01 What makes it unique
Keystone publishes three weights for the Bullet Classic 16BHC: a shipping weight of 3,010 lb, a carrying capacity of 990 lb and a hitch weight of 315 lb. Those are Keystone’s own terms, and this page keeps them. Keystone does not call the first figure dry or unloaded weight, does not say the hitch figure is measured dry, and publishes no GVWR for any Bullet Classic floorplan, so none of the three is renamed here and no loaded rating is worked out from them. The trailer’s own federal weight label, inside the door, is the document that carries its UVW, cargo capacity and GVWR.
Tank capacities are 21 gal fresh, 34 gal gray and 34 gal waste, as Keystone lists them. Fresh water weighs about 8.3 lb per US gallon, so a full fresh tank is roughly 174 lb on the road before anything else is loaded. The tire size Keystone lists is ST215/75R14D.
Against the 8 Bullet Classic floorplans profiled here, this one is the 2nd by Keystone’s shipping weight, in a range from 2,995 lb (16RBC) to 5,816 lb (28QBC). Every figure in that comparison comes from the same Keystone page type for the same model year, so the comparison inside the series is like for like.
Every number on this page was read on 19 Oct 2026 from Keystone’s own floorplan page for the Bullet Classic 16BHC. That page carries no model year, so the year comes from the roster page that links it, which lists the Bullet Classic floorplans under the heading “2027 Floorplans”. Keystone notes that its website reflects the most recent production run and that features and specifications change during the year.
How the 16BHC differs from the other seven Bullet Classic floorplans. Most distinctive first. Each rank counts only the siblings that publish that field, and a figure most of them share is left out.

- Hitch weight as a share of shipping weight, 10.5%: smallest of eight; next is the 16RBC (10.7%).
- Length, 20 ft 2 in: shortest of eight; next is the 16RBC (20 ft 5 in).
- Shipping weight (Keystone’s term), 3,010 lb: second-lightest of eight, between the 16RBC (2,995 lb) and the 19RDC (3,385 lb).
- Carrying capacity (Keystone’s term), 990 lb: second-smallest of eight, between the 19RDC (985 lb) and the 16RBC (1,005 lb).
- Exterior height, 10 ft 4 in: lowest of eight, level with the 16RBC and 19RDC; next are the 18RBC, 21BHC and two others (10 ft 9 in).
- Fresh tank, 21 gal: smallest of eight, level with the 16RBC and 19RDC; next are the 18RBC, 21BHC and three others (45 gal).
- Sleeping capacity, 6: shared with the 21BHC; of eight, four smaller and two larger, nearest the 16RBC, 18RBC and two others (4) and the 26BHC (8).
Next to the 16RBC, the nearest lighter floorplan by shipping weight, the 16BHC is 15 lb heavier by shipping weight, has 15 lb less carrying capacity, has a hitch weight 5 lb lighter, is 3 in shorter and sleeps two more; the two publish the same exterior height, fresh tank and grey tank.

04 Notes on this floorplan
What Keystone does not publish for the Bullet Classic
No GVWR, no unloaded (dry) weight under that name, no dry hitch weight and no exterior width appear on Keystone’s floorplan pages for this series, so those rows read as not published. Nothing is filled from a sibling floorplan, a different model year or a dealer listing.
Read the label on the trailer
Federal rules put a load-carrying label inside every RV trailer: its unloaded weight with full propane, its cargo carrying capacity and its GVWR (49 CFR 571.110 and 571.120). On a Bullet Classic those figures come from the trailer, not from this page, and they govern the towing decision.
05 How it compares
2,995 lb shipping weight against this plan’s 3,010 lb (Keystone’s figures, same series, same model year).
3,385 lb shipping weight and 985 lb carrying capacity, against this plan’s 3,010 lb and 990 lb.
07 Where this floorplan sits

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 20 recall campaigns and 27 owner complaints against the Bullet line. They are counted separately: a recall is a confirmed defect with a remedy, a complaint one owner’s unverified account.
What to look at on a used one. Across the 27 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are structure (19%), electrical system (15%) and suspension (15%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Bullet line page.
