01 What makes it unique

The Salem Hemisphere 21RBHL is the lightest and shortest trailer in the Hemisphere line — a 24-foot-11 Hyper-Lyte couples coach with a thoughtfully laid-out center kitchen and living area, a rear bath with a walk-in shower, theater seating and a queen bed with the Versa-Tilt power mechanism that adds roughly 14 inches of walk-around space. An outside refrigerator under the awning and a removable dining table round it out. Its twin in the Wildwood Heritage Glen 21RBHL is the identical trailer in different décor, so shoppers can pit Salem and Wildwood dealers against each other on price.

Hemisphere is the premium-laminate top of the Salem and Wildwood travel-trailer ladder, and the Hyper-Lyte plans carry the same rich build in a lighter package: a vacuum-laminated “Aluma Frame” sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls for headroom, Nordic Marble counters, a 10-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator and an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube air conditioner. The included Elevated Value and Expedition packages add a 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, a 60-by-80 bed, an enclosed underbelly and wide-stance 42-inch axles; a 200-watt roof-solar package is optional.

Payload is generous for so light a trailer — with a 7,595-pound derived GVWR the 21RBHL leaves about 2,712 pounds of cargo capacity, the most of any Hyper-Lyte couples plan, comfortable for two carrying water, gear and bikes. At 4,883 pounds dry with a 595-pound tongue it is the easiest Hemisphere to tow, well within a modern half-ton’s comfort zone. For two travelers who want the Hemisphere’s fiberglass roof, marble counters and theater seating in the smallest, most maneuverable body the line offers — and the option to shop the identical Wildwood Heritage Glen — the 21RBHL is the entry point.

03 Salem Hemisphere & Wildwood Heritage Glen floorplan family

Forest River's Salem Hemisphere and its twin the Wildwood Heritage Glen are the same premium-laminate travel trailers built on the same factory line, differing mainly in graphics and décor and sharing an identical floorplan roster. Hemisphere sits at the top of the Salem / Wildwood travel-trailer ladder — a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" coach with a one-piece fiberglass roof, Nordic Marble counters, an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube and an automotive windshield — in two tiers: a lighter Hyper-Lyte series of half-ton plans and a heavier full-Hemisphere series of triple-slide family and couples' coaches. The 21RBHL on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The line runs to roughly two dozen travel-trailer floorplans plus a fifth-wheel range; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

Every Salem Hemisphere and Wildwood Heritage Glen trailer is built on a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls and wide-stance 42-inch axles, and ships with an Elevated Value Package (one-piece fiberglass roof, 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, JBL audio, flush-floor slides) and an Expedition Package (60-by-80 or 72-by-80 beds, 18,000-BTU Furrion main A/C, enclosed underbelly with 12V tank heaters, washer/dryer prep). The full-Hemisphere plans add a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner (not the 261FKRB or 265BSRB), an electric fireplace on most models, a 50-inch smart TV and an outside kitchen on the larger bunk and rear-living plans. A roof-mounted 200-watt solar package is optional on every plan. Lengths, weights and equipment change with options, region and model year — always confirm against the unit's own weight sticker. Additional Hemisphere travel-trailer floorplans (and the Hemisphere fifth-wheel range) are catalogued on the line hub.

04 What owners & reviewers report

The lightest Hemisphere

At 4,883 lb dry and 24-foot-11 long, the 21RBHL is the smallest, lightest trailer in the line — a center-kitchen couples coach with a rear walk-in-shower bath and an outside refrigerator, towable behind almost any half-ton.

Sleeps figure varies

Forest River omits a sleeping count; dealers list the 21RBHL at two to four (the queen plus a convertible). Shown as “up to 4” — the higher figure assumes the dinette or theater seat is made up as a bed.

GVWR is derived, not published

Forest River publishes UVW (4,883) and CCC (2,712) but not GVWR; the 7,595-lb figure is UVW + CCC, Forest River’s own definition. Flagged with an asterisk.

Selling price, not MSRP

Dealer MSRP placards on Hemisphere run far above street prices; the figure shown is a representative dealer-typical selling price and is flagged.

05 How it compares

↑ Step up
Salem Hemisphere 24RBHL

The next Hyper-Lyte couples plan up — a true front private bedroom and rear bath in a longer body, heavier but more separated for two.

↔ Rear-kitchen alt
Salem Hemisphere 28RKHL

A longer Hyper-Lyte couples coach with the kitchen moved to the rear and a front private bedroom — more galley and storage, more weight.
