Backpack Edition SS-1200 truck camper
The Backpack Edition SS-1200 is a Palomino Backpack Edition truck camper model. The figures below are the maker’s own, as printed for the 2026 model year, each under the label the maker uses. Nothing here is estimated or carried across from another year or model; a figure the maker does not print reads Not published.
In short: UVW 1,612 lb, floor length 8', overall length 12' 10" (2026, as printed). A truck camper rides in the truck bed, so what matters is its loaded weight against the truck’s own payload rating on the door-jamb sticker. Water, propane, batteries, gear and options all add to the printed weight.

Notes on these figures
- The maker prints one weight for this model, labelled UVW (unloaded vehicle weight). It is shown as printed and is not called a dry weight here.
- The UVW is printed without a unit; the brochure gives its weights in pounds elsewhere.
- The maker’s footnote 2 to the centre of gravity reads: “The center of gravity measurement is as built. Your options and loading on the truck may adjust this measurement.”
