01 What makes it unique
The Rockwood Mini Lite 2108RB leaves Forest River's factory at 4,768 lbs dry with 1,621 lbs of cargo capacity. Forest River publishes no GVWR for this line, so the loaded rating is not quoted on this page and is not computed from the other two figures. What the cargo number covers is defined by the factory: fresh water, gear, food, batteries and every dealer-installed accessory come out of it. Fresh water is 8.3 lb per gallon, so filling the 53-gallon fresh tank spends 440 lbs of the 1,621 lbs before anything else goes in.
Sold as the Flagstaff Micro Lite 21SRB as well
Forest River builds this floorplan under two nameplates and gives it a different code on each: Rockwood Mini Lite 2108RB and Flagstaff Micro Lite 21SRB are one trailer. The two badges share no floorplan codes at all, so a code from one will not be found on the other. Across the whole class the two rosters pair one-to-one on published dry weight, and on this plan the two factory records agree on 15 of the 15 published fields compared. The figures on this page are read from the Rockwood Mini Lite record; where the Flagstaff Micro Lite listing differs it is said so rather than averaged. The full code map is on the Rockwood & Flagstaff hub.
Tongue weight is 640 lbs, 13% of the dry weight as published; it rises as the trailer is loaded and counts against the tow vehicle’s tongue-weight and payload limits (tongue weight by size).
Off hookups: 58 gallons of grey and black capacity against 53 gallons of fresh water, so fresh water runs out first (tank sizes by length).
Against the rest of the Rockwood Mini Lite roster this is the 2nd of 16 floorplans by dry weight, in a line that runs from 4,472 lbs to 6,049 lbs. It sits in the lighter third of the line.
Plan the tow on loaded weight, not the 4,768 lbs dry figure: half the published cargo capacity brings this plan to about 5,578 lbs. Forest River publishes no loaded rating for this line, so the ceiling is the one on the trailer’s own weight label (how to read trailer weights).
Forest River’s line listing and this floorplan’s own factory page agree on all 4 shared figures. No GVWR is published for this line, so dry plus cargo has no rating to check against. A missing row means Forest River does not publish that figure (how figures are verified).
Forest River's own description of this floorplan reads: “The 2108RB blends comfort and functionality into a compact, easy-to-tow package. Its front Murphy bed converts to a dinette, giving you flexible living and sleeping space. Enjoy relaxing in the 72" theater seating across from the kitchen, which offers great prep space and storage. A large rear bathroom with a rectangular shower adds comfort and convenience, making the 2108RB perfect for couples or small families.” That is the factory's marketing copy rather than a specification, and nothing in it is treated as a verified field on this page - layout descriptions, sleeping arrangements and feature claims in factory copy are not carried into the spec table unless the factory also publishes them as specifications.

03 The Rockwood Mini Lite floorplan family
Mini Lite is the class Rockwood buyers reach for when the tow vehicle is the constraint. Across the nine plans profiled here dry weight runs 4,472 to 6,008 lb and tongue weight runs 557 to 720 lb. Cargo capacity runs 1,365 to 2,032 lb, and it does not track dry weight in the way buyers expect -- the spread between the most and least accommodating plan is roughly 670 lb of gear at broadly similar trailer weights. Fresh water is 53 gallons on every plan; grey runs 29 to 58 gallons and black is 29 throughout, so the real off-grid variable in this class is waste capacity rather than fresh.

Mini Lite is the lighter of the two long-running Rockwood travel-trailer classes, published as a single factory grouping of thirteen floorplans for 2027. Forest River publishes dry weight, cargo capacity, tongue weight, all three exterior dimensions and all three tank capacities for every plan in this channel. It publishes no GVWR for any of the thirteen, so loaded rating is shown as not published and is never computed from dry weight plus cargo capacity. Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are not published here either and are absent rather than estimated. Eight of the nine plans profiled carry a factory floorplan description; one does not.
04 Notes on this floorplan
What Forest River does not publish for this line
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are not in Forest River’s specification channel for Rockwood Mini Lite, so this page does not publish them and does not estimate them (how figures are verified).
There is no factory GVWR for this trailer
Forest River publishes dry weight, cargo capacity and tongue weight for every Rockwood Mini Lite floorplan and publishes no GVWR for any of them. The factory's own glossary defines cargo capacity as GVWR minus UVW, which means the rating can be worked out - and a figure you worked out is not a figure the manufacturer published, so this page does not print one. Use the weight label on the trailer itself, which every Forest River unit carries.
Weigh it before you tow it
Forest River calls its unloaded weight an estimated average for a standard build, and options and dealer add-ons change it, so weigh your own trailer loaded the way you travel (how figures are verified).
05 How it compares
4,472 lbs dry against this plan's 4,768 lbs, a difference of 296 lbs.
5,148 lbs dry, 380 lbs more than this plan, and 1,807 lbs of cargo capacity against this one's 1,621 lbs.
2,032 lbs of cargo capacity, the highest of the 16 Rockwood Mini Lite floorplans profiled here. If payload rather than length is the binding constraint, that is the plan to compare against.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 53-gallon fresh tank is about 440 lb of water, 27% of the 2108RB’s 1,621 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,181 lb. Across 16 Rockwood Mini Lite floorplans the water share runs 22% to 36%, and 4 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Rockwood Mini Lite 2516S at 26% and Rockwood Mini Lite 2213S at 27%.
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Rockwood Mini Lite 2213S, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 4 of the 7 fields both publish (this plan first): length 22 ft 2 in vs 23 ft 10 in; dry weight 4,768 lb vs 5,393 lb; cargo capacity 1,621 lb vs 1,600 lb; hitch weight 640 lb vs 650 lb. They match on fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 35 recall campaigns and 173 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Rockwood & Flagstaff line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
What to look at on a used one. Across the 173 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are tires (22%), structure (17%) and wheels (17%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Rockwood & Flagstaff line page.
