01 What makes it unique
The 29TB’s rear room has a 32-by-60 flip-up top bunk over a wardrobe and a 32-by-72 flip-up top bunk over a tri-fold sofa, by the drawing in Forest River’s December 2025 Alpha Wolf brochure. A bath with a shower, a medicine cabinet and a porcelain toilet sits between that room and the living area. The slide carries a jack-knife sofa and a U-shape dinette; the kitchen has a pantry, 12-volt refrigerator, microwave and overhead cabinets, with an angled entertainment center and fireplace. Up front is a 60-by-80 queen with wardrobes. Outside: an outside kitchen, outside storage and an awning the drawing labels “20” with no unit printed. One slide-out and one entry door.
Forest River’s December 2025 Alpha Wolf brochure prints a 7,358-pound UVW, a 2,400-pound CCC and a 1,015-pound hitch weight, 36 ft 4 in long, 11 ft 0 in high and 96 inches wide, with 81-gallon fresh, 70-gallon grey and 35-gallon black tanks; Forest River’s 2026 Alpha Wolf roster (saved 6 Aug 2026) agrees on the four figures it prints. Neither prints a GVWR, so none is shown and none is computed.
It is 100 pounds heavier unloaded than the rear-living 26RL, with 92 pounds less CCC — nearly the same trailer on a scale, laid out for a family. The brochure’s standard, Weather Guard and Limited package lists apply line-wide: laminated exterior walls with block-foam insulation, a drop-frame design with “SuperStor” basement storage, an 81-gallon “Niagara” fresh tank, an armored underbelly tank enclosure with forced-air heat and 12-volt heat pads, a 15,000-BTU central air conditioner, an on-demand tankless water heater, a 12-volt residential-style refrigerator, 4-corner power stabilizer jacks, a power front jack and the Juice Pack 100-watt solar package.
How the 29TB differs from the other ten Alpha Wolf floorplans. Most distinctive first. How these ranks are worked out.
- Dry weight, 7,358 lb: fourth-heaviest of eleven, between the 26RL (7,258 lb) and the 29DCB (7,818 lb).
- Cargo capacity, 2,400 lb: fourth-largest of eleven, between the 29DCB (2,317 lb) and the 26RL (2,492 lb).
- Length, 36 ft 4 in: fourth-longest of eleven, between the 26RL (34 ft 6 in) and the 33BH (37 ft 2 in).
- Tongue weight, 1,015 lb: fifth-heaviest of eleven, between the 26DBH (955 lb) and the 26RL (1,080 lb).
- Grey tank, 70 gal: largest of ten, level with the 26RL, 29DCB and two others; next are the 21RB, 24TRUNK and three others (35 gal).
- Tongue weight as a share of dry weight, 13.8%: shared with the 25RB; of eleven, four smaller and five larger, nearest the 33RL (13.5%) and the 33BH (14.1%).
Next to the 26RL, the nearest lighter floorplan by dry weight, the 29TB is 100 lb heavier by dry weight, has 92 lb less cargo capacity, has a tongue weight 65 lb lighter, is 1 ft 10 in longer, stands 2 in lower and has one fewer slide-out; the two publish the same fresh tank, grey tank and black tank.
Next to the 29DCB, the nearest heavier floorplan by dry weight, the 29TB is 460 lb lighter by dry weight, has 83 lb more cargo capacity, has a tongue weight 150 lb lighter and is 1 ft 1 in shorter; the two publish the same exterior height, fresh tank, grey tank, black tank and slide-out count.

03 The Alpha Wolf floorplan family
Alpha Wolf is the laminated-fiberglass tier of Forest River's Cherokee travel-trailer family — a construction step above the metal-sided Grey Wolf and Wolf Den on the same drop-frame bumper-pull architecture, and a cross-shop against Forest River's own Salem / Wildwood, Jayco's Jay Flight, Keystone's Passport and Coachmen's Catalina. Eleven floorplans are published for 2026.

Alpha Wolf is the laminated-fiberglass tier of Forest River's Cherokee travel-trailer family — a construction step above the metal-sided Grey Wolf and Wolf Den on the same drop-frame, bumper-pull architecture. Eleven floorplans are published for 2026. Nine are profiled in depth here; the other two are catalogued from published specifications only. Forest River publishes no sleeping capacity, axle count, tire size or MSRP for this line in any of its three spec channels, so those rows are absent rather than estimated.
04 Notes on this floorplan
70-gallon grey tank
Twice the grey capacity of the 24TRUNK and 280QBS — useful with more people washing aboard.
Flip-up bunks
Both top bunks fold up, so the rear room works as a lounge with the tri-fold sofa by day.
Check payload and rear-axle ratings
A 1,015-lb tongue before loading, and no GVWR in either Forest River record. Weigh the rig loaded.
05 How it compares
2 feet 4 inches shorter and 690 pounds lighter unloaded, with a rear queen bedroom option.
Three slides, a kitchen island and a half bath; 705 pounds heavier unloaded with 202 pounds more cargo capacity.
The rear-living couples’ plan, 100 pounds lighter unloaded — pick by layout, not by towing.
06 Loading it for a trip
A full 81-gallon fresh tank is about 672 lb of water, 28% of the 29TB’s 2,400 lb cargo capacity, leaving 1,728 lb. Across 11 Alpha Wolf floorplans the water share runs 26% to 51%, and 7 give up more than this one. Nearest on that share: Alpha Wolf 26RL at 27% and Alpha Wolf 29DCB at 29%.
07 Where this floorplan sits

NHTSA holds 2 recall campaigns against the Cherokee Alpha Wolf line (a recall and a complaint are not the same thing).
