01 What makes it unique

The 24TRUNK puts 50-by-72 bunks across the rear that the drawing in Forest River’s December 2025 Alpha Wolf brochure labels removable and stackable, next to a bath with a tub/shower, a medicine cabinet and a porcelain toilet. The one slide carries a U-shape dinette and the 12-volt refrigerator; the kitchen block opposite has the microwave, overhead cabinets and pantry storage, with an entertainment center with a TV and fireplace. Up front is a 60-by-80 queen bedroom with wardrobes. Outside: an 18-foot awning, an outside kitchen and outside storage. One slide-out and one entry door.

Forest River’s December 2025 Alpha Wolf brochure prints a 6,403-pound UVW, a 1,542-pound CCC and a 945-pound hitch weight, 30 ft 9 in long, 11 ft 0 in high and 96 inches wide, with 81-gallon fresh, 35-gallon grey and 35-gallon black tanks; Forest River’s 2026 Alpha Wolf roster (saved 6 Aug 2026) agrees on the four figures it prints. Neither prints a GVWR, so none is shown and none is computed.

It is the shortest of the brochure’s bunk plans (the 26DBH, 280QBS, 29TB and 33BH are the others). The brochure’s standard, Weather Guard and Limited package lists apply line-wide: laminated exterior walls with block-foam insulation, a drop-frame design with “SuperStor” basement storage, an 81-gallon “Niagara” fresh tank, an armored underbelly tank enclosure with forced-air heat and 12-volt heat pads, a 15,000-BTU central air conditioner, an on-demand tankless water heater, a 12-volt residential-style refrigerator, 4-corner power stabilizer jacks, a power front jack and the Juice Pack 100-watt solar package.

How the 24TRUNK differs from the other ten Alpha Wolf floorplans. Most distinctive first. How these ranks are worked out.

  • Dry weight, 6,403 lb: third-lightest of eleven, between the 21RB (5,578 lb) and the 25RB (6,581 lb).
  • Cargo capacity, 1,542 lb: third-smallest of eleven, between the 26DBH (1,330 lb) and the 280QBS (2,027 lb).
  • Tongue weight as a share of dry weight, 14.8%: third-largest of eleven, between the 26DBH (14.4%) and the 26RL and 29DCB (14.9%).
  • Length, 30 ft 9 in: third-shortest of eleven, between the 22SW (27 ft) and the 25RB (31 ft 1 in).
  • Tongue weight, 945 lb: fifth-lightest of eleven, between the 25RB (910 lb) and the 26DBH (955 lb).
  • Grey tank, 35 gal: smallest of ten, level with the 21RB, 25RB and two others; next are the 26RL, 29DCB and three others (70 gal).

Next to the 21RB, the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 24TRUNK is 825 lb heavier by dry weight, has 545 lb less cargo capacity, has a tongue weight 280 lb heavier and is 5 ft 3 in longer; the two publish the same exterior height, fresh tank, grey tank, black tank and slide-out count.

Next to the 25RB, the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 24TRUNK is 178 lb lighter by dry weight, has 213 lb more cargo capacity, has a tongue weight 35 lb heavier and is 4 in shorter; the two publish the same exterior height, fresh tank, grey tank, black tank and slide-out count.

03 The Alpha Wolf floorplan family

Alpha Wolf is the laminated-fiberglass tier of Forest River's Cherokee travel-trailer family — a construction step above the metal-sided Grey Wolf and Wolf Den on the same drop-frame bumper-pull architecture, and a cross-shop against Forest River's own Salem / Wildwood, Jayco's Jay Flight, Keystone's Passport and Coachmen's Catalina. Eleven floorplans are published for 2026.

Alpha Wolf is the laminated-fiberglass tier of Forest River's Cherokee travel-trailer family — a construction step above the metal-sided Grey Wolf and Wolf Den on the same drop-frame, bumper-pull architecture. Eleven floorplans are published for 2026. Nine are profiled in depth here; the other two are catalogued from published specifications only. Forest River publishes no sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size or MSRP for this line in any of its three spec channels, so those rows are absent rather than estimated.

04 Notes on this floorplan

A full fresh tank uses 44% of the cargo budget

81 gallons of water weighs about 672 pounds. On a 1,542-pound CCC that leaves roughly 870 pounds for everything else — travel with the tank low and fill near camp.

Removable bunks

The drawing labels the rear bunks removable and stackable, which opens the rear for gear when the children are not along.

Sleeping capacity is not published

Neither Forest River record prints a sleep count; this page does not estimate one.

05 How it compares

→ More cargo
Alpha Wolf 280QBS

3 feet 3 inches longer and 265 pounds heavier unloaded, but 485 pounds more cargo capacity and a rear queen bedroom option.

→ Bigger bunkhouse
Alpha Wolf 26DBH

The two-door bunkhouse with double-stacked bunks; 222 pounds heavier unloaded with 212 pounds less cargo capacity.

↔ Cross-shop
Cherokee Grey Wolf

The metal-sided Cherokee tier below on the same drop-frame architecture.
