01 What makes the 2027 175BH different
The Jay Flight 175BH is one of Jayco's Jay Flight travel trailers, the mass-market nameplate and the volume seller in Jayco's towable range. This page covers one model year of it — the 2027 175BH, exactly as Jayco published it — because the numbers that decide whether your truck can pull this trailer are not the same from one year to the next.
For the 2027 model year Jayco published a 4,600-pound GVWR on a 3,285-pound dry weight, 1,315 pounds of published cargo capacity, a 340-pound dry tongue weight. That dry tongue is 10% of the dry weight, inside the 10–15% band conventionally quoted for a bumper-pull trailer. Tongue weight is not fixed — it moves with how the trailer is loaded, and weight added ahead of the axles raises it. A tongue load in that range wants a weight-distribution hitch, and the tow vehicle's tongue-weight limit is a separate number from its trailer-weight limit — check the loaded tongue against the hitch receiver's rating and the vehicle's payload, not against the tow rating alone. The 2027 trailer left the factory on ST225/75R15'E' tyres; the load range in that code is part of the axle rating and a replacement set has to match it.
Against the 2026 build of the same floorplan, 5 published fields moved. The full comparison is in section 02, and it is drawn from two separate verified factory records rather than from one record and an assumption about the other.
A 2027 trailer is close to current as of 2026, but section 05 still applies: check it against its build date rather than its model year. Jayco commonly builds a model year well before the calendar year turns, and the tyre date codes have to be read against the build month, not the badge.
How the 175BH differs from the other 122 Jay Flight floorplans. Most distinctive first. Sibling pages may cover other model years than this one (2025–2027). How these ranks are worked out.

Specifications by model year
This floorplan has a published factory record for 3 model years here, 2025 to 2027. The specification does not hold still: dry weight runs from 3,245 lb (2026) to 3,315 lb (2025); dry tongue weight runs from 305 lb (2025) to 340 lb (2027). The published sleeping capacity changes across the years: up to 5 in 2025, up to 6 in 2026–2027. Each year’s complete record is printed separately below, carrying only that year’s own published figures and source. Nothing is copied across from a neighbouring year.
| Model year | Dry (UVW) | GVWR | Cargo (CCC) | Dry tongue | Length | Sleeps | Tire size |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 3,315 | 4,600 | 1,285 | 305 | 22' 1" | up to 5 | ST225/75R15'E' |
| 2026 | 3,245 | 4,600 | 1,355 | 335 | 22' 1" | up to 6 | ST225/75R15'E' |
| 2027 | 3,285 | 4,600 | 1,315 | 340 | 22' 3" | up to 6 | ST225/75R15'E' |
Every row is that model year’s own record from Jayco’s model page for that year. Jayco titles its 2026 model page for this floorplan Jay Flight SLX 175BH. The figures in the tow-critical placard at the top of this page are the 2027 record from the source this catalogue originally profiled. On the weights, overall length and tire size, that record and Jayco’s own 2027 model page agree on every field both of them publish. Exterior height is not compared: Jayco publishes a bare height, a with-A/C height and a with-2nd-A/C height, and the single height row carried here cannot be matched to one of them, so no claim is made either way.

What changed for the 2025 model year
2025 is the earliest model year of the 175BH on this site, so there is no earlier record to set it against. Section 01 compares it with 2026.

2027 175BH 3,285 lb dry · 4,600 lb GVWR
Published figure flagged, printed not corrected. Jayco's 2027 jayco.com model page prints an exterior height of 6′ 6″ for the 2027 model year of this floorplan, and an interior height of 6′ 6″. A trailer cannot be no taller outside than it is inside: the floor, chassis and roof sit between the two. The same record prints 10′ 4″ as the exterior height with the air conditioner. We re-read the source and 6′ 6″ is the figure it prints as the exterior height. Measure the actual trailer before relying on its height for a bridge, garage or carport clearance. This site does not guess what the figure should have been. It is shown as published, listed on the published-figure conflicts page, and left out of the site’s height ranges and medians. Anything on this page worked out from it carries the same problem.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (4,600 lb) and the upper loaded tongue estimate (690 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 10–15% of GVWR on the tongue, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433).
03 What changed for the 2027 model year
Jayco changed 5 of the published fields between the 2026 and 2027 175BH. Every figure in both columns is that model year's own factory record — nothing here is carried across from the other year.
| Field | 2026 | 2027 | Change |

| 2027 | 3,285 | 4,600 | 340 | 6 | ST225/75R15'E' |
Every row is that model year's own factory record, and each year links to its own page. The fuller table at the top of this page adds cargo capacity and names any model year that is deliberately not published here.
Dry tongue weight changed for 2027
Dry tongue weight was 335 for 2026 and is 340 for 2027 (+5 lb). Both figures are the manufacturer's own for their year.
Where these numbers come from
Every figure on this page is read from Jayco's own 2027 model page for the 175BH — one source, one model year, no blending. The all-years parent page sets this year beside every other model year we hold, and where the record this catalogue originally profiled disagrees with Jayco's own model page, both figures are published there and neither is adjusted.
Fields Jayco does not publish for 2027
For this model year the factory record omits: Exterior Width (with slides out), Propane Unit (lbs) (Optional), Furnace, Auto-ignition (BTU output). Those rows read “Not published” on this page. They are deliberately not filled in from an adjacent model year — a neighbouring year's figure is an inference about this one, not a measurement of it.
04 Buying a 2027 175BH today
Still in warranty
A current-model-year trailer is normally inside Jayco's structural and component warranties. Get the delivery PDI paperwork and confirm the warranty start date is the date of sale, not the date of build.
Check the build date, not the model year
Model-year 2027 units can be built well before the calendar year turns. The federal certification label inside the entry door carries the real month of manufacture, and it is what the tyre date codes should be read against.
Weigh it before you tow it
Every weight on this page is a DRY factory figure for the 2027 model year. A used trailer carries its previous owner's additions, and a travel trailer puts its tongue load on the tow vehicle's hitch and through its rear axle. Weigh the loaded rig at a public scale and check it against the tow vehicle's payload, rear-axle and hitch ratings.
05 How it compares — and to its other years
The same floorplan one model year earlier, with its own published weights.
Every Jay Flight floorplan this catalogue holds a verified factory record for, with its own published weights.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 30-gallon fresh tank is about 249 lb of water (water counts as cargo: 49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.2), 19% of the 175BH’s 1,315 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,066 lb (178 lb per rated berth). Across 123 Jay Flight floorplans the water share runs 13% to 47%, and 117 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Jay Flight 175BHW at 19% and Jay Flight 175FQW at 19%. Your own unit’s figure is on the label inside its entry door (49 CFR 571.110 S9.3.3).
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Jay Flight 175BHW, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 3 of the 9 fields both publish (this plan first): dry weight 3,285 lb vs 3,260 lb; cargo capacity 1,315 lb vs 1,340 lb; hitch weight 340 lb vs 345 lb. They match on length, sleeps, GVWR, fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.
