01 What makes it unique
The 289PANO is new for 2026 and Arctic Wolf’s panoramic rear-living couple’s plan. It pairs a private front bedroom with a mid bath and a mid kitchen, opening to a rear living room with dual opposing slide-outs, a rear entertainment wall and a living-room Televator television, all washed in light from panoramic windows. It sleeps four. Distinctively for the line, a second 15,000-BTU air conditioner is standard rather than optional. It rides the full Arctic Wolf build: a 2-inch full-cage aluminum frame, laminated exterior walls under the Elemental Protection Package, an enclosed heated underbelly and automatic leveling.
Forest River publishes a 9,348-pound UVW and a 2,622-pound CCC, which derive an 11,970-pound GVWR (the manufacturer’s own definition is that CCC equals GVWR minus UVW), against a 1,770-pound dry pin. Twin 15,000-BTU air conditioners, a 35,000-BTU furnace, a 5,200-BTU electric fireplace, a tankless water heater, a 10-cubic-foot 12-volt refrigerator, solid-surface counters and an 81-gallon Niagara fresh tank are standard, with a mandatory 100-watt Juice Pack solar package (expandable to 500 watts), a Series 27 battery and a 30-amp charge controller, under a 15-foot power awning.
US street pricing has run in the high $50,000s to around $60,000 (one dealer published an MSRP near $93,905, with street pricing far below placard). It is the newer, fully-cooled couple’s Arctic Wolf. For a couple who wants a panoramic rear living room with dual opposing slides, a mid kitchen and a second air conditioner standard in a value-mid full-size fifth wheel — towed behind a properly rated three-quarter-ton or larger truck — the 289PANO is the line’s newest couple’s plan.

03 The Arctic Wolf floorplan family
Arctic Wolf is Forest River's value-mid full-size fifth wheel — a step below the brand's own premium-mainstream sibling Sandpiper, and the value entry to Forest River full-size fifth-wheel ownership. Six of the most distinct 2026 floorplans are profiled here in full. The 289PANO on this page is highlighted; each other plan links to its own page.

Arctic Wolf is Forest River's value-mid full-size fifth wheel — a step below the brand's own premium-mainstream sibling Sandpiper, and the value entry to Forest River full-size fifth-wheel ownership. Six of the most distinct 2026 floorplans are profiled here in full; the remaining catalogued retail plans (285OPT, 387ML, 3650SUITE, 3750SUITE, 38DST, 3950SUITE) and one Dealer Stock Only plan (the rear-deck 3800DECK) are listed on the hub but not profiled. Every plan is built on a 2-inch full-cage aluminum frame with laminated exterior walls under the Elemental Protection Package, an enclosed and heated underbelly with 12-volt tank heat pads, automatic leveling, a 50-amp service, a tankless water heater, a 35,000-BTU furnace, a 5,200-BTU electric fireplace, a 15,000-BTU central air conditioner, solid-surface counters, an 81-gallon Niagara fresh tank line-wide and a mandatory 100-watt Juice Pack solar package (expandable to 500 watts) with a Series 27 battery and a 30-amp charge controller as standard. Hitch weight, UVW and CCC are published per plan on the Forest River factory page; GVWR is derived as UVW plus CCC per the manufacturer's own definition. The numeric per-axle GAWR is not separately published for Arctic Wolf (the line splits between 7,000-lb and 8,000-lb tandem axle groups by plan). UVW is a factory estimated average; real loaded pin weights run higher — always weigh the loaded coach and confirm against your truck's payload and rear-axle ratings.
04 What owners & reviewers report
New for 2026, panoramic rear living
A new-for-2026 plan with a rear living room opened by dual opposing slides, a rear entertainment wall and panoramic windows — a couple’s coach built around the view.
Second air conditioner standard
Twin 15,000-BTU air conditioners ship standard rather than as an option — fully cooled out of the box, a step above most plans in the line.
Living-room Televator television
A Televator television in the rear living room that lowers into a cabinet — a clean residential touch in a value-mid coach.
Listing discrepancy on dry weight
At least one dealer listing printed a "dry 1,770" figure, which is the pin weight mis-mapped into the dry field; the factory UVW is 9,348 pounds. Confirm the weight sticker on the specific unit.
05 How it compares
The lighter, shorter rear-living plan — the line’s entry couple’s coach and the only Arctic Wolf under a 10,000-lb GVWR.
The up-equipped rear-living suite — a king bed slide, a 16-cubic-foot refrigerator and theater seating at a higher price.
Forest River’s premium-mainstream full-size fifth wheel a tier above — a richer construction and equipment package at a higher price.
