01 What makes it unique
The Salem Hemisphere 310BHI is the full-Hemisphere family bunkhouse — a rear bunk room with a convertible sofa/bed, a front bedroom, a kitchen island and direct sightlines across the campsite, all opened up by three slide-outs in a 38-foot-1 body. A standard 50-inch TV, a pantry the factory cheerfully calls house-sized, and stackable washer/dryer prep in the bedroom wardrobe round it out. Its twin in the Wildwood Heritage Glen 310BHI is the identical trailer in different décor.
It carries the premium-laminate build of the line: a vacuum-laminated “Aluma Frame” sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls, Nordic Marble counters, a 10-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator and an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube with a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner. Outside, a massive exterior kitchen and a pair of awnings (10 and 12 feet) extend the living space; a JBL sound system plays inside and out, and a 200-watt roof-solar package is optional.
With an 11,445-pound derived GVWR the 310BHI leaves about 2,112 pounds of cargo capacity and a 1,245-pound tongue, so it needs a capable half-ton or a three-quarter-ton truck and weight distribution. Fresh, gray and black tanks run 45, 66 and 30 gallons. For a family that wants a real bunk room, an island kitchen, a huge outside kitchen and laundry prep in the Hemisphere’s laminate build — with the identical Wildwood Heritage Glen to cross-shop — the 310BHI is the line’s family workhorse.

03 Salem Hemisphere & Wildwood Heritage Glen floorplan family
Forest River's Salem Hemisphere and its twin the Wildwood Heritage Glen are the same premium-laminate travel trailers built on the same factory line, differing mainly in graphics and décor and sharing an identical floorplan roster. Hemisphere sits at the top of the Salem / Wildwood travel-trailer ladder — a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" coach with a one-piece fiberglass roof, Nordic Marble counters, an 18,000-BTU Furrion Chill Cube and an automotive windshield — in two tiers: a lighter Hyper-Lyte series of half-ton plans and a heavier full-Hemisphere series of triple-slide family and couples' coaches. The 310BHI on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The line runs to roughly two dozen travel-trailer floorplans plus a fifth-wheel range; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

Every Salem Hemisphere and Wildwood Heritage Glen trailer is built on a vacuum-laminated "Aluma Frame" sidewall and floor with block-foam insulation, a WeatherShield one-piece fiberglass roof, 82-inch sidewalls and wide-stance 42-inch axles, and ships with an Elevated Value Package (one-piece fiberglass roof, 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, JBL audio, flush-floor slides) and an Expedition Package (60-by-80 or 72-by-80 beds, 18,000-BTU Furrion main A/C, enclosed underbelly with 12V tank heaters, washer/dryer prep). The full-Hemisphere plans add a standard second 13,500-BTU air conditioner (not the 261FKRB or 265BSRB), an electric fireplace on most models, a 50-inch smart TV and an outside kitchen on the larger bunk and rear-living plans. A roof-mounted 200-watt solar package is optional on every plan. Lengths, weights and equipment change with options, region and model year — always confirm against the unit's own weight sticker. Additional Hemisphere travel-trailer floorplans (and the Hemisphere fifth-wheel range) are catalogued on the line hub.
04 What owners & reviewers report
A massive outside kitchen + island
Direct campsite sightlines, a kitchen island inside, a huge exterior kitchen outside, a 50-inch TV and a house-sized pantry — the full-Hemisphere family layout, with W/D prep in the bedroom wardrobe.
Sleeps conflict logged
Forest River omits sleeping count; most dealers list the 310BHI at sleeps 7 (rear bunks + convertible sofa), one at 9. Used 7 (the most common figure); the higher count assumes every convertible is occupied.
GVWR is derived, not published
Forest River publishes UVW (9,333) and CCC (2,112) but not GVWR; the 11,445-lb figure is UVW + CCC, Forest River’s own definition. Flagged.
Needs a capable tow vehicle
At 9,333 lb dry with a 1,245-lb tongue and an 11,445-lb GVWR, the 310BHI wants a strong half-ton or a three-quarter-ton truck and weight distribution — confirm against your door-jamb placard.
Selling price, not MSRP
Dealer MSRP placards run into the high $60,000s and $70,000s while selling prices cluster in the low-to-mid $50,000s; the figure shown is dealer-typical and flagged.
05 How it compares
The Hyper-Lyte family bunkhouse — rear twin bunks and a U-dinette at half-ton weight and a much lower price, a single slide instead of three.
The triple-slide rear-living flagship on the same long body — a couples coach with a custom king and panoramic lounge instead of a bunk room.
