01 What makes it unique
Alliance RV’s 2026 Avenue brochure prints a dry weight of 7,800 lb and a GVWR of 10,995 lb for the 26RD, with a pin weight of 1,350 lb. The brochure prints no cargo carrying capacity, so none is shown here, and none is worked out by subtracting one published figure from the other. The trailer’s own federal weight label, inside the door, carries its cargo capacity as built.
Alliance lists it under Avenue’s All-Access fifth wheels in that brochure, at 28' 10" long, with 48 gal fresh, 53 gal grey and 53 gal black tanks. Fresh water weighs about 8.3 lb per US gallon, so a full fresh tank adds roughly 398 lb before anything else is loaded.
Among the 12 Avenue floorplans whose dry weight Alliance’s 2026 brochure prints, it is number 1 by dry weight, in a range from 7,800 lb to 13,400 lb. Every figure in that comparison comes from the same brochure, for the same model year.
Every number on this page is read from Alliance RV’s 2026 Avenue brochure (marked “New for 2026”, print date 19 September 2025). Alliance does not print exterior height or width, sleeping capacity or tire size against this floorplan there, so those rows read as not published.
How the 26RD differs from the other ten Avenue fifth wheels. Most distinctive first. How these ranks are worked out.
- Dry weight, 7,800 lb: lightest of ten; next is the 23ML (8,270 lb).
- Length, 28 ft 10 in: second-shortest of ten, between the 23ML (27 ft 11 in) and the 25RL (29 ft 11 in).
- Pin weight as a share of dry weight, 17.3%: fifth-smallest of ten, between the 30BH (15.8%) and the 32RLS (18.2%).
- Grey tank, 53 gal: smallest of ten, level with the 25RL; next are the 23ML, 29RL and six others (106 gal).
- GVWR, 10,995 lb: lowest of ten, level with the 23ML and 25RL; next is the 29RL (11,895 lb).
- Pin weight, 1,350 lb: shared with the 25RL; of ten, one lighter and seven heavier, nearest the 23ML (1,200 lb) and the 29RL (1,500 lb).
- Fresh tank, 48 gal: smallest of ten, level with the 23ML, 25RL and two others; next are the 32RLS, 33RKS and three others (98 gal).
Next to the 23ML, the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 26RD is 470 lb lighter by dry weight, has a pin weight 150 lb heavier, is 11 in longer and has a grey tank 53 gal smaller; the two publish the same GVWR, fresh tank and black tank.

Towing it
Check your vehicle. Enter the ratings from your owner’s manual and the door-pillar placard.
Compares your figures with this page’s published GVWR (10,995 lb) and the upper loaded pin estimate (2,749 lb, a rule of thumb). Your vehicle’s placard and the trailer’s own weight label govern.
Loaded range: 15–25% of GVWR on the pin, a rule of thumb, not a measurement of this unit. No truck ratings or hitch classes (why; NHTSA, DOT HS 809 433).
03 The Avenue floorplan family

04 Notes on this floorplan
What Alliance RV does not publish for the 26RD
No cargo carrying capacity, exterior height or width, sleeping capacity or tire size is printed against this floorplan in Alliance’s 2026 brochure, so those rows read as not published. Nothing is filled from a sibling floorplan, a different model year or a dealer listing.
Read the label on the trailer
Federal rules put a load-carrying label inside every RV trailer: its unloaded weight with full propane, its cargo carrying capacity and its GVWR (49 CFR 571.110 and 571.120). Those figures come from the trailer itself and govern the towing decision.
05 How it compares
8,270 lb dry and 10,995 lb GVWR, against this plan’s 7,800 lb and 10,995 lb.
07 Where this floorplan sits
Closest sibling: the Avenue 25RL, nearest on the published figures. It differs on 2 of the 7 fields both publish (this plan first): length 28 ft 10 in vs 29 ft 11 in; dry weight 7,800 lb vs 8,700 lb. They match on GVWR, hitch weight, fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.

11 NHTSA safety record
NHTSA holds 6 recall campaigns and 4 owner complaints (model years 2005 on) against the Avenue line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
Too few reports to show a pattern. 4 complaints have been filed on this line — not enough to say what fails most often. They cover equipment, parking brake, structure and suspension.
Reports that name the 26RD
1 of those record name this floorplan specifically rather than the line as a whole.
| Type | Date | Reference | What it says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recall | 29 Apr 2024 | 24V303000 | A breaker that overheats increases the risk of a fire. |
Recall coverage here is not complete, and complaints are owners’ unverified reports (how this record is built). Check a specific VIN at NHTSA before you buy. Full tables are on the Avenue line page.
