01 What makes it unique
Keystone publishes three weights for the Hideout 250RBS: a shipping weight of 6,040 lb, a carrying capacity of 1,660 lb and a hitch weight of 795 lb. Those are Keystone’s own terms, and this page keeps them. Keystone does not call the first figure dry or unloaded weight, does not say the hitch figure is measured dry, and publishes no GVWR for any Hideout floorplan, so none of the three is renamed here and no loaded rating is worked out from them. The trailer’s own federal weight label, inside the door, is the document that carries its UVW, cargo capacity and GVWR.
Keystone’s 2027 floorplan drawing for the 250RBS shows, at the front, an Olympic queen bed between wardrobes. Mid-coach: theater seating and a booth dinette in a slide, a pantry, and a kitchen with an air fryer, a knife block above the stove, a sink and a 10-cubic-foot refrigerator. At the rear: a full-width bath with a shower, linen storage and a wardrobe, with coat hooks by the door. It draws one slide-out and a 16-foot awning. Outside it labels an outside kitchen and pass-through storage. Layouts change with options; check the unit itself.
Keystone’s 2027 floorplan page for the 250RBS lists 117 standard and optional items in 8 groups. Systems and running gear it lists as standard: Radial tires; Tire Linc prep; I-beam frame w/ stamped steel cross-members & outriggers; LED Lighting throughout; 15K BTU A/C; 30K BTU Furnace; 42K BTU tankless water heater; Lithium ready Auto-Detect 12V Converter; 0.9 Cu. Ft. convection microwave with airfryer; 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator; 3 burner gas & 17" oven w/ glass cover; and LED lighting. Standard on the 250RBS but not on every Hideout floorplan page Keystone publishes (17 compared): Dual 20 lb. LP bottle; Reliable rack and pinion slide system; Carpetless flush floor slideouts; One piece enclosed underbelly; 41 gal. fresh tank; 30 AMP service; Full length pass through storage; Decorative Keystone logos on slideout facia; TV hook-up directly across from primary seating; Full access to bathroom when slide is closed; Tuf-Lok™ thermoplastic duct joiners; In-floor heating ducts; Tru-fit™ slide construction; and Pantry. Keystone lists 6 more such items on its page. Marked optional: Spare tire kit.
Tank capacities are 45 gal fresh, 68 gal gray and 30 gal waste, as Keystone lists them. Fresh water weighs about 8.3 lb per US gallon, so a full fresh tank is roughly 374 lb on the road before anything else is loaded. The tire size Keystone lists is ST205/75R14D.
Against the 4 Hideout floorplans profiled here, this one is the 2nd by Keystone’s shipping weight, in a range from 4,727 lb (210RL) to 7,220 lb (234MLS). Every figure in that comparison comes from the same Keystone page type for the same model year, so the comparison inside the series is like for like.
Every number on this page was read on 2 Nov 2026 from Keystone’s own floorplan page for the Hideout 250RBS. That page carries no model year, so the year comes from the roster page that links it, which lists the Hideout floorplans under the heading “2027 Floorplans”. Keystone notes that its website reflects the most recent production run and that features and specifications change during the year.

Towing it
Can’t check: Keystone publishes no GVWR. A tow check needs the GVWR, the most the trailer may weigh loaded, and Keystone prints none for this floorplan, so this site does not work one out. Read the GVWR on the trailer’s own federal weight label and hold it against your tow vehicle’s ratings.
03 The Hideout floorplan family
Keystone lists 16 Hideout floorplans for 2027. 4 have a complete Keystone figure set and no existing page here, and are profiled, from 4,727 lb to 7,220 lb shipping weight; the others are catalogued on this page with the reason against each. Keystone publishes shipping weight, carrying capacity and hitch weight for these trailers, and no GVWR.

04 Notes on this floorplan
What Keystone does not publish for the Hideout
No GVWR, no unloaded (dry) weight under that name, no dry hitch weight and no exterior width appear on Keystone’s floorplan pages for this series, so those rows read as not published. Nothing is filled from a sibling floorplan, a different model year or a dealer listing.
Read the label on the trailer
Federal rules put a load-carrying label inside every RV trailer: its unloaded weight with full propane, its cargo carrying capacity and its GVWR (49 CFR 571.110 and 571.120). On a Hideout those figures come from the trailer, not from this page, and they govern the towing decision.
05 How it compares
4,727 lb shipping weight against this plan’s 6,040 lb (Keystone’s figures, same series, same model year).
6,610 lb shipping weight and 2,425 lb carrying capacity, against this plan’s 6,040 lb and 1,660 lb.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 24 recall campaigns and 11 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Hideout line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
What to look at on a used one. Across the 11 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are structure (36%), equipment (27%) and electrical system (9%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Hideout line page.
