01 What makes it unique
The Jay Feather 29QBH is one of the largest floorplans in the line and built for a full house. Triple bunks handle the kids, a private front queen gives the parents a real bedroom, a spacious full bath sits across the rear, and an outdoor kitchen moves cooking and cleanup outside — a 36-foot layout that sleeps up to ten while keeping Jay Feather’s residential finish. A single large slide opens the main living area, and the exterior storage and outside kitchen make it a genuine basecamp for week-plus family trips.
The build is the full Jay Feather platform stretched to its largest form — an American-made Norco® Z-frame with integrated A-frame, a vacuum-bonded Stronghold VBL™ laminated floor, the Magnum Truss™ roof and an aluminum-framed rounded front. An 8,995-pound GVWR on a 7,295-pound dry weight leaves 1,700 pounds of payload — the most of the profiled Feathers — and the 55-gallon fresh with a 61-gallon gray supports an extended stay for a crowd. An 11 cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator and the residential finish carry over from the rest of the line.
It sleeps ten and tows with a properly equipped half-ton-plus, near an MSRP of $52,000 before the usual dealer discounting. For a large family who want triple bunks, a private bedroom, a full rear bath and outdoor cooking in the lightest build that offers them, the 29QBH is a family flagship in the Jay Feather range.

03 Jay Feather floorplan family
Jay Feather is Jayco's lightweight step-up travel trailer — a notch above the value Jay Flight SLX, built on an American-made Norco® Z-frame with vacuum-bonded laminated walls, an 11 cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator and residential touches. The 2026 line runs nineteen floorplans from compact Murphy-bed couples' trailers up to 36-foot family bunkhouses. Most Jay Feather floorplans carry a single slide and an optional king bed in place of the standard 60×80 queen; several add an outdoor camp kitchen. Jay Feather replaced the discontinued White Hawk in Jayco's range for 2025, absorbing its more-featured positioning. Additional floorplans (front-kitchen, rear-living, and bunk layouts) are documented on the line hub. Always confirm equipment and weights against the unit's own weight sticker.
04 What owners & reviewers report
Triple bunks plus a private queen
Three bunks for the kids and a separate front queen for the parents — the 29QBH sleeps up to ten while keeping a real adult bedroom.
Full rear bath and outside kitchen
A spacious rear bathroom and an exterior camp kitchen make it a true week-plus family basecamp — cooking and cleanup move outside the galley.
Most payload, longest in the line
1,700 lb of payload on an 8,995-lb GVWR is the highest of the profiled Feathers, in the line’s longest 36-foot body — room for everything a big family brings.
Big trailer, capable tow vehicle
At 36 feet and 7,295 lb dry it needs a properly equipped half-ton-plus and a full-size site — not a casual-weekend rig.
05 How it compares
Shorter and lighter, sleeps ten with double bunks and dual entry — easier to tow and place if the triple bunks and rear bath aren’t needed.
A similar-length double-bunk bunkhouse with an outside kitchen — fewer bunks and a different bath arrangement at a slightly lower price.
Jayco’s premium half-ton bunkhouse — heavier and more residential at a higher price.
