01 What makes it unique

Keystone publishes three weights for the Passport SL 2340RBK: a shipping weight of 5,960 lb, a carrying capacity of 1,640 lb and a hitch weight of 700 lb. Those are Keystone’s own terms, and this page keeps them. Keystone does not call the first figure dry or unloaded weight, does not say the hitch figure is measured dry, and publishes no GVWR for any Passport SL floorplan, so none of the three is renamed here and no loaded rating is worked out from them. The trailer’s own federal weight label, inside the door, is the document that carries its UVW, cargo capacity and GVWR.

Keystone’s 2027 floorplan drawing for the 2340RBK shows, at the front, a custom king bed between nightstands and closets. Mid-coach: a kitchen slide with a microwave, a large 12-volt refrigerator and a tri-fold sofa (optional theater seating is shown), and a booth dinette with a pop-up TV beside a pantry with washer/dryer prep. At the rear: a full-width bath with a corner sink, a toilet and a shower. It draws one slide-out and a 18-foot awning. Outside it labels an outdoor kitchen and unobstructed pass-through storage. Layouts change with options; check the unit itself.

Keystone’s 2027 floorplan page for the 2340RBK lists 60 standard and optional items in 9 groups. Systems and running gear it lists as standard: Edge Lighting Exterior Rear with integrated brake light and turn signal; Leaf Spring Axles with Road Armor Shock Absorbing System; Goodyear Endurance Tires; (2) 20 lb. propane bottles w/ flip-top cover; 18K Furrion Chill Cube A/C; 8K Furrion Chill Cube 2nd A/C; 30K BTU Furnace; Tankless Water Heater; LARGE LED Smart TV; 10 cu ft double-door 12V refer; Combo Air Fryer, Microwave, Convection w/ carousel; 3-Burner, high output range w/ glass-top & oven; Reccessed Dimmable Interior Lighting; and Interior control center. Standard on the 2340RBK but not on every Passport SL floorplan page Keystone publishes (13 compared): 54 gal. fresh, 38 gal. black and 38 gal. grey; Outdoor kitchen w/ griddle cooktop and mini-refer; and Booth Dinette. Marked optional: Theatre seating IPO tri-fold sofa.

Tank capacities are 54 gal fresh, 38 gal gray and 38 gal waste, as Keystone lists them. Fresh water weighs about 8.3 lb per US gallon, so a full fresh tank is roughly 448 lb on the road before anything else is loaded. The tire size Keystone lists is ST205/75R14D.

Against the 1 Passport SL floorplans profiled here, this one is the 1st by Keystone’s shipping weight, in a range from 5,960 lb (2340RBK) to 5,960 lb (2340RBK). Every figure in that comparison comes from the same Keystone page type for the same model year, so the comparison inside the series is like for like.

Every number on this page was read on 2 Nov 2026 from Keystone’s own floorplan page for the Passport SL 2340RBK. That page carries no model year, so the year comes from the roster page that links it, which lists the Passport SL floorplans under the heading “2027 Floorplans”. Keystone notes that its website reflects the most recent production run and that features and specifications change during the year.

How the 2340RBK differs from the other two Passport SL floorplans. Most distinctive first. How these ranks are worked out.

Towing it

Can’t check: Keystone publishes no GVWR. A tow check needs the GVWR, the most the trailer may weigh loaded, and Keystone prints none for this floorplan, so this site does not work one out. Read the GVWR on the trailer’s own federal weight label and hold it against your tow vehicle’s ratings.

04 Notes on this floorplan

What Keystone does not publish for the Passport SL

No GVWR, no unloaded (dry) weight under that name, no dry hitch weight and no exterior width appear on Keystone’s floorplan pages for this series, so those rows read as not published. Nothing is filled from a sibling floorplan, a different model year or a dealer listing.

Read the label on the trailer

Federal rules put a load-carrying label inside every RV trailer: its unloaded weight with full propane, its cargo carrying capacity and its GVWR (49 CFR 571.110 and 571.120). On a Passport SL those figures come from the trailer, not from this page, and they govern the towing decision.

11 NHTSA safety record

NHTSA holds 27 recall campaigns and 12 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Passport line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).

What to look at on a used one. Across the 12 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are unknown or other (25%), equipment (17%) and electrical system (8%).

Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Passport line page.
