01 What makes it unique
The Salem Hemisphere 261FKRB is the full-Hemisphere front-kitchen couples coach — an unusual layout that puts a full-width cook’s galley across the nose under a landscape window, a private bedroom with a king bed slide behind it, and a rear full bath with dual sinks, a walk-in shower and a skylight. Two slide-outs open the 31-foot-8 body wide. Its twin in the Wildwood Heritage Glen 261FKRB is the identical trailer in different décor; an independent reviewer called it essentially the same rig with different stickers.
It carries the premium-laminate build that defines the line: a vacuum-laminated “Aluma Frame” sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls, Nordic Marble counters, a 10-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator with a microwave over a three-burner range and a 21-inch oven, and an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube. Unlike the larger Hemisphere plans the 261FKRB and its 265BSRB sibling are not prepped for a second air conditioner and carry a 40-inch TV rather than the 50-inch unit found elsewhere in the line; a 200-watt roof-solar package is optional.
With a 9,820-pound derived GVWR the 261FKRB leaves about 2,257 pounds of cargo capacity, ample for two travelers, and spread axles smooth the tow. The front galley’s width — counters running wall-to-wall and along the camp side to a wider-than-average entry door — gives it more kitchen storage than most couples trailers. For two who cook and want a private bedroom and a residential rear bath in the Hemisphere’s laminate build — with the identical Wildwood Heritage Glen to cross-shop — the 261FKRB is a distinctive, seasonal-friendly choice.

03 Salem Hemisphere & Wildwood Heritage Glen floorplan family
Forest River's Salem Hemisphere and its twin the Wildwood Heritage Glen are the same premium-laminate travel trailers built on the same factory line, differing mainly in graphics and décor and sharing an identical floorplan roster. Hemisphere sits at the top of the Salem / Wildwood travel-trailer ladder — a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" coach with a one-piece fiberglass roof, Nordic Marble counters, an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube and an automotive windshield — in two tiers: a lighter Hyper-Lyte series of half-ton plans and a heavier full-Hemisphere series of triple-slide family and couples' coaches. The 261FKRB on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The line runs to roughly two dozen travel-trailer floorplans plus a fifth-wheel range; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

Every Salem Hemisphere and Wildwood Heritage Glen trailer is built on a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls and wide-stance 42-inch axles, and ships with an Elevated Value Package (one-piece fiberglass roof, 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, JBL audio, flush-floor slides) and an Expedition Package (60-by-80 or 72-by-80 beds, 18,000-BTU Furrion main A/C, enclosed underbelly with 12V tank heaters, washer/dryer prep). The full-Hemisphere plans add a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner (not the 261FKRB or 265BSRB), an electric fireplace on most models, a 50-inch smart TV and an outside kitchen on the larger bunk and rear-living plans. A roof-mounted 200-watt solar package is optional on every plan. Lengths, weights and equipment change with options, region and model year — always confirm against the unit's own weight sticker. Additional Hemisphere travel-trailer floorplans (and the Hemisphere fifth-wheel range) are catalogued on the line hub.
04 What owners & reviewers report
A true front cook’s kitchen
Counters run the full width of the nose and down the camp-side wall to a wider entry door, with a microwave over a three-burner range and a 21-inch oven — far more galley than a typical couples trailer.
No second A/C; 40-inch TV
Unlike the larger Hemisphere plans, the 261FKRB and 265BSRB are not prepped for a second air conditioner and ship with a 40-inch TV in place of the line’s 50-inch unit. The third-A/C option is also N/A on this plan.
GVWR is derived, not published
Forest River publishes UVW (7,563) and CCC (2,257) but not GVWR; the 9,820-lb figure is UVW + CCC, Forest River’s own definition. Flagged.
Selling price, not MSRP
Dealer MSRP placards on this plan run past $60,000 while selling prices cluster around $40,000; the figure shown is a representative dealer-typical selling price and is flagged.
05 How it compares
The lighter Hyper-Lyte couples coach — front bedroom and rear bath, single slide, half-ton weight and a lower price.
The triple-slide rear-living flagship — a custom king, panoramic-window lounge and walk-in wardrobe, much longer and heavier.
