01 What makes it unique
The 292RE is the same 34-foot body as the 290KB pointed at a completely different buyer. CrossRoads describes it as a spacious travel trailer with a queen bed, a well-appointed kitchenette and a living area with recliners and a fireplace, sleeping six on two slides. Where the 290KB spends the length on bunks, the 292RE spends it on the lounge. The 2025 published standards for the line list a Super Flex Alpha roof under a limited lifetime warranty, a heated and enclosed underbelly, front diamond plate, pass-through storage, a tankless water heater and an electric awning.
CrossRoads publishes a 9,600-pound GVWR against a 7,550-pound dry weight — the same GVWR as the 290KB on 488 more pounds of dry weight, which drops the cargo capacity to 2,050 pounds. The dry tongue is 802 pounds and the tank set is 45/42/42 gallons fresh/grey/black. The one figure to check before you plan a patio: the factory lists a 10-foot awning, the shortest on the Zinger roster and ten feet shorter than the 320FB's, on a body of almost identical length.

03 The Zinger floorplan family
The Zinger is CrossRoads' full-size value travel trailer. It is one of three separate rosters in the Zinger family — the lighter Zinger Lite and the single-axle Zinger Lite Mini carry their own floorplan codes and their own weights, and nothing is shared between them. All nine 2026 Zinger plans are profiled in full and linked below. The 292RE on this page is highlighted.

Zinger is a cross-shop against Forest River's Salem / Wildwood and Aurora, Prime Time's Avenger, Keystone's Springdale, Coachmen's Catalina and Palomino's Puma. The family runs three separate rosters that share no floorplan codes: this full-size Zinger, the lighter tandem-axle Zinger Lite and the single-axle Zinger Lite Mini. The 2026 factory roster carries nine travel-trailer plans and all nine are profiled here in full. Dry weight, GVWR, cargo capacity and dry tongue weight are published per plan and each plan's dry weight plus cargo capacity equals its GVWR exactly, so the weights below are shown unflagged with no derivation. Dry weight is a factory estimate; real loaded tongue weights run higher — always weigh the loaded trailer and confirm against your vehicle's tow rating and payload.
04 What owners & reviewers report
The shortest awning on the roster
The factory publishes a 10-foot awning — the shortest of the nine 2026 Zinger plans, on a 34-foot body. Corroborated against the RVUSA record, so it is the published figure rather than a transcription error.
Recliners and a fireplace, not bunks
The factory describes a queen bed with a living area built around recliners and a fireplace — the six berths are a couples rating, not a family one.
Black tank correction
The CrossRoads factory record publishes a 42-gallon black tank and the RVUSA record publishes 44. The factory figure is used here. It is the only tank disagreement in the entire Zinger family.
Cargo capacity
At 2,050 pounds the cargo capacity is 488 pounds below the 290KB's on the same GVWR — the fireplace and recliners cost payload.
Weigh the loaded trailer
Dry weight is a factory estimate and real loaded tongue weights run above the 802-pound base — weigh the loaded trailer and use a weight-distributing hitch.
05 How it compares
The 290KB — the same 34-foot body with two bunks and eleven berths instead of recliners and six.
The 340LR — the roster's other six-berth lounge plan, four feet longer with an 11,200-pound GVWR.
Forest River's Aurora — a laminated-sidewall cross-shop in the same couples bracket.
