01 What makes it unique
The Jayco Eagle HT 320MKTS is a 36' 8" travel trailer in the MY2026 Eagle HT roster. Jayco publishes a dry weight of 9,280 pounds against a 11,500-pound GVWR, and the two tie out exactly with the published 2,220-pound cargo carrying capacity — 9,280 + 2,220 = 11,500. That arithmetic is checked on every plan in this catalogue, and a plan whose own figures disagree is catalogued without a page rather than quietly reconciled.
The dry tongue weight is 1,190 pounds, or 13% of the dry weight. Tongue load transfers to the hitch and the rear axle, and a weight-distributing hitch redistributes it rather than removing it. Payload is 2,220 pounds, 19% of GVWR — that is the ceiling for water, propane, cargo and any dealer-fitted equipment combined. Fresh water alone at 51 gallons is about 423 pounds when full.
Tanks are 51 gallons fresh, 74 grey and 37 black, and the factory lists ST235/80R16'H' tires. Interior height is 7' 0" and the exterior measures 8' 1" wide by 11' 3" tall — check that height against your own garage, and remember an air-conditioner shroud adds to it. This page covers the MY2026 320MKTS only. Jayco’s figures move between model years — measured on one Eagle floorplan across five consecutive years, 20 of 28 published fields changed, including tire size and a 290-pound swing in dry pin weight — so nothing here is carried over from a neighbouring year, and no year is shown that Jayco has not published for this code.

How these published figures sit against the rest of the catalogue: travel trailer tongue weight by size; fresh, grey and black tank sizes; camper trailer size chart.
Federal tire recalls naming this size. NHTSA’s recall file names ST235/80R16 in one tire recall: 21T018000 (Sailun Tire Americas, Inc., 2021; make SAILUN; models BLACKHAWK, BLACKLION, IRONHEAD, ROADX, SAILUN). A tire recall covers only the brands, lines and DOT date codes it lists, and this page does not know which brand of tire this trailer was built with, so read the brand and DOT code on your own sidewalls before relying on this list. Only 242 of NHTSA’s 788 tire recalls name a size in their summary, so a size with no match is not a clean record (NHTSA recall file, read 12 Oct 2026).

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (11,500 lb) and the upper loaded tongue estimate (1,725 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 10–15% of GVWR on the tongue, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433). The range starts at the published dry figure, because loaded is never lighter than dry.
The 2027 model year, as Jayco lists it
For 2027, Jayco’s Eagle Travel Trailer 320MKTS page differs from the 2026 record above in 5 figures: unloaded weight 9,280 lb → 9,340 lb; cargo capacity 2,220 lb → 2,160 lb; hitch weight 1,190 lb → 1,110 lb; fresh tank 51 gal → 52 gal; exterior height 11' 3" → 11' 2". Unchanged: GVWR, grey tank, black tank, width. Jayco prints no overall exterior length for the 2027 plan, so none is shown. Jayco’s 2027 page lists this floorplan under the Eagle badge; Eagle HT was renamed Eagle, so the 2027 record belongs on this page (one line, renamed). Unloaded weight plus cargo capacity equals the 2027 GVWR exactly.

03 The Eagle HT floorplan family
Jayco's Eagle is the brand's premium towable family, and it splits three ways. The full-size Eagle is the flagship fifth wheel — Stronghold VBL™ laminated walls, 5-Star Handling, the HELIX dual-15,000-BTU cooling system and a 16 cubic-foot residential refrigerator. Jayco offers the Eagle HT line as both a fifth wheel and a travel trailer — lighter, 4-Star Handling with Goodyear Endurance tires, and lower pin or tongue weights. The 320MKTS on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The full Eagle catalogue runs to dozens of floorplans across all three; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

Eagle HT is Jayco's lighter premium line, sold as both a fifth wheel and a travel trailer on the same residential build. It sits above Jay Feather and below the full-size Eagle. Pin and tongue weights are dry factory figures and climb with cargo — even a light fifth wheel needs its loaded pin checked against the truck's payload and rear-axle rating. Additional Eagle HT floorplans are catalogued on the line hub.
04 Notes on this floorplan
Figures are Jayco’s own, and they tie out
Dry 9,280 lb + cargo 2,220 lb = GVWR 11,500 lb exactly. Nothing on this page is computed from the other two, estimated from the segment, or taken from a dealer listing.
Dry means empty, and you will not tow it empty
9,280 lb is the unit as built, before water, propane, batteries, cargo or dealer-installed options. Weigh the loaded trailer on a public scale before matching it to a tow vehicle.
Tongue load rides the rear axle
1,190 lb dry tongue transfers to the hitch and the rear axle. A weight-distributing hitch moves that load around; it does not make it disappear.
What this page does not publish
Jayco’s factory spec table for this floorplan carries no slide count, no bed size, no refrigerator or air-conditioner spec and no MSRP. Those rows are absent here rather than filled from a sibling floorplan or a second source. Jayco’s published awning length is held in this catalogue’s saved copy of the factory page but not printed, because the catalogue tracks no awning field to print it into.
05 How it compares
Dry 7,270 lb against this plan’s 9,280 lb — 2,010 lb less to tow.
Every Eagle, Eagle HT and Eagle SLE floorplan catalogued here, with the plans this site refuses to publish and the reason for each.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 51-gallon fresh tank is about 423 lb of water (water counts as cargo: 49 CFR 571.120 S10.4.2), 19% of the 320MKTS’s 2,220 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,797 lb (449 lb per rated berth). Across 28 Eagle travel-trailer floorplans the water share runs 14% to 50%, and 23 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Eagle 270RLDS at 18% and Eagle 325BROK at 20%. Your own unit’s figure is on the label inside its entry door (49 CFR 571.120 S10.4.3).
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Eagle 294CKBS, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 6 of the 9 fields both publish (this plan first): length 36 ft 8 in vs 37 ft 11 in; dry weight 9,280 lb vs 9,660 lb; GVWR 11,500 lb vs 11,700 lb; cargo capacity 2,220 lb vs 2,040 lb; hitch weight 1,190 lb vs 1,290 lb; fresh tank 51 gal vs 52 gal. They match on sleeps, grey tank and black tank.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 43 recall campaigns and 79 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Eagle line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
What to look at on a used one. Across the 79 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are structure (23%), tires (19%) and equipment (15%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Eagle line page.
