01 What makes it unique
The Access 26BH is the plan the value line is built around: a private front queen bedroom, generous slide-out seating that converts for sleeping, a full galley, rear bunks for the kids, and a real exterior kitchen with a pull-out refrigerator and a griddle. It sleeps six, and at an MSRP under $30,000 it is the least-expensive tandem Access.
It rides the tandem package — NXG engineered steel frame, Tuff-Coat metal exterior, one-piece TPO roof, enclosed radiant-foil underbelly, tandem 4,400-pound axles on 15-inch Load Range E tires, a 13,500-BTU ducted air conditioner, a 30,000-BTU furnace, a 60,000-BTU tankless water heater and a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, with a 60-gallon fresh tank. Dry weight plus payload equals the 8,800-pound GVWR exactly.
Here is the 26BH's quiet superpower: at 5,700 pounds dry it is the lightest tandem Access, so against the shared 8,800-pound GVWR it carries 3,100 pounds of payload — the most of any plan in the line, exactly where a family of six needs it. A 698-pound tongue keeps it behind any properly equipped half-ton. For the most trailer, the most payload and the outdoor kitchen at the lowest tandem price, the 26BH is the obvious value family pick.

The Access splits into two build classes. The four single-axle plans (15- and 18-series) are rated to a 5,100-pound GVWR on one 5,100-pound axle, with an 8,000-BTU roof A/C, an 18,000-BTU furnace and a 6-gallon DSI water heater. The ten tandem plans carry an 8,800-pound GVWR on 4,400-pound axles — the 32BR uniquely on 5,200-pound axles for 10,400 pounds — and add a 13,500-BTU ducted A/C, a 30,000-BTU furnace, a 60,000-BTU tankless water heater, a 10-cubic-foot refrigerator and a 2-inch accessory receiver. On every plan the published dry weight plus payload equals the GVWR exactly. Figures are RVUSA structured records cross-checked against Winnebago's factory specification table; tongue weights, awning lengths, axle ratings and dual-grey-tank capacities are factory figures. Always confirm against the unit's weight sticker before towing.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Biggest payload in the line
5,700 lb dry against the 8,800-lb GVWR leaves 3,100 lb of cargo — the most of any Access, and the number a family cares about most.
Lowest tandem price
At an MSRP under $30,000 the 26BH undercuts every other tandem plan — the value family bunkhouse.
A full outdoor kitchen
A pull-out exterior fridge and a griddle move breakfast outside — shared only with the 30BH.
The best value in the range
Most payload, outdoor kitchen, lowest tandem MSRP — the 26BH is the plan to beat on value.
05 How it compares
The big-family bunkhouse — a private rear bunk room and bath, sleeping seven, with the outdoor kitchen.
The max-sleeper — a private front bedroom and rear double-over-double bunks for eight.
The volume family-lightweight rivals — compare payload margins, bunk sizes and outdoor kitchens.
