01 What makes it unique

The Eagle 355MBQS is the family flagship — a 42-foot, four-slide fifth wheel with a middle bedroom/den, a loft above for kids or guests, and a private front master suite with a king-bed slide and walk-in closet. A rear tri-fold sofa and theater seating make the back a living and second-sleeping zone, and the layout sleeps up to ten — the most berths in the Eagle range, in a genuinely residential package.

It carries the full Eagle build: Stronghold VBL™ laminated walls, 5-Star Handling, and the HELIX dual-15,000-BTU cooling system. A 15,200-pound GVWR on a 12,830-pound dry weight leaves 2,370 pounds of payload — the most of these plans — with a 2,285-pound dry pin that requires a three-quarter-ton or larger truck. An 81-gallon fresh tank, 87-gallon gray, 16 cubic-foot residential refrigerator and washer/dryer prep equip it for full-time family use.

It is a large, feature-dense coach at an MSRP near $86,000 — the top of the mainstream Eagle range before the luxury fifth wheels. For families or full-timers who need real bedrooms, a loft and ten berths in a residential fifth wheel, the mid-bunk 355MBQS is the most space the Eagle line offers.

03 The Eagle floorplan family

Jayco's Eagle is the brand's premium towable family, and it splits three ways. The full-size Eagle is the flagship fifth wheel — Stronghold VBL™ laminated walls, 5-Star Handling, the HELIX dual-15,000-BTU cooling system and a 16 cubic-foot residential refrigerator. The Eagle HT ("half-ton") line is engineered to be towable by a properly equipped half-ton truck, and Jayco offers it as both a fifth wheel and a travel trailer — lighter, 4-Star Handling with Goodyear Endurance tires, and lower pin or tongue weights. The 355MBQS on this page is highlighted; each other profiled plan links to its own page. The full Eagle catalogue runs to dozens of floorplans across all three; the highest-demand layouts are detailed here and the rest are catalogued on the line hub.

The full-size Eagle is offered only as a fifth wheel. Above it sit Jayco's luxury North Point and Pinnacle fifth wheels; below it, the half-ton Eagle HT line in both fifth-wheel and travel-trailer form. Eagle fifth-wheel pin weights are factory dry figures from Jayco's 2026 brochure and climb with cargo — always weigh the loaded coach and confirm your truck's payload, rear-axle and hitch ratings. Additional Eagle floorplans are catalogued on the line hub.

04 What owners & reviewers report

Mid-bunk plus loft

A middle bedroom/den and an upper loft give kids and guests their own space — sleeps up to ten.

Most payload and berths

2,370 lb of payload and ten berths make it the most family-capable coach in the Eagle line.

Full-timer equipment

Washer/dryer prep, a 16 cu ft residential fridge and big tanks suit extended or full-time use.

Big rig, big truck

At 42 feet, a 15,200-lb GVWR and a 2,285-lb dry pin it needs a 3/4-ton-plus and a full-size site.
