01 What makes the 2025 37MDQS different
The Pinnacle 37MDQS is one of Jayco's Pinnacle coaches, the flagship of the Jayco towable lineup, above the North Point and Eagle fifth wheels. This page covers one model year of it — the 2025 37MDQS, exactly as Jayco published it — because the numbers that decide whether your truck can pull this trailer are not the same from one year to the next. Jayco publishes it at 8' 6" wide closed and 14' 6" with the slide-outs run out for the 2025 model year, which is the measurement that matters for a site pitch as well as for the road.
For the 2025 model year Jayco published a 18,400-pound GVWR on a 15,315-pound dry weight, 3,085 pounds of published cargo capacity, a 3,100-pound dry pin weight. Check the loaded pin against the truck's payload and rear-axle ratings rather than against the tow rating alone. The 2025 coach left the factory on 215/75R17.5'H' tyres; the load range in that code is part of the axle rating and a replacement set has to match it.
Against the 2024 build of the same floorplan, 5 published fields moved. The full comparison is in section 02, and it is drawn from two separate verified factory records rather than from one record and an assumption about the other.
A 2025 coach is close to current as of 2026, but section 05 still applies: check it against its build date rather than its model year. Jayco commonly builds a model year well before the calendar year turns, and the tyre date codes have to be read against the build month, not the badge.
How the 37MDQS differs from the other twelve Pinnacle floorplans. Most distinctive first. Sibling pages may cover other model years than this one (2020–2025). How these ranks are worked out.
- Exterior height, 12 ft 6 in: second-lowest of twelve, between the 38SSWS (12 ft 5 in) and the 32RLTS, 36FBTS and four others (12 ft 7 in).
- Dry pin weight as a share of dry weight, 20.2%: third-largest of thirteen, between the 39FBRL (20.1%) and the 38SSWS (21.9%).
- Cargo capacity, 3,085 lb: fourth-largest of twelve, between the 36KPTS (3,080 lb) and the 39FBRL (3,130 lb).
- Length, 41 ft 8 in: fourth-shortest of eight, between the 36KPTS (41 ft 1 in) and the 38SSWS (43 ft 2 in).
- Cargo capacity as a share of GVWR, 16.8%: fifth-largest of twelve, between the 39FBRL (16.7%) and the 32RLTS and 36KPTS (17.8%).
- Dry pin weight, 3,100 lb: fifth-heaviest of thirteen, between the 39FLOK (3,095 lb) and the 39FBRL (3,130 lb).
- Sleeping capacity, 8: largest of twelve, level with the 39DSDB; next are the 38FLGS and 39FLOK (6).
- GVWR, 18,400 lb: sixth-highest of thirteen, between the 38FBRK (18,200 lb) and the 38FLGS (18,500 lb).
- Dry weight, 15,315 lb: seventh-lightest of thirteen, between the 36SSWS (14,735 lb) and the 38SSWS (15,415 lb).
- Black tank, 50 gal: shared with the 32RLTS, 36KPTS and three others; of thirteen, one smaller and six larger, nearest the 38FLWS (37 gal) and the 38FLGS and 39FLOK (74 gal).
Next to the 36SSWS (2020–2024 page), the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 37MDQS is 580 lb heavier by dry weight, has a GVWR 750 lb higher, has 170 lb more cargo capacity, has a dry pin weight 185 lb heavier, is 1 ft 8 in longer, stands 1 in lower and sleeps four more; the two publish the same interior height, fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.
Next to the 38SSWS (2025–2027 page), the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 37MDQS is 100 lb lighter by dry weight, has a GVWR 300 lb lower, has a dry pin weight 270 lb lighter, is 1 ft 6 in shorter, stands 1 in taller and sleeps four more; the two publish the same fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.
Specifications by model year
This floorplan has a published factory record for 6 model years here, 2020 to 2025. The specification does not hold still: GVWR runs from 16,995 lb (2020) to 18,400 lb (2025); dry weight runs from 14,250 lb (2020) to 15,315 lb (2025); dry pin weight runs from 2,885 lb (2023) to 3,370 lb (2022). The published tire size changes over the run (ST255/85R16'E', then 215/75R17.5'H'). The published sleeping capacity changes across the years: 6 - 8 in 2020, 6-8 in 2021, 5-7 in 2022, up to 10 in 2023, up to 8 in 2024–2025. Each year’s complete record is printed separately below, carrying only that year’s own published figures and source. Nothing is copied across from a neighbouring year.
| Model year | Dry (UVW) | GVWR | Cargo (CCC) | Dry pin | Length | Sleeps | Tire size |

