01 What makes it unique
The 30RB tops the Globetrotter line and works from a different premise than the front-bed plans: a private rear bedroom with a queen (or twins) and a large, open front living and dining area. Its signature is that lounge — designed to seat up to ten around a farmhouse-style table, it's the most social floorplan Airstream builds short of the Classic, and a genuine entertainer's trailer.
It's the biggest Globetrotter in every capacity that matters: 54 gallons of fresh water, the line's largest 1,810-pound cargo rating, and an 8,800-pound GVWR that steps it up into a heavier tow class needing a capable half-ton or better. Dual air conditioning is available, which moves it to 50-amp service. The premium interior carries over in full — HITCH upholstery, curved white cabinetry, the Moen-and-Franke galley, powered awning and stabilizers, and the standard rearview camera.
At 6,990 pounds dry with a 1,045-pound tongue, it carries the highest hitch weight in the line — plan on a quality weight-distribution hitch and a well-matched tow vehicle. Pricing runs to about $166,950 for 2026, which puts it within reach of the entry Classic; for buyers weighing the two, the Classic is the natural cross-shop.

03 Globetrotter floorplan family
The current Globetrotter line — three dual-axle floorplans, each offered in queen or twin bedroom configurations. The 30RB on this page is highlighted; each other plan links to its own profile.
| Floorplan | Nominal | Bedroom | Sleeps | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25FB | 26 ft | Front | 6 | Entry; L-lounge; front queen/twin |
| 27FB | 28 ft | Front | 6 | Most popular; biggest galley/storage |
| 30RB | 31 ft | Rear | 6 | Lounge seats 10; most capacity |
Globetrotter does not offer the rear-bath 23FB found in Flying Cloud and International, nor a family bunk plan or the optional rear hatch — it is the design-led couples' line. An earlier 23FB Globetrotter was discontinued and is documented separately.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Built to entertain
The front lounge seats up to ten around a farmhouse-style table — the most social layout in the Airstream travel-trailer range.
Most capacity in the line
54 gal fresh and 1,810 lb of cargo, the largest of any Globetrotter.
Heaviest tongue
At 1,045 lb of hitch weight, it needs a weight-distribution hitch and a capable half-ton-plus tow vehicle.
Classic-adjacent pricing
Around $166,950 for 2026 puts it near the entry Classic — worth cross-shopping the flagship.
05 How it compares
A front-bedroom plan that's lighter and shorter, with a lower tongue weight and price.
The flagship on the same length: a 10,000-lb GVWR, standard solar, and every feature included.
A similar rear-bed layout that's lighter and less expensive, with slightly less premium content.
