01 What makes it unique
The Coachmen Apex Nano 190RBS leaves Coachmen's factory at 3,936 lbs dry, with a published GVWR of 4,700 lbs and 764 lbs of cargo capacity between the two. Cargo capacity is 16% of the loaded rating, and cargo capacity is what remains for fresh water, gear, food, batteries and every dealer-installed accessory. Fresh water alone is 8.3 lb per gallon, so filling this trailer's 52-gallon fresh tank spends 432 lbs of that 764 lbs before anything else is loaded.
Tongue weight is 554 lbs, or 14% of the dry weight. Ten to fifteen percent is the conventional band for a bumper-pull trailer, and this plan sits inside it as published. Tongue weight is not fixed: it moves with how the trailer is loaded, and weight added ahead of the axles raises it. A weight-distribution hitch is the normal fitment at this tongue load, and the tow vehicle's tongue-weight limit is a separate number from its trailer-weight limit.
Tank capacities are 52 gallons fresh, 35 grey and 35 black, 70 gallons of waste capacity against 52 gallons of supply. The ratio is what governs how long the trailer can sit off hookups: waste capacity exceeds fresh, so the fresh tank is the binding constraint and refilling extends the stay. Coachmen publishes these three figures per floorplan, and they are the factory's numbers rather than a segment average.
Against the rest of the Coachmen Apex Nano roster this is the 6th of 13 floorplans by dry weight, in a line that runs from 3,420 lbs to 4,632 lbs. It sits in the middle of the line by weight. Comparing floorplans inside one line is more reliable than comparing across brands, because every figure here comes from the same factory channel on the same day.
A useful way to read the pair of weights is to stop planning against the dry figure. Nobody tows a trailer at 3,936 lbs: that is the weight before water, batteries, propane, bedding, food, tools and anything the dealer bolted on. Load half the published cargo capacity, which is modest for a family trip, and this plan is already near 4,318 lbs on the road. Compare that number against the tow vehicle, not the dry weight, and leave margin on top of it - the published GVWR of 4,700 lbs is a limit rather than a target.
Every number above was read from one factory document: Coachmen's own 2026 brochure for this line, and each figure was read back against that document's text before it was published. This is a single-channel record rather than the two-page cross-check this site runs on saved factory web pages, and it is described that way rather than dressed up as more. Dry weight plus cargo capacity also equals the published GVWR exactly, which is the arithmetic check this site runs on every profiled floorplan. Where a figure is missing from this page it is because the brochure does not publish it, not because it was hard to find - and the row says so rather than being quietly dropped.
Coachmen publishes no floorplan description for this plan in the channel this page is built from - only the numeric specification block. Rather than describe a layout from the floorplan code, which would be a guess dressed as a fact, this page carries what the factory publishes and says where it stops. 190RBS is a Coachmen Apex Nano designation and this site does not decode it into a layout claim.
How the 190RBS differs from the other twelve Coachmen Apex Nano floorplans. Most distinctive first. Each rank counts only the siblings that publish that field, and a figure most of them share is left out.
- Cargo capacity, 764 lb: second-smallest of thirteen, between the 194BHS (762 lb) and the 183BH and 186BH (930 lb).
- Cargo capacity as a share of GVWR, 16.3%: second-smallest of thirteen, between the 194BHS (16.2%) and the 183BH and 186BH (19.8%).
- Length, 22 ft 7 in: fourth-shortest of thirteen, between the 181RB and 187RB (21 ft 5 in) and the 194BHS (22 ft 8 in).
- Tongue weight as a share of dry weight, 14.1%: largest of thirteen, level with the 194BHS; next is the 213RDS (14%).
- Dry weight, 3,936 lb: sixth-lightest of thirteen, between the 183BH and 186BH (3,770 lb) and the 194BHS (3,938 lb).
- Tongue weight, 554 lb: shared with the 194BHS; of thirteen, eight lighter and three heavier, nearest the 224RBS (546 lb) and the 216RKS (570 lb).
- Grey tank, 35 gal: shared with the 203RBK, 208BHS and two others; of thirteen, six smaller and two larger, nearest the 181RB, 183BH and four others (27 gal) and the 216RKS and 224RBS (70 gal).