Every row is that model year’s own record from Jayco’s model page or factory brochure for that year, as the source line for each year names. The figures in the tow-critical placard at the top of this page are the 2025 record from the source this catalogue originally profiled. On the weights, overall length and tire size, that record and Jayco’s own 2025 model page agree on every field both of them publish. Exterior height is not compared: Jayco publishes a bare height, a with-A/C height and a with-2nd-A/C height, and the single height row carried here cannot be matched to one of them, so no claim is made either way.

What changed for the 2020 model year
2020 is the earliest model year of the 37MDQS on this site, so there is no earlier record to set it against. Section 01 compares it with 2021.
Source for 2020. Specifications reflect the 2020 model year as published by Jayco on its own 2020 factory brochure for this product line (Jayco’s 2020 brochure itself notes: “Some specs at the time of print may include estimates.”), and are dry factory figures for a base unit. Options, dealer-installed equipment and cargo all add weight. A fifth wheel puts its pin load through the tow vehicle's rear axle, so the loaded pin must be checked against the truck's payload, rear-axle and hitch ratings, not against its tow rating. Dry weight plus cargo capacity ties out exactly to the published GVWR for this model year. CamperTrailers.com publishes verified manufacturer data and is not affiliated with Jayco, Inc.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (18,400 lb) and the upper loaded pin estimate (4,600 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 15–25% of GVWR on the pin, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433). The range starts at the published dry figure, because loaded is never lighter than dry.

GVWR changed for 2025
GVWR was 17,900 for 2024 and is 18,400 for 2025 (+500 lb). Both figures are the manufacturer's own for their year.
Dry pin weight changed for 2025
Dry pin weight was 3,020 for 2024 and is 3,100 for 2025 (+80 lb). Both figures are the manufacturer's own for their year.
Where these numbers come from
Every figure on this page is read from Jayco's own 2025 model page for the 37MDQS — one source, one model year, no blending. The all-years parent page sets this year beside every other model year we hold, and where the record this catalogue originally profiled disagrees with Jayco's own model page, both figures are published there and neither is adjusted.
Fields Jayco does not publish for 2025
For this model year the factory record omits: Propane Unit (lbs) (Optional), Water Heater, Furnace, Auto-ignition (BTU output). Those rows read “Not published” on this page. They are deliberately not filled in from an adjacent model year — a neighbouring year's figure is an inference about this one, not a measurement of it.
04 Buying a 2025 37MDQS at 1 model years old
Tyres are the first thing to age out
RV tyres are usually replaced on age rather than tread, at roughly five to seven years from the DOT date code on the sidewall. On a 1-year-old coach the originals (215/75R17.5'H') may still be fitted — read the four-digit date code, not the tread.
Roof and seam sealant is on a service interval
Laminated-wall fifth wheels rely on sealant at every roof penetration and along the front cap. Inspection is typically annual and re-sealing every few years; ask for the service records rather than assuming.
Weigh it before you tow it
Every weight on this page is a DRY factory figure for the 2025 model year. A used coach carries its previous owner's additions, and a fifth wheel puts roughly 15-25% of the load through the truck's rear axle. Weigh the loaded rig at a public scale and check it against the truck's payload, rear-axle and hitch ratings.
