01 What makes the 2025 267BHS different
The Jay Flight 267BHS is one of Jayco's Jay Flight travel trailers, the mass-market nameplate and the volume seller in Jayco's towable range. This page covers one model year of it — the 2025 267BHS, exactly as Jayco published it — because the numbers that decide whether your truck can pull this trailer are not the same from one year to the next. Jayco publishes it at 8' 0" wide closed and 11' 0" with the slide-outs run out for the 2025 model year, which is the measurement that matters for a site pitch as well as for the road.
For the 2025 model year Jayco published a 7,600-pound GVWR on a 6,075-pound dry weight, 1,525 pounds of published cargo capacity, a 770-pound dry tongue weight. That dry tongue is 13% of the dry weight, inside the 10–15% band conventionally quoted for a bumper-pull trailer. Tongue weight is not fixed — it moves with how the trailer is loaded, and weight added ahead of the axles raises it. A tongue load in that range wants a weight-distribution hitch, and the tow vehicle's tongue-weight limit is a separate number from its trailer-weight limit — check the loaded tongue against the hitch receiver's rating and the vehicle's payload, not against the tow rating alone. The 2025 trailer left the factory on ST205/75R14'D' tyres; the load range in that code is part of the axle rating and a replacement set has to match it.
Against the 2024 build of the same floorplan, 5 published fields moved. The full comparison is in section 02, and it is drawn from two separate verified factory records rather than from one record and an assumption about the other.
A 2025 trailer is close to current as of 2026, but section 05 still applies: check it against its build date rather than its model year. Jayco commonly builds a model year well before the calendar year turns, and the tyre date codes have to be read against the build month, not the badge.
How the 267BHS differs from the other 122 Jay Flight floorplans. Most distinctive first. Sibling pages may cover other model years than this one (2021–2025). How these ranks are worked out.

Specifications by model year
This floorplan has a published factory record for 5 model years here, 2021 to 2025. The specification does not hold still: GVWR runs from 7,000 lb (2021) to 7,600 lb (2025); dry weight runs from 5,770 lb (2022) to 6,075 lb (2025); dry tongue weight runs from 680 lb (2022) to 775 lb (2023). The published sleeping capacity changes across the years: 8-10 in 2021–2022, up to 10 in 2023–2025. Each year’s complete record is printed separately below, carrying only that year’s own published figures and source. Nothing is copied across from a neighbouring year.

Every row is that model year’s own record from Jayco’s model page or factory brochure for that year, as the source line for each year names. The figures in the tow-critical placard at the top of this page are the 2025 record from the source this catalogue originally profiled. On the weights, overall length and tire size, that record and Jayco’s own 2025 model page agree on every field both of them publish. Exterior height is not compared: Jayco publishes a bare height, a with-A/C height and a with-2nd-A/C height, and the single height row carried here cannot be matched to one of them, so no claim is made either way.

What changed for the 2021 model year
2021 is the earliest model year of the 267BHS on this site, so there is no earlier record to set it against. Section 01 compares it with 2022.
Source for 2021. Specifications reflect the 2021 model year as published by Jayco on its own 2021 factory brochure for this product line, and are dry factory figures for a base unit. Options, dealer-installed equipment and cargo all add weight. A travel trailer puts its tongue load on the tow vehicle's hitch and through its rear axle, so the loaded tongue must be checked against the receiver's rating and the vehicle's payload, not against its tow rating. Dry weight plus cargo capacity ties out exactly to the published GVWR for this model year. CamperTrailers.com publishes verified manufacturer data and is not affiliated with Jayco, Inc.

