01 What makes it unique
The Freedom Express Ultra Lite 192RBS is the lightest and shortest plan in the line \— a true couples\’ trailer built around a front queen bedroom and a rear bath. A queen bed up front rides over vaulted under-bed storage whose cabinets convert to seats; a single sofa slide with a free-standing table opens the living area and sleeps an overnight guest; and a full rear bath with a 32-inch radius shower, a skylight and a linen closet sits at the back. Nominal capacity is three \— this is a lake-weekend couples\’ layout, not a family bunkhouse.
At 4,538 pounds unloaded and 22 feet 5 inches, the 192RBS is the easiest tow in the line \— comfortable behind a mid-size SUV or any half-ton \— with about 1,556 pounds of cargo capacity, a healthy payload for so light a trailer. It is the one Ultra Lite plan without the spread-axle design and without the ducted furnace and A/C of the bigger coaches; its 15,000-BTU air conditioner and furnace are standard but not ducted. The rest of the equipment is full 12-volt residential: a Magic Chef 10-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator, a 3-burner gas cooktop with a microwave, a 42,000-BTU tankless water heater and a Freedom Solar Ready 200-watt panel.
Construction is the Freedom Express Alumicage recipe \— two-step pinch-rolled, vacuum-bonded walls with dual-sided Azdel composite under a LAMILUX 1000 fiberglass exterior, a 3/4 gel-coated fiberglass cap, a full walk-on roof with Dicor Tufflex PVC and a heated, enclosed underbelly \— a clear tier above the metal-sided Catalina value line. For a couple who wants the lightest, most SUV-friendly trailer in the line with a real rear bath and laminate construction, the 192RBS is the entry point to the Ultra Lite range.

Every Freedom Express Ultra Lite uses Alumicage construction: two-step pinch-rolled and vacuum-bonded walls with dual-sided Azdel composite under a LAMILUX 1000 fiberglass exterior, a 3/4 gel-coated fiberglass cap with an automotive-glass windshield, a full walk-on roof with Dicor Tufflex PVC roofing, a 3-inch aluminum-framed floor with 5/8-inch plywood decking and a heated, enclosed underbelly — a clear construction tier above the metal-sided Catalina value line, alongside Coachmen's premium Apex Ultra-Lite. Standard equipment is full 12-volt residential: a Magic Chef 10-cubic-foot 12V double-door refrigerator, a 3-burner gas cooktop with a microwave, a Suburban 42,000-BTU tankless water heater, a GE 15,000-BTU roof air conditioner (with ducted furnace and A/C on all plans except the 192), a Freedom Solar Ready 200-watt panel with a 30-amp controller and 3,000-watt inverter prep, a central vacuum, a porcelain toilet, a power tongue jack, a power awning and backup-camera prep. A 50-amp upgrade with a second 15,000-BTU air conditioner, a hide-a-bed sofa, theater seats and power stabilizer jacks are options on select plans. Lengths, weights and equipment change with options and model year — always confirm against the unit's own weight sticker. Additional Freedom Express Ultra Lite and Select floorplans are catalogued on the line hub.
04 What owners & reviewers report
The lightest, most SUV-friendly plan in the line
At 4,538 lb UVW and 494 lb of hitch weight, the 192RBS tows behind a mid-size SUV or any half-ton \— the entry point to the Ultra Lite range with a healthy ~1,556-lb payload.
A couples\’ layout, not a bunkhouse
Nominal capacity is three; the sofa slide sleeps an overnight guest but there are no bunks \— the trade for the light, short, easy-towing body.
No spread axle and non-ducted heat/AC
The 192 is the one Ultra Lite plan without the spread-axle design and without ducted furnace and A/C; its 15,000-BTU A/C and furnace are standard but blow from a single point, so the bathroom can run cool.
Clever convertible under-bed storage
The front queen lifts on struts and the under-bed cabinets convert to seats with a folding table \— a smart use of space in a small trailer.
Selling price runs well below the placard
Dealer MSRP placards run near $40,000 while selling prices commonly land in the high-$20,000s; the figure shown is dealer-typical selling and is flagged.
05 How it compares
A larger front-bed, rear-bath couples\’ coach \— adds an outside kitchen, a fireplace and more length and payload, still a single slide.
A similar light couples\’ plan in Coachmen\’s premium ultra-light line \— richer standard equipment and 50-amp service standard, at a higher price.
A light no-slide bunk plan one construction tier down \— metal-sided value build at a lower price, sleeping more.