Next to the 183BH, the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 190RBS is 166 lb heavier by dry weight, has 166 lb less cargo capacity, has a tongue weight 57 lb heavier, is 4 in shorter, has a grey tank 8 gal larger and has a black tank 8 gal larger; the two publish the same GVWR, exterior height and fresh tank.
Next to the 194BHS, the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 190RBS is 2 lb lighter by dry weight, has 2 lb more cargo capacity, is 1 in shorter, has a grey tank 8 gal larger and has a black tank 8 gal larger; the two publish the same GVWR, tongue weight, exterior height and fresh tank.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (4,700 lb) and the upper loaded tongue estimate (705 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 10–15% of GVWR on the tongue, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433). The range starts at the published figure, because loaded is never lighter than that.
03 The Coachmen Apex Nano floorplan family
Apex Nano is the narrow, light end of the Apex family: every floorplan is 7.5 ft wide, against 8 ft for the Ultra-Lite and X-Series. The 13 plans in Coachmen's 2026 table run from 3,420 lb to 4,632 lb unloaded, on published hitch weights of 423 to 590 lb, and they carry one of only 2 GVWR figures between them: 4,700 lb and 6,000 lb. So the line splits cleanly into a lighter group rated 4,700 lb and a longer group rated 6,000 lb, and inside each group the plan with the higher unloaded weight has less cargo capacity left, because the rating does not move. Dry weight plus cargo capacity equals the published GVWR on 13 of 13.

Apex Nano is published by Coachmen in one specification table of 13 floorplans in its 2026 Apex brochure, under the heading "Apex Nano, 7.5 ft. wide". All 13 are profiled here. Two pairs publish identical figures on every row of that table (181RB and 187RB; 183BH and 186BH): the brochure draws them as different floorplans, so they are different trailers, and the numbers alone do not tell them apart. Coachmen publishes hitch weight, cargo capacity, unloaded weight, GVWR, exterior length, exterior height including the roof air conditioner, interior height, awning length and all three tank capacities for every floorplan in this table, and the section heading states the width. It publishes no sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size or MSRP in the brochure, so those rows read not published rather than estimated. Coachmen RV is a division of Forest River, Inc.
04 Notes on this floorplan
What Coachmen does not publish for this line
Sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size and MSRP are absent from Coachmen's specification channel for Coachmen Apex Nano, so they are absent here. They are not estimated from the segment, not carried over from a sibling floorplan, and not taken from a dealer listing quoting itself. A tire size in particular is a safety-relevant number that differs between two codes a digit apart, and this site does not guess one.
Weigh it before you tow it
Every figure on this page is a factory publication for a standard build. The brochure itself notes that a unit may differ from what it publishes because of changes in the manufacturing process and equipment, and options, dealer-installed accessories and the previous owner's additions all move it. The only weight that governs your towing decision is the one under your own trailer on a scale, loaded the way you actually travel.
05 How it compares
3,770 lbs dry against this plan's 3,936 lbs, a difference of 166 lbs. Same line, same factory channel, same model year - so the gap is a real one rather than a difference in how two brands measure.
3,938 lbs dry, 2 lbs more than this plan, and 762 lbs of cargo capacity against this one's 764 lbs. Stepping up a floorplan usually buys length before it buys payload.
1,842 lbs of cargo capacity, the highest of the 13 Coachmen Apex Nano floorplans profiled here. If payload rather than length is the binding constraint, that is the plan to compare against.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 52-gallon fresh tank is about 434 lb of water (water counts as cargo: 49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.2), 57% of the 190RBS’s 764 lb cargo capacity, leaving 330 lb. Across 13 Coachmen Apex Nano floorplans the water share runs 24% to 57%, and 1 gives up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Coachmen Apex Nano 183BH at 47% and Coachmen Apex Nano 194BHS at 57%. Your own unit’s figure is on the label inside its entry door (49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.3).
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Coachmen Apex Nano 194BHS, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 5 of the 8 fields both publish (this plan first): length 22 ft 7 in vs 22 ft 8 in; dry weight 3,936 lb vs 3,938 lb; cargo capacity 764 lb vs 762 lb; grey tank 35 gal vs 27 gal; black tank 35 gal vs 27 gal. They match on GVWR, hitch weight and fresh tank.