Published for one of the two years only: width with slides out (2023: 11' 0"); exterior height (2023: 10' 6"); tire size (2023: ST205/75R14'D'); propane (2023: 40 lbs); optional propane (2023: 60 lbs); water heater (2023: Tankless); furnace output (2023: 25000 BTU); auto-ignition furnace (2023: 25000 BTU); outside storage compartments (2023: 2). The 2022 figures come from the 2022 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 8 factory brochure (RVUSA brochure library) and the 2023 figures from Jayco's own 2023 model page for this floorplan; the two kinds of document do not carry the same columns, so a field in only one of them is not a change to the trailer.
Source for 2023. Specifications reflect the 2023 model year as published by Jayco on its own 2023 model page for this floorplan, and are dry factory figures for a base unit. Options, dealer-installed equipment and cargo all add weight. A travel trailer puts its tongue load on the tow vehicle's hitch and through its rear axle, so the loaded tongue must be checked against the receiver's rating and the vehicle's payload, not against its tow rating. Published-figure conflict, stated not resolved: for 2023 Jayco's own dry weight (5,880 lb) plus its own cargo capacity (1,120 lb) comes to 7,000 lb against a published GVWR of 7,100 lb — -100 lb. Both numbers are the manufacturer's. This page publishes the conflict rather than adjusting either figure. CamperTrailers.com publishes verified manufacturer data and is not affiliated with Jayco, Inc. Jayco’s own published figures for the 2023 267BHS do not reconcile. Its 2023 model page lists an unloaded vehicle weight of 5,880 lb and a cargo carrying capacity of 1,120 lb, which add to 7,000 lb, against a published GVWR of 7,100 lb on the same page — a disagreement of 100 lb. All three are reproduced exactly as Jayco published them and none has been adjusted to make the arithmetic work. Under this site’s rule for published figures that do not reconcile, a gap of 100 lb or less is published in full rather than withheld, and is disclosed rather than quietly rounded away. The weight label and VIN placard on the trailer itself govern, not this page and not the model page — weigh the loaded trailer before towing it.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (7,600 lb) and the upper loaded tongue estimate (1,140 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 10–15% of GVWR on the tongue, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433). The range starts at the published dry figure, because loaded is never lighter than dry.
03 What changed for the 2025 model year
Jayco changed 5 of the published fields between the 2024 and 2025 267BHS. Every figure in both columns is that model year's own factory record — nothing here is carried across from the other year.

2023 figures for the 267BHS: Jayco’s own numbers do not agree
Jayco’s 2023 model page prints an unloaded vehicle weight of 5,880 lb, a cargo carrying capacity of 1,120 lb and a GVWR of 7,100 lb for the 267BHS. Unloaded weight plus cargo capacity comes to 7,000 lb, which is 100 lb less than that GVWR. Under this site’s rule for published figures that do not reconcile, a gap of 100 lb or less is published in full: the 2023 row in the table above carries all three figures exactly as printed, none adjusted, and the 2023 page sets out the arithmetic. The weight label and VIN placard on the trailer itself govern, not the model page and not this catalogue.
GVWR changed for 2025
GVWR was 7,100 for 2024 and is 7,600 for 2025 (+500 lb). Both figures are the manufacturer's own for their year.
Dry tongue weight changed for 2025
Dry tongue weight was 760 for 2024 and is 770 for 2025 (+10 lb). Both figures are the manufacturer's own for their year.
Where these numbers come from
Every figure on this page is read from Jayco's own 2025 model page for the 267BHS — one source, one model year, no blending. The all-years parent page sets this year beside every other model year we hold, and where the record this catalogue originally profiled disagrees with Jayco's own model page, both figures are published there and neither is adjusted.
Fields Jayco does not publish for 2025
For this model year the factory record omits: Furnace, Auto-ignition (BTU output). Those rows read “Not published” on this page. They are deliberately not filled in from an adjacent model year — a neighbouring year's figure is an inference about this one, not a measurement of it.
04 Buying a 2025 267BHS at 1 model years old
Tyres are the first thing to age out
RV tyres are usually replaced on age rather than tread, at roughly five to seven years from the DOT date code on the sidewall. On a 1-year-old trailer the originals (ST205/75R14'D') may still be fitted — read the four-digit date code, not the tread.
Roof and seam sealant is on a service interval
Travel trailers rely on sealant at every roof penetration, along the front cap and around every window and marker light. Inspection is typically annual and re-sealing every few years; ask for the service records rather than assuming.
Weigh it before you tow it
Every weight on this page is a DRY factory figure for the 2025 model year. A used trailer carries its previous owner's additions, and a travel trailer puts its tongue load on the tow vehicle's hitch and through its rear axle. Weigh the loaded rig at a public scale and check it against the tow vehicle's payload, rear-axle and hitch ratings.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 25 recall campaigns and 75 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Jay Flight line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
What to look at on a used one. Across the 75 complaints filed on this line the most-reported components are equipment (43%), unknown or other (13%) and electrical system (11%).
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Jay Flight line page.
