01 What the Globetrotter is

The Globetrotter is Airstream's design-led travel trailer — the European-inspired premium counterpart to the Flying Cloud, built on the same dual-axle architecture but finished to a higher standard.

Mechanically it shares the Flying Cloud's bones, but the body is built wider (8 ft 5.5 in) and taller (9 ft 9 in), which opens up the cabin, and the spec sheet leans premium. The Globetrotter is the only Airstream trailer with award-winning HITCH seating upholstery; it pairs that with custom curved overhead cabinets in fingerprint-resistant white, a galley running a three-burner range with oven, a slide-out microwave, a deep stainless Moen sink, and a European Franke faucet. It also carries more powered hardware than the Flying Cloud — a powered awning, four powered stabilizer jacks, and a standard rearview monitoring camera. All of that adds 300 to 700 pounds over the equivalent Flying Cloud or International.

It sits between the standard-trim Flying Cloud and International below and the fully-loaded Classic above. The lineup is deliberately focused: three floorplans, each in queen or twin form, all sleeping six. There's no rear-bath 23-footer, no family bunk plan, and no rear-hatch option — the Globetrotter is the couples' and style line. As with every Airstream, there are no slide-outs; you're buying the riveted shell, the design, and the resale.

02 Choose your floorplan

Three layouts in the current (2025) line, each available in queen or twin configuration. Weights are factory base figures — dual A/C, solar/lithium, and decor options add to them. Each plan links to its full profile.

Floorplan Length Dry (lb) GVWR (lb) Hitch (lb) MSRP Best for
25FB 26'2"6,0747,300882$142,150 Entry; front bed; L-shaped lounge
27FB 28'2"6,2587,600871$150,550 Most popular; biggest galley/storage
30RB 31'2"6,9908,8001,045$166,950* Rear bed; lounge seats 10; most capacity

All three profiles are live. *30RB pricing shown is the 2026 MSRP; a clean 2025 figure was not published. The Flying Cloud and International lines share much of this dual-axle architecture in neutral or design-led trim at lower prices.

03 How the floorplans differ

The range moves on length and bedroom position. The 25FB is the entry: a front queen or twins, a convertible mid-dinette, and a split three-piece bath, in the shortest and lightest body. The 27FB — Airstream's most popular layout — adds two feet that go into galley counter, pantry, and a hallway wardrobe rather than the bed, making it the practical pick for longer trips.

The 30RB is a different animal: it moves the bedroom to the rear for privacy and opens the front into a large living and dining space whose lounge seats up to ten around a farmhouse-style table — the most social trailer Airstream builds short of the Classic. It also carries the most fresh water (54 gal) and cargo (1,810 lb), but its 8,800-lb GVWR and 1,045-lb tongue put it in a heavier tow class. All three stay dual-axle and share the same premium interior.

04 Model-year notes

Airstream relaunched the Globetrotter for the 2017–2018 era as its European-inspired design line, with the wider 25-foot models arriving in September 2018. The current lineup settled on the three floorplans above, each in queen or twin form. One earlier short floorplan was dropped.

23FBNarrower 8'-wide 23-ft front-bed body; rear three-piece bath; discontinued as the line moved to the wider 25/27/30-ft plans

Verified specs for the discontinued 23FB are being pulled from prior-year records and will populate its profile as it publishes.
