01 What makes it unique
The 30RB sits in the middle of the Classic line and is, for full-time and long-haul travelers, the most sensible of the three. It pairs a rear queen (or twins) under panoramic windows with a powered front dinette and lounge, a galley with a residential 9.7 cu ft refrigerator, and a bath split across the aisle. Where the 28RB trades tankage for length, the 30RB carries the full Classic capacities, and where the 33FB adds size and weight, the 30RB keeps the most payload of any plan in the line.
It carries every Classic standard: the 300W solar package with two 100Ah heated lithium batteries, 50-amp SmartPlug service, the Dexter Tow Assist ABS and sway-mitigation system, a hand-painted chassis, a powered ZipDee awning, four powered HD stabilizers, and the line-exclusive Michelin LT225/75R16 tires on 16-inch wheels. The cabin is hand-crafted Shaker cabinetry, Corian counters, and a residential bath, with MyAirstream connected technology managing lighting, shades, tanks, and climate.
The numbers are its argument: 7,725 pounds dry against a 10,000-pound GVWR leaves about 2,275 pounds of net cargo — the most generous in the Classic line — with 53 gallons of fresh water and 34/39 grey and black tanks for extended stays between services. It stands as the practical full-timer's Classic, listing at $195,400, between the compact 28RB and the flagship 33FB.

03 Classic floorplan family
The Classic line — three dual-axle floorplans from a 28-foot rear-bath layout to the 33-foot flagship, each offered in queen or twin bedroom configurations. The 30RB on this page is highlighted; each other plan links to its own profile.
| Floorplan | Nominal | Bedroom | Sleeps | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 28RB | 29 ft | Rear | 5 | Newest plan; smaller tanks; sleeps 5 |
| 30RB | 31 ft | Rear | 4 | 53-gal tanks; most payload in line |
| 33FB | 33 ft | Front | 4 | Flagship; every feature standard |
A fourth Classic-tier trailer, the Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian Limited Edition 28RB, is a separate 200-unit limited edition on its own lighter chassis with a king-convertible bedroom; it is documented on its own page.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Most payload in the line
About 2,275 lb of net cargo against a 10,000 lb GVWR — the most headroom of any Classic, which matters for full-timers carrying gear, water, and supplies.
Full Classic tankage
53 gallons of fresh water and a 9.7 cu ft residential fridge support genuine extended off-grid and long-haul stays the compact 28RB can't match.
Heavy on the road
At 7,725 lb dry with a 10,000 lb GVWR loaded, it wants a capable three-quarter-ton or better tow vehicle — the 16" Michelins and ABS sway control help, but this is no half-ton trailer.
Standing height in the bath
Like the rest of the line the 30RB runs a 6 ft 7 in interior height; taller owners should walk the rear bath in person before buying.
05 How it compares
Two feet shorter and lighter, sleeps five, but with smaller 39-gallon tanks, an 8.2 cu ft fridge, and a lower 8,800 lb rating.
The flagship — two feet longer with a front bedroom, a residential full-width rear bath, a 32" power-lift TV and dual reclining sofa, and every feature standard, at a heavier 8,425 lb dry.
The same length and rear-bath layout in Airstream's design-forward line — lighter and less expensive, but without the Classic's 16" wheels, 50-amp service, and standard ABS sway control.
