01 What makes it unique
The Catalina Legacy Edition 293TQBSCK is the line’s private-bunkhouse family coach. The rear bunk room gives kids or guests their own space with queen-size bunk beds, underbed storage and a linen closet for clean clothes, closed off for privacy; the front master holds a walk-around queen with dual wardrobes and quick access to a dual-entry bath. Between them, the combined living and kitchen area opens on a single large slide with a U-shaped dinette and an SLS sofa with drink holders. Nominal sleeping is ten across the bunk room, the master, the dinette and the sofa — one of the highest-capacity Legacy plans — and an electric fireplace is an available option.
At 7,868 pounds unloaded and 36 feet 1 inch, the 293TQBSCK is a stout half-ton or a light three-quarter-ton tow, with a healthy 2,000-pound cargo capacity and a 1,068-pound hitch. It carries the Legacy tier’s standard content: solid-surface kitchen counters, upgraded aluminum wheels, a 21-foot power awning, a standard outside camp kitchen with a pull-out griddle, a cabinet and a refrigerator, and washer/dryer-capable wiring, on top of the line’s GE 10.7-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator, 60,000-BTU tankless water heater and 13,500-BTU ducted heat-pump air conditioner. A 35,000-BTU furnace with residential in-floor ducted heat handles cold weather, a 59-gallon grey tank suits a busy family, and 50-amp service with up to three air conditioners is available.
Construction is the same metal-sided value build as the rest of the line — a Norco powder-coated steel I-beam frame with full-length outriggers, a Platinum .024-inch aluminum exterior with a smooth radius front, a seamless Alpha roof membrane and a 5/8-inch StableDeck floor — with JBL Aura audio and a 600-watt solar prep. For a family that wants a genuinely private rear bunk room, a real front master and a dual-entry bath in a half-ton-friendly package, the 293TQBSCK is the private-bunkhouse pick of the line.

04 What owners & reviewers report
A genuinely private bunk room
Queen-size bunk beds, underbed storage and a linen closet, closed off from the living area — kids or guests get their own space at the rear.
Dual-entry bath plus a real master
A walk-around queen with dual wardrobes up front and a bath reachable from both the bedroom and the main living area.
Half-ton-friendly with a healthy payload
At 7,868 lbs unloaded with a 2,000-lb cargo capacity, the 293TQBSCK pairs a strong half-ton or light three-quarter-ton truck with real loading headroom — confirm against your door-jamb rating.
Sleeps figure varies by source
Most dealers list sleeps ten; confirm the exact berth count and configuration for the unit you are buying.
Selling price runs below the placard
Dealer MSRP placards run in the low-to-high $40,000s and to $59,000 on heavily optioned units, while 2026 selling prices commonly land in the high-$30,000s; the figure shown is dealer-typical selling and is flagged.
Current factory weights differ from older listings
Some dealer listings still carry the 2025 figures (UVW 7,521, hitch 978, GVWR 9,778); the current 2026 Coachmen factory record reads UVW 7,868, hitch 1,068, GVWR 9,868 and is used here.
05 How it compares
The shorter dual-entry Legacy bunkhouse — lighter and cheaper, with double-over-double bunks instead of a separate private queen-bunk room.
The two-slide bunk-room family coach — a stowable-bunk bunk room with a COA cube futon and a full-size outside camp kitchen, heavier with a tighter payload.
A laminated-aluminum family bunkhouse one construction tier up — cross-shop build and price.
