated for — not the brochure weight.
Tank balance is generous here: 106 gallons of fresh against 74 grey and 37 black, so waste capacity keeps pace with supply and the fresh tank is the constraint that ends a dry stay.
07 Where this floorplan sits
Ranked by GVWR, the 2615 sits 2 of 5 in the Cyclone line: 13,250 pounds against a line that runs from 11,700 to 21,000 pounds. That position is the useful thing to know, because the plans immediately either side of it are the real alternatives.
Either side of it in the same line: Cyclone 2214 is 1,550 pounds lighter at 11,700 lb GVWR; and Cyclone 3511 is 4,550 pounds heavier at 17,800 lb GVWR.
| Comparable travel trailers | GVWR (lb) | Dry (lb) | Sleeps | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2615 | 13,250 | 8,640 | 4 | 34 ft 8 in |
| Seismic 265 | 13,250 | 8,640 | 6 | — |
| Campsite Reserve 39GB | 13,255 | 8,919 | — | 40 ft 7 in |
| Puma Vista 38RLB | 13,255 | 10,804 | — | 42 ft 3 in |
| Cherokee Timberwolf 39DK | 13,255 | 11,979 | — | 43 ft 9 in |
| Zinger 390DB | 13,200 | 10,517 | 8 | 43 ft 1 in |
| Cascade 39DLC | 13,342 | 11,327 | — | 42 ft 8 in |
Against the 2615: the Seismic 265 sleeps 2 more; the Campsite Reserve 39GB is 5 lb heavier and 6 ft longer; the Puma Vista 38RLB is 5 lb heavier and 8 ft longer. Those are differences in the published numbers only — what they cost, how they are built and how they live are separate questions each of those pages answers on its own terms.
Those are the nearest travel trailers from other lines by weight — one per line, picked by proximity on that figure and nothing else. They are listed so the same tow vehicle can be checked against real alternatives, not because they are equivalent inside; layout, build and price diverge sharply across that group.
For scale, the Cyclone floorplans profiled here run 7,445 to 15,970 pounds dry and 28 to 47 feet of exterior length across 5 plans. Where a floorplan falls in that spread usually says more about which vehicle can tow it, and which site it fits, than the layout name does.
Every profiled floorplan in this line, with the full weight table, is on the Cyclone line hub.
08 Common questions about the 2615
How much does the 2615 weigh?
It leaves the factory at 8,640 pounds dry, and its manufacturer-set loaded ceiling (GVWR) is 13,250 pounds. Real towing weight lands between the two and depends entirely on what you load. Use the GVWR when matching a tow vehicle; the dry figure is only useful for comparing floorplans against each other.
How much can the 2615 carry?
Cargo carrying capacity is 4,610 pounds. That is the whole budget: water, propane, batteries, gear and everything you bring. Filling the 106-gallon fresh tank uses about 884 pounds of that.
What is the tongue weight of the 2615?
The published dry tongue weight is 1,270 pounds. It is measured empty; loaded, it runs higher, and it comes out of your tow vehicle’s payload rather than its tow rating.
What size tow vehicle does the 2615 need?
Your vehicle needs a tow rating of at least 13,250 pounds — this floorplan’s GVWR — and enough payload left over for the hitch load, passengers and anything in the bed. This site does not publish tow ratings for specific vehicles, because one truck model varies by thousands of pounds across engine, axle ratio, cab and package. The figure that governs is the payload sticker on your own door jamb.
How many people does the 2615 sleep?
It is rated to sleep 4. Rated sleeping positions include convertible furniture, so count the beds against how you actually travel rather than against the number.
What are the tank capacities on the 2615?
Fresh 106 gallons, grey 74 gallons, black 37 gallons. Tank sizes set how long the floorplan can sit away from hookups, and the smallest of the three is what ends the stay.
How long is the 2615?
Exterior length is 34 ft 8 in. Measure against your site length and your storage before committing — the exterior figure is the one that has to fit, and it includes the tongue or pin box.
Every figure in these answers is read from this page’s verified specification table. Where the manufacturer publishes nothing, the question is not answered rather than estimated.
09 What this page publishes, and what it does not
This catalog tracks 18 specification fields per floorplan. Named sources publish 16 of them for the 2615. The rest are not shown, because the alternative is reading a figure across from a sibling floorplan or from what the segment usually does — and a number nobody published is worth less than an admitted gap.
Not published for this floorplan: slide count, refrigerator. If you find one of these in a manufacturer document for this plan, it belongs on this page.
The completeness figure at the foot of this page (95%) measures the same thing on the full field set: it is a measurement of how much this floorplan’s manufacturer publishes, not of how much research went into the page.
How every figure here was sourced and checked is set out on the methodology page.
11 NHTSA safety record
This floorplan belongs to the Cyclone line, and NHTSA holds 17 recall campaigns and 65 owner complaints against that line. They are separate records and are not added together — a recall is a manufacturer-confirmed defect with a remedy; a complaint is one owner’s account, which NHTSA does not verify.
What to look at on a used one. Across the 65 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are tires (45%), wheels (25%) and structure (11%). That is where owners of this family have had trouble, so it is where an inspection is worth the time.
Recall coverage is not complete — our harvest of NHTSA’s recall API ran 1,556 queries, of which 0 failed and 242 returned an explicit zero. A line can still be under-reported where NHTSA files a roster under a parent name, or where a match rests on the wording of the recall rather than its model field. Complaints come from the complete bulk file but are unverified and self-selected: a high count tracks how many units a line sold at least as much as how well it was built. Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Cyclone line page.
