01 What makes it unique

The Micro Minnie 2108DS rounds out the 2108-series slide trio with a Murphy bed. Where the 2108FBS carries a fixed front bed and the 2108TB a twin-to-king arrangement, the 2108DS puts a Murphy bed up front that folds up against the wall over a sofa — so by day the front of the trailer becomes a sitting area, and by night it is a bedroom. A slide-out carries the dinette to open the daytime floor, the galley runs down one side, and the rear bath is the most generous of the trio, adding a full wardrobe.

The build is the standard Micro Minnie recipe — NXG engineered steel frame, 1.5-inch FilonMax fiberglass over Azdel composite, one-piece walkable TPO roof, Dexter TORFLEX torsion axles and an enclosed heated underbelly — with the line's 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, 13,500-BTU air conditioner and 60,000-BTU tankless water heater. The 31-gallon fresh tank with 25/25 gray and black tanks carries over, and the dinette converts to an optional EZ Glide Sofa Sleeper for a guest.

It comes at a cost in mass: at 4,291 pounds dry the 2108DS is the heaviest floorplan in the entire Micro Minnie line, and at 1,209 pounds of payload it has the least cargo headroom of any plan — the Murphy hardware, the slide and the full-wardrobe bath all add weight. But for a couple who want the Murphy bed's dual-mode floor and the roomiest rear bath the 2108 shell offers, the 2108DS is the pick, at a starting MSRP in the mid-$40,000s. One labeling note: RVUSA catalogs this floorplan as the 2180DS, a digit transposition of the factory's 2108DS code.

03 Micro Minnie floorplan family

Winnebago's Micro Minnie line — a thirteen-floorplan range of genuinely light, 7-foot-wide travel trailers built to slip down narrow trails and tuck into tight sites, every one of them rated to a 5,500-pound GVWR. The 2108DS on this page is highlighted; each profiled plan links to its own page, and the remaining layouts are catalogued on the line hub.

Every Micro Minnie shares the same 5,500-pound GVWR, 7-foot exterior width (the 2000MRB is the wide-body exception at 7′8″), 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, 13,500-BTU air conditioner and tandem 3,000-pound torsion axles — floorplans differ in length, bed layout and whether they carry a slide. Dry weights lead with the RVUSA structured records; Winnebago's 2026 brochure lists a slightly heavier dry weight on the carryover plans, noted on each page. Always confirm against the unit's weight sticker before towing.

04 What owners & reviewers report

Murphy bed, two living modes

The front Murphy bed folds up over a sofa to free the front of the trailer by day — the flexibility a slide buys, on top of the slide itself.

The roomiest 2108 bath

The 2108DS rear bath adds a full wardrobe the front-bed 2108FBS and twin 2108TB don't carry — useful storage for longer trips.

Completes the 2108 trio

Front-bed (2108FBS), twin-to-king (2108TB) or Murphy (2108DS): the three share a shell and a slide, and differ only in how the front sleeps.

Heaviest Micro Minnie, tightest payload — and a code quirk

At 4,291 lb dry the 2108DS is the heaviest plan in the line and, at 1,209 lb of payload, the most cargo-limited; load deliberately and weigh the rig. RVUSA also lists this floorplan as the 2180DS, a transposition of the factory 2108DS code.
