01 What makes it unique
The Jayco Seismic 415 is a fifth-wheel toy hauler in the MY2027 Seismic roster, with a 15' 0" garage behind the living space. Jayco publishes a dry weight of 16,590 pounds against a 22,000-pound GVWR, and the two tie out exactly with the published 5,410-pound cargo carrying capacity — 16,590 + 5,410 = 22,000. That arithmetic is checked on every plan in this catalogue, and a plan whose own figures disagree is catalogued without a page rather than quietly reconciled.
The dry pin weight is 3,720 pounds, or 22% of the dry weight. Fifth-wheel pin load lands in the truck bed and counts against the truck’s payload, not just its towing rating — it is the number that runs a truck out of payload before it runs out of tow capacity. Loaded pin runs higher than dry pin once the garage is filled. Payload is 5,410 pounds, 25% of GVWR — on a toy hauler that ceiling covers water, propane, cargo, dealer-fitted equipment AND whatever goes in the garage. Fresh water alone at 106 gallons is about 880 pounds when full.
Tanks are 106 gallons fresh, 87 grey and 87 black. Interior height is 8' 3" and the exterior measures 8' 6" wide on ST215/75R17.5'H' tyres. Jayco publishes one exterior height for this floorplan, 13' 2" with the air conditioner, and no bare roofline figure, so the roofline row reads “Not published” and nothing is derived from the A/C figure. This page covers the MY2027 415 only. Jayco’s figures move between model years — measured on this very roster, the 395 loses more than a foot of published length between MY2026 and MY2027 — so nothing here is carried over from a neighbouring year, and no year is shown that Jayco has not published for this code.
How the 415 differs from the other sixteen Seismic fifth wheels. Most distinctive first. Each rank counts only the siblings that publish that field, and a figure most of them share is left out. Not every one of these pages covers the same model years as this one (2027); each figure is the one its own page prints, so a rank compares pages, not one model year.
- Dry weight, 16,590 lb: heaviest of seventeen; next is the 395 (16,075 lb).

- Cargo capacity as a share of GVWR, 24.6%: fifth-largest of seventeen, between the 4125 (24.5%) and the 3512 (24.8%).
- Dry pin weight, 3,720 lb: fifth-heaviest of seventeen, between the 4125 (3,685 lb) and the Seismic 4113 (3,790 lb).
- Sleeping capacity, 6: smallest of nine, level with the 359 and 413; next are the 3512, 3815 and two others (7).
- Dry pin weight as a share of dry weight, 22.4%: seventh-smallest of seventeen, between the 4212 (21.9%) and the 3512 and 403 (22.5%).
Next to the 395 (2023–2027 page), the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 415 is 515 lb heavier by dry weight, has a GVWR 1,000 lb higher, has 485 lb more cargo capacity, has a dry pin weight 270 lb heavier and sleeps one fewer; the two publish the same interior height, fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (22,000 lb) and the upper loaded pin estimate (5,500 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 15–25% of GVWR on the pin, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433). The range starts at the published dry figure, because loaded is never lighter than dry.
03 The Seismic floorplan family
Seismic is Jayco's fifth-wheel toy-hauler flagship — a garage trailer built to carry motorcycles, side-by-sides or a track bike. Jayco's own floorplan titles call it a toy hauler, and the running gear is described around a Rota-Flex king pin, so the hitch figures on this page are PIN weights, carried in the truck bed and counted against the truck’s payload rating. The 415 on this page is highlighted; every other profiled plan links to its own page.

04 Notes on this floorplan
Figures are Jayco’s own, and they tie out
Dry 16,590 lb + cargo 5,410 lb = GVWR 22,000 lb exactly. Nothing on this page is computed from the other two, estimated from the segment, or taken from a dealer listing.
Dry means empty, and a toy hauler is never towed empty
16,590 lb is the unit as built, before water, propane, batteries, cargo, dealer-installed options — and before anything is loaded into the 15' 0" garage. Weigh the loaded trailer on a public scale before matching it to a tow vehicle.
Pin weight comes out of truck payload
3,720 lb of dry pin sits in the bed and counts against the truck’s payload rating, alongside passengers, fuel and the hitch itself. Loaded pin runs higher than dry pin, and on a garage trailer it moves with what is in the garage.
What this page does not publish
Jayco’s factory spec table for this floorplan carries no slide count, no bed size, no refrigerator or air-conditioner spec, no axle count and no MSRP. Those rows are absent here rather than filled from a sibling floorplan or a second source. Jayco’s published awning length is held in this catalogue’s saved copy of the factory page but not printed, because the catalogue tracks no awning field to print it into.
05 How it compares
Dry 16,075 lb against this plan’s 16,590 lb — 515 lb less to tow.
Every Seismic floorplan catalogued here, with the plans this site refuses to publish and the reason for each.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 106-gallon fresh tank is about 880 lb of water (water counts as cargo: 49 CFR 571.120 S10.4.2), 16% of the 415’s 5,410 lb cargo capacity, leaving 4,530 lb (755 lb per rated berth). Across 17 Seismic fifth-wheel floorplans the water share runs 16% to 27%, and 15 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Seismic 399 at 16% and Seismic 3815 at 17%. Your own unit’s figure is on the label inside its entry door (49 CFR 571.120 S10.4.3).
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Seismic 395, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 5 of the 8 fields both publish (this plan first): sleeps 6 vs 7; dry weight 16,590 lb vs 16,075 lb; GVWR 22,000 lb vs 21,000 lb; cargo capacity 5,410 lb vs 4,925 lb; hitch weight 3,720 lb vs 3,450 lb. They match on fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 17 recall campaigns and 13 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Seismic line. They are counted separately: a recall is a confirmed defect with a remedy, a complaint one owner’s unverified account.
What to look at on a used one. Across the 13 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are suspension (38%), unknown or other (23%) and service brakes (15%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Seismic line page.
