The 38SSWS is a rear-living Pinnacle built around a spacious walk-in shower and a rear living area, with a walk-around kitchen island amidships and a king bedroom up front. At 43 feet on three slide-outs it is one of the longer rear-living plans in the line, sleeping four. The equipment is the standard Pinnacle package — a GE 21-cubic-foot 12-volt residential refrigerator, a GE Profile 24-inch range and 30-inch convection microwave, solid-surface counters and a fireplace — on the 102-inch wide-body chassis with Dexter axles, six-point hydraulic auto-leveling and a MORryde LRE-4000 suspension.

Jayco publishes an 18,700-pound GVWR against the 15,415-pound dry weight, with a factory cargo capacity of 3,350 pounds and a 3,370-pound dry pin. (The factory CCC does not reconcile with the GVWR minus dry weight, which works out to 3,285 pounds, a 65-pound difference — it is flagged in the specifications below; the GVWR and dry weight are shown as published.) Two 15,000-BTU Whisper Quiet air conditioners, a 40,000-BTU furnace, an on-demand tankless water heater, the Overlander II solar package and 75/87/50-gallon fresh/grey/black tanks are standard. At a starting MSRP around $137,000, with street pricing below placard, the 38SSWS is the rear-living Pinnacle for buyers who want a large walk-in shower in a longer luxury coach, towed with a one-ton truck.

This floorplan has a verified factory record for 3 model years here, 2025 to 2027, and the specification does not hold still. Across those years dry weight ranges from 15,290 lb in 2025 to 15,625 lb in 2027, a spread of 335 lb. The factory tire size changes over the run (215/75R17.5'H' then ST215/75R17.5'H'), and the load-range letter in that code is part of the axle rating. This floorplan carries its water comfortably. A full 75-gallon fresh tank is roughly 19% of the 3,350-pound cargo capacity, leaving the 38SSWS with a usable gear budget even when you tow full.

The published dry pin weight of 3,370 pounds is 22% of this floorplan’s 15,415-pound dry weight. Fifth-wheel pin weight rides in the bed of the truck, so it comes off payload rather than off tow rating — and it rises with the trailer as you load it, not in proportion to what you put over the axles.
