01 What makes it unique

The 310GK is where the Solitude line starts, and the plan that opens the brand’s extended-stay luxury to the broadest range of trucks. At about 12,100 pounds dry it is the lightest coach in the line, yet it still carries the full Solitude build: the drop-frame 101-inch widebody chassis, a MORryde pin box, 8,000-pound axles, a walk-on TPO roof and the fully enclosed, heated underbelly. The layout is rear-kitchen, with a tri-fold hide-a-bed sofa, theater seating, a kitchen island and an outside kitchen for the campsite.

Its numbers make it the easiest Solitude to tow. RVUSA lists a published 19,000-pound GVWR against the 12,100-pound dry weight, which leaves an unusually large 6,900-pound payload — the most of any plan in the line — and a 2,350-pound dry pin, the lowest of the profiled plans. A single 30,000-BTU air-conditioning system, a 35,000-BTU furnace, a 20-cubic-foot 12-volt residential refrigerator and the standard 330-watt roof solar package come standard, with three slide-outs and two awnings.

At an MSRP of $141,620 it is the most accessible Solitude, and dealers discount it heavily — street prices well under the placard are common. For a couple who wants Grand Design’s flagship build and a rear kitchen without the length, weight or pin of the big full-timer plans, the 310GK is the line’s natural entry.

Solitude is Grand Design's flagship extended-stay fifth wheel and one of the best-selling luxury fifth wheels in North America. The full line runs to ten floorplans for 2026; eight are profiled here and two more are catalogued above. Every plan rides on the same drop-frame 101-inch widebody chassis with a MORryde pin box, 8,000-pound axles and a fully enclosed heated underbelly, and ships with a 330-watt roof solar package, a 20-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator and an on-demand water heater with whole-house filtration as standard. Body specifications (lengths, heights, payload, tanks, sleeping, slides and awnings) are RVUSA-verified against the 2026 structured spec records, each page fp-slug and title checked; dry weight, GVWR, payload and pin weight are published per plan, and each plan's dry weight plus payload equals its GVWR exactly. Real loaded pin weights run higher — always weigh the loaded coach and confirm against your truck's payload and rear-axle ratings.
