01 What makes it unique
Alliance RV’s 2026 Avenue brochure prints a dry weight of 9,650 lb and a GVWR of 11,895 lb for the 29RL, with a pin weight of 1,500 lb. The brochure prints no cargo carrying capacity, so none is shown here, and none is worked out by subtracting one published figure from the other. The trailer’s own federal weight label, inside the door, carries its cargo capacity as built.
Alliance lists it under Avenue’s All-Access fifth wheels in that brochure, at 32' 11" long, with 48 gal fresh, 106 gal grey and 53 gal black tanks. Fresh water weighs about 8.3 lb per US gallon, so a full fresh tank adds roughly 398 lb before anything else is loaded.
Among the 12 Avenue floorplans whose dry weight Alliance’s 2026 brochure prints, it is number 4 by dry weight, in a range from 7,800 lb to 13,400 lb. Every figure in that comparison comes from the same brochure, for the same model year.
Every number on this page is read from Alliance RV’s 2026 Avenue brochure (marked “New for 2026”, print date 19 September 2025). Alliance does not print exterior height or width, sleeping capacity or tire size against this floorplan there, so those rows read as not published.
How the 29RL differs from the other ten Avenue fifth wheels. Most distinctive first. How these ranks are worked out.
- Dry weight, 9,650 lb: fourth-lightest of ten, between the 25RL (8,700 lb) and the 30BH (10,150 lb).
- GVWR, 11,895 lb: fourth-lowest of ten, between the 23ML, 25RL and 26RD (10,995 lb) and the 30BH (11,995 lb).
- Pin weight, 1,500 lb: fourth-lightest of ten, between the 25RL and 26RD (1,350 lb) and the 30BH (1,600 lb).
- Length, 32 ft 11 in: fourth-shortest of ten, between the 25RL (29 ft 11 in) and the 33RKS (34 ft 5 in).
- Pin weight as a share of dry weight, 15.5%: shared with the 25RL; of ten, one smaller and seven larger, nearest the 23ML (14.5%) and the 30BH (15.8%).
- Fresh tank, 48 gal: smallest of ten, level with the 23ML, 25RL and two others; next are the 32RLS, 33RKS and three others (98 gal).
Next to the 25RL, the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 29RL is 950 lb heavier by dry weight, has a GVWR 900 lb higher, has a pin weight 150 lb heavier, is 3 ft longer and has a grey tank 53 gal larger; the two publish the same fresh tank and black tank.
Next to the 30BH, the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 29RL is 500 lb lighter by dry weight, has a GVWR 100 lb lower, has a pin weight 100 lb lighter and is 1 ft 10 in shorter; the two publish the same fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (11,895 lb) and the upper loaded pin estimate (2,974 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 15–25% of GVWR on the pin, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433).
03 The Avenue floorplan family

04 Notes on this floorplan
What Alliance RV does not publish for the 29RL
No cargo carrying capacity, exterior height or width, sleeping capacity or tire size is printed against this floorplan in Alliance’s 2026 brochure, so those rows read as not published. Nothing is filled from a sibling floorplan, a different model year or a dealer listing.
Read the label on the trailer
Federal rules put a load-carrying label inside every RV trailer: its unloaded weight with full propane, its cargo carrying capacity and its GVWR (49 CFR 571.110 and 571.120). Those figures come from the trailer itself and govern the towing decision.
05 How it compares
8,700 lb dry and 10,995 lb GVWR, against this plan’s 9,650 lb and 11,895 lb.
10,100 lb dry and 11,950 lb GVWR, against this plan’s 9,650 lb and 11,895 lb.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 6 recall campaigns and 4 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Avenue line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
Too few reports to show a pattern. 4 complaints have been filed on this line — not enough to say what fails most often. They cover equipment, parking brake, structure and suspension.
Reports that name the 29RL
1 of those record name this floorplan specifically rather than the line as a whole.
| Type | Date | Reference | What it says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recall | 29 Apr 2024 | 24V303000 | A breaker that overheats increases the risk of a fire. |
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Avenue line page.
